    Large room, well furbished. Quiet, comfortable. Room only rate good value (we did not eat breakfast in the hotel)

    Limited evening menu.

    Hotel was nice, staff were friendly, good facilities, beds were comfortable

    breakfast was expensive. also staff were noisy in the mornings when cleaning rooms was woken at approximately 7am due to doors banging shut and staff talking on corridor

    The hotel seemed to offer everything that a good hotel should. We were very happy with nearly (see below) every aspect of our stay. We found the staff particularly helpful, noting with pleasure the immediate involvement of the young lady in Reception when there was no one else around to help with our bags.

    Only one (minor) criticism. We think you should grit your teeth and make the investment into the current generation of TV. The one in our room wasn't even the last generation and did not work well.

    The practice of the hotel to charge the same for continental breakfast as for full English (£12.95) is totally unjustifiable. Neither the work involved nor the cost of materials can be equated. £12.95 for a small packet of cereals, toast which you do yourself and tea/coffee is unacceptable.

    night porter was excellent resolving problems

    room very cold, beds too hard, old fashioned TV only 4 channels, breakfast expensive; we only wanted tea and toast and were told it would be over £12, reception staff not very friendly

    "we were disappointed with the communication with your staff,resulting in an unhappy stay,i have stayed in several Best Westerns and have worked in the one at south milford were i believe the situation would of been handled better." (107692405)

    My self and friend had a pleasent nights sleep.However my two friends who stayed in another room had very little sleep all night,due to a loud TV and an arguing couple next door,when the couple had had an early breakfast and left at seven my friends then hoped to get some sleep,however they were then knocked up by your staff wanting to clean the rooms.we explained to your reception staff who did not apologize but proceeded to take our money from us,then she said would we wait and she would get the duty manager.the gentleman said he was unable to do anything because the duty manager from the night shift had not left a report.My friends did not complain during the night because they heard other guests complaining and several people knocked on the couples door asking them to be quiet.

    Nice hotel- spacious rooms and nice decor

    Quite pricey for what it is, breakfast also expensive for what it is. Staff not that friendly. Had to pay for newspapers- a little thing, but is is quite an expensive hotel.

    Have Stayed here a number of times, consistent offering and good food, decent standard of rooms. Free Car parking.

    I think the TV's, the pictures and the channels offered could be improved, poor picture and few channels. A little bit away from the centre of Harrogate 15-20 min walk, if you need to be in the centre of town.

    Service and facilities were good.The Hotel was warm and ambient. The staff were kind and helpful if ill-trained and lacking good language skills.

    Food ,abyssmal. Lack of smoking area unacceptable. Service, average.

    "We were very disappointed with this hotel. Although very clean and the first impression was good, the standard of service and lack of choice at breakfast let it down." (97897373)

    Very clean. Food of good quality but not everything on brakfast menu was available.

    Inadequate lighting in room - impossible to read a book. Staff do not understand customer service. Room service extremely slow. Paper-thin walls.

    Cleanliness of hotel was excellent

    Toilet would not flush and there was a thermostat in the room that could not be altered and it kept making clicking noises all night

    The hotel room was basic, the standard of the bathroom was good.

    I thought that breakfast was very expensive and could have been included.

    "Had a lovely weekend and the hotel was lovely in nice gardens and had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would stay again tomorrow." (107179568)

    Hotel was nicely decorated, clean and the staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and clean. Tea, coffe and biscuits were in room too.

    flush handle on toilet was wobbly and didn't always flush straight away. Had to try a few times before it worked. Also I took my own CK one soap which was removed from bathroom by cleaning staff after the first night. Probably so that I could use a new piece of their own. Towels were changed unnecessarily. We would have used the towels on the next day too to save the environment.

    Convenient location. Interconnecting rooms that were very useful for family with young children. Quiet with friendly helpful staff

    Tired appearance. Room were uncomfortably hot and it was very overpriced for what it was. It may have once been a four star hotel but it isn't now.

    Convenient location, pub food reasonably priced and delicious, complimentary car park, room clean and staff efficient.

    Room was very warm, could have used a fan.

    Convenient for Harrogate City centre staff very helpful (ordered a taxi for us)

    Bar prices were very high but its to be expected!

    "We booked this hotel because we were to attend a function in Harrogate and the Best Western proved to be very conveniently located. It was easy to find and a short walk from the middle of the town. The room was comfortable and had in it everything we would have expected.It was also quiet which we consider to be an imporatnt feature in a hotel stay. The staff were helpful and pleasant and we would recommend this particular hotel. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that aspect." (97651631)

    The location of the restaurant did not appeal to us, a bit public as if you would be eating in the foyer.

    Great value, very clean overall, functional, loved the duvet

    pillows need replacing,extremely uncomfortable. TV lower than height of bed so had to put on side table to watch. No spare pillows, no spare blanket, only one shower wash. Looked as if our room was for single occupant.

    Central location to Harrogate, bar staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable.

    I booked a twin room online 6 weeks prior to visit but no twin rooms were available at check-in. I was initially offered the honeymoon suite with a put-up bed for my son. This I rejected and requested reception find me another hotel. I was then offered a single room and the honeymoon suite for the same price as a twin, which I accepted. The toilet in the suite did not flush properley and I reported this to reception after the first night but still was not fixed at check-out on day 2 of our stay. There was no hot water in the hotel on the 2nd day.

    "Excellent situation for access to town and other amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and brassiere were also very good. The only fault we (two couples) had was the exhorbitant price of drinks at the in house bar - all hotel bars are expensive but the drinks here were really over priced. Everything else was spot on and we would still use the hotel again despite this fault." (97724883)

    the size of the room was larger than expected.Beds very comfy. Lovely view from our room located at the front of hotel

    "Lovely hotel in an excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from the city centre, and overlooking open park land. Although it is on a main road and we were in a room at the front, we were not troubled by traffic noise even with the window open. Even a wedding party in the reception rooms could not be heard. Staff were helpful & courteous. Breakfast was served in a lovely bright, sunny room and was good, if a little expensive." (97861701)

    "We found the hotel to be very clean and tidy, there was a good selection of choice for breakfast. Would have liked the option to have breakfast included in the initial cost when booking, however, do feel we had value for money. Staff very helpful and polite." (97002193)
