    Relatively cheap

    The hotel was very tired looking. Carpets in bedroom were badly frayed, missing buttons on jacuzzi bath, broken fittings in bathroom and no wifi or internet connections in room esp since mobile phone signals were weak

    Breakfast was nice.

    Bed Uncomfortable, Springy with one pillow on bed - Bathroom unclean, Thin walls. At the bar was served Glasses with Lipstick marks on them.

    Hotel reception and function suite was beautiful, and breakfast was good.

    When ordering a bottle of wine we asked for medium sized glasses and we were given 2 with lipstick on, the bar man then preceeded to look for others after looking at 12 that also had lipstick/marks on he asked if we would mind having a small glass! WE had 1 pillow each and it was the thinest pillow I had ever slept on.

    Value for money, i.e. cheap. Grounds were lovely

    Because it was cheap, didn't expect much and thats what we got, bedding was poor, rooms a bit shabby. Bar food was rubbish

    reasonable price

    jacuzzi bath switch fell to pieces on use / had to drain bath and resort to shower / it had obviously been an unresolved problem for sometime as the bath seal to floor + some tiles were in a poor state of repair.did report fault to reception.

    "only there for overnight stay as we were attending a retirement party. Function room was nice and had great time at party. only concern was condition of room. possibly a one off case of rushed cleaner. ! " (108537636)

    Booking and check-in exellent. Lobby / Foyer / grounds tidy & clean. 11 am checkout time. good parking facilities.

    Beds not fully made. Old tissues and wrappings found at side of beds. mould stains around bath seals and tiles. could do with renewal / upgrade. Partner had to push beds together as we had twin room which was not a problem but you could write your name in the dust behind them. Although we had a 11 am checkout time, cleaner entered room at approx 08.30 hrs whilst i was still in bed.

    breakfast very good staff very helpful, bar staff very helpful and polite.

    Reception staff very unhelpful, we required directions to stadium for a concert advised us anable to walk there, we asked for map they said there was no map did not attempt to look details up on internet or draw us map. We were unable to get taxi home at first due to the crowds and had to start walking and we did not know any directions.

    Spacious hotel, nice grounds, plenty of parking, staff pleasant, pool. Good price.

    Hotel is a little dated in places. Some rooms don't have a bath which isn't specified. We were confused if food is served all day.

    Staff polite, breakfast reasonable

    Stayed in double room 122, room in need of updating. Wallpaper peeling in places, bathroom grubby around the edges, basin pedastal and taps. mattress springy, very uncomfortable. Bedroom carpet grubby round edges and fluff visble under wardrobe, curtain hooks missing.

    Bathroom was tired and shower would not drain properly. There was confusion on payment: The hotel said they did not receive payment for the room.

    "Have stayed before a couple of years ago. Thought the bedrooms might have been refurbished but got an upgrade so it wasn't too bad. Had a good deal through Active so for one night we (group of 6)were quite satisfied. " (107832193)

    Good value for money. Lovely grounds. On site carvery meant no one had to drive.

    Food in restaurant was excellent.

    Doors have automatic returns on them that are too strong. Room doors slam shut behind you disturbing guests.

    Room available when we arrived. Use of gym, although at extra charge.

    Bar staff unavailable to serve when we went down at about 7 on the Wednesday night, also no one available to let us eat at the restaurant so we were forced to leave the hotel and find a meal elsewhere - we had wanted to chill out and enjoy a drink and meal at the hotel we were staying!!

    Room very nice, jacuzi an unexpected extra. Good value for £29

    Bar very poor. Boring and dull. No one else in, no heating, no music, menu poor, no decent beer, wine very expensive. Went for a meal in local pub.

    good and easy commiute to the ricoh Standium

    Rooms could do with a make over, the chocolate coloured bathroom suite makes you think that you have gone back in time.

    the room was wonderful and so was the jacussi staff were very polite and friendly the hotel had a very grand feel and the food was excellent

    bathroom could have been a little cleaner and the bed softer

    The staff were very helpful, reception let us check in early as the room was available, restaurant staff were very nice

    The walls are very thin in some parts of the hotel (partition walls)and was woken by a very noisy drunk couple at 2.30am - Delightful, who then proceeded to snore all night long. Some parts could do with refurbishing

    a bed to sleep in!, and breakfast staff very helpful

    Reception - English terrible, and does not know her left to right, sent us all over the place to find the room, second left was first left, and really not helpful in getting a taxi to the awards function, left us for ages trying with a phone "that does not always work"

    Room service staff genuinely attentive. Web instructions on locating hotel slightly inaccurate.

    Beds had springs coming through, uncomfortable.

    Information flow integrity between booking site and hotel reception - have booked room with jacuzzi, have got one without - but after climing at reception have got what wanted

    Staff were excellent, room spaceous, well decorated throughout but the sofas badly worn arms which detracted on appearance. Beautiful manor house setting for meals with well kept garden view.

    On first morning I had an issue with the shower starved from water probably due to high demand at 07:00 - 07:30? Food was acceptable but was overcooked each time as sits on the servery for so long.

    only 2 very thin pillows on double bed, old thin blanket.leaking shower/bath. No WirellessConnection for computer in any room - it IS 2008!!! Ordered Mornign papaer but not delivered had to ask at reception after breakfast.
