    "I stay in many hotels and this hotel has got to be the best in a long while. It is a real gem. The staff, the rooms, the food are all excellent. I had breakfast served in my room and it was the best quality breakfast I have had in my room - EVER! I have stayed in many 5 star hotels including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt etc and this hotel beats them all. The superior rooms are well worth the extra money because of the walk in shower and the little balcony outside where you can watch the golfers and the rolling countryside." (108578716)

    "A real find - quiet, restful, even the basic (Executive) room was comfy with excellent bed and linens. Superb power shower and spotless bathroom. Very good entertainment system (at extra charge) with good choice of movies, music and other programming; internet access rather pricey however. ALthough quiet - don't think many people were staying, the rooms were quiet - I heard nothing from outide which must be a first. Breakfast (included) was fine, the continental had a particularly good choice; the full English cooked to order - and tons of tea with a smile. Roosters - pub across the drive did excellent snack and light meals at good prices; only downside you can't reserve so either you have to turn up early (the place was packed at 6.30 on a Saturday) and have a few drinks before ordering or resign yourself to eating early. All meals looked generous and fresh, and all very good value. Would definitely stay again (at discount rates) on a trip in/to the area. Easy to find from M1 and reasonably good for access to south Peak District." (97299160)

    Standard of furnishings and setting (peaceful, surrounded by beautifully landscaped golf course)

    Nothing particularly, bathroom a little chilly (no heating) and have to go outside to bars/restaurants which in winter is quite bracing.

    "Everything was perfect, from the amenities to the view and from the service to the staff, I could find no fault. I am only sorry that my travel plans called me to leave the hotel for one night and then return. I felt like Morley Hayes was my little refuge at night." (97977351)

    The bed was wonderful and fluffy. Good soundproofing. Did not hear anything outside my room.

    "We stayed at this hotel as my cousin was getting married there, made the right choice and would definitely consider this hotel again when revisinting the area. The rates are pretty high - and maybe a weekend special would be favourable to encourage like ourselves the advantage to stay at such a pleasurable place more often." (97061151)

    "The hotel was as I had been led to believe by a visitor friend. Good standard of accomodation which was matched by the price. Very peaceful setting shame that there wasn't any other recreation such as pool etc althougth doubt whether we would have used it in the time available. Would definity recommend to anybody."     "At check-in we were upgraded to a suite, but they honored the rate I was quoted online when I called it to their attention. Staff was very attentive and the General Manager spoke to us on several occasions, enquiring about our stay. Food in the Roosters bar was very good and a good value for the money." (3304540456)

    Room was spacious and clean with many extra ammenities. View from our room was spectacular.
