    "Tevreden over hotel - ontevreden over slechte geur in de kamer - rook absoluut niet fris. Kleine kamer maar alle basisfaciliteiten waren aanwezig." (107922148)

    Goede ligging, goede service, vlot, redelijke prijs

    De geur van de kamer was slecht - alsof het recent als rookkamer was gebruikt - of slecht verlucht was. Het verkeer was op verdieping drie de ganse nacht licht storend.

    ubicacion inmejorable dentro de la ciudad, y la mayoria de los empleados son hospitalarios....nos sentimos muy a gusto

    muy mala atención del personal al momento del chek out.no me respetaron el precio de la reserva, y no funcionaba el sistema (computadora) el dia 29 de junio de 2009 a las 5 am, por lo que pasé un mal momento al partir, con la incertidumbre de lo que iban a cargar en mi tarjeta de credito... La habitación resultó demasiado pequeña, pero de todas maneras estuvimos cómodas.-

    Too long to check in. To long a wait on the lifts at one point had to use the stairs to the 4th.floor. Dificult to make any changes at hotel. Having to settle Bill when it reached 500 pounds although using platinum credit card.

    Despite having booked 2 single rooms, hotel attempted to allocate both of us to a twin room. This took some time to sort out. I am very unimpressed with this.

    "Did not think that the staff had a level of commitment needed for such a busy prominent hotel..There seemed to be many communication problems.For example I checked in on a morning ..I asked if this included breakfast."Yes, but you cannot get breakfast now.It is for tomorrow morning "....I have never had this said to me in forty years of visiting hotels and bed and breafast establishments.I also said to the lady at the initial contact at reception that although I had a pile of cards with me that I could only use one card as I could not renmember the other secret numbers..She told me to walk back out and get cash.Then it turned out that I could have given any card as she explained later that she did not need the secret number typed into a terminal !!!!"     Hotel near Bloomsbury and other places I wanted to get too.Easy access to hotel as it is near Underground station...

    Staff seemed as though they could not care less about you.Tap did not seem to be working properly in room.Some T.V.channels were not very good reception..

    lovely hotel - enjoyable stay

    The shower in our room was poor - I could just about get into the shower cubicle and the water pretty much dribbled out - I wasn't willing to pay an extra £4 to go into the shower in the leisure facilities, because I think that if you are staying at the hotel the leisure facilities should be free - they are at the Hilton hotels - if they are free for guest we were told otherwise by your staff.

    Staff were very friendly, and good central location to all places in london

    Air conditioner could be updated, so can adjust, as was v hot and air con was not pumping out enough cool air. Fan not working in the bathroom

    Helpful porter carried my bag down steps.

    When booking breakfast and room at an inclusive price you did not make clear from the outset that this would involve a minimalist "2go" breakfast with very limited food, no second cup of coffee and nowhere comfortable to sit and eat-this is totally unacceptable marketing. Others were also perplexed at this arrangement.

    "We had a great visit. Were totally satisfied with the location of the hotel. Given we were not staying in a 5 star hotel we were not overly bothered by small oversights. The staff when approached for assistance of any kind were helpful, always polite and professional. Whilst they were not overly attentive or chatty - this is due to the fact that they are a very busy hotel. Basically the staff assisted but then had to move onto the next person. We would stay there again for a short visit of 2 nights. " (107627892)

    St Giles is a busy hotel. The internet booking process, check in and check out were great. We chose the hotel based on location - which is excellent. We were able to walk to many of the sights in London & for those not within in walking distance the tube & bus are a short distance. We arrived early in the morning of check in from Southampton and our room was ready for us without any extra charge. The room though small was clean and in the main well presented and kept. We were visiting from Australia & had a late flight home - St Giles assisted by looking after our luggage post checked out without any additional charge. This allowed us to do more sight seeing, shopping etc prior to us leaving for Heathrow.

    The room was quite small. The bed was uncomfortable - but we were only staying for 2 nights (at the end of a 2 week cruise of the Mediterranean). Basically we chose this hotel for location - & it was reasonably priced for London accommodation. Therefore the lack of toilet tissue in our room on check in was not in the scheme of things the biggest issue of the century. On our second day housekeeping only left one bath towel - again not the biggest issue of the century - a simple call to reception rectified this problem. No airconditioning - which is understandable in London but the room became quite warm on a low 20 degree celsius day. We utilised the portable fan (which is provided in the room) to make the night more comfortable.

    The room was clean and the cleaner did a great job. It was positive that St Giles Hotel had a saftey box on the room. The location of the hotel was a big plus!

    The breakfast could be better. We had breakfast included in the room and we only had a cup of coffea, fruit and a dry croissant. We didn´t eat us fill. A better selection of breads and sandwitch-filling would be good. Also it was bad that we couldn´t use the pool without paying extra.

    room no air conditioning, very warm, a bit noisy, tv is to high after finished watching, got cramp neck, no other lights except table lamp. the check in process very slow due to only 2 check in counter during peak period.

    "Overall this hotel was adequate, however I would not recommend it to those staying more than a night or two, and certainly not to light sleepers. My friend and I found the rooms extremely hot, even though we had no radiator on. There was no air conditioning, and as the windows only open a few inches, the air that gets into the room is very little. Outside many rooms on a particular side of the hotel there is some sort of ventilation system which is on 24 hours a day. It is extremely loud, and opening the window at night makes it all the worse. I am a light sleeper and found it impossible to get any rest because of this. The room itself was not large, but cosy and bright nonetheless, and the beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of spare pillows and blankets, and also lots of towels. The shower head is not adjustable, so this is a minus point for anyone who isn't 6'3, but that's just an observation. A point to note; if you don't plan on getting up early in the mornings, do remember to hang the 'do not disturb' sign on the outside of your door. Room service can arrive at a revoltingly early hour in the morning! There is a concierge service, but if you intend on calling for assistance with plans etc., I suggest leaving it before or after check in/out times, as they become manically busy. Staff seem friendly enough, although they don't always remember to restock the tea making facilities. All in all, I personally wouldn't return to this hotel because of the noise and heat factor, but perhaps guests who are used to staying in a big city would not notice this at all. It's a good place to stay for a night or two, but definitely not much longer than that. I expected more, judging from the first appearance of the plush entrance foyer, but it's close proximity to the tube and shopping areas make up for it. Happy holidays to all! :)" (97859779)

    Excellent staff, clean and operating facilities, very good location in London.

    Room was exceptionally small. The room safe, although repaired twice by staff, never operated consistently or properly. That was a major problem in that I had to constantly carry valuables on my person to ensure their safety.

    Very well located

    Shower dials were very stiff with result that I couldn't turn the shower off in the morning - only just managed to do it in the evening. Also the temperature control was stiff so couldn't get water below 38 degrees - too hot! I origianlly booked 4 rooms but had to cancel one. Lucklity I had wrtten confirmation as the hotel had no note of the cancellation. Check-in took far too long and other residents told me this was always the case, so I reckon they should get their computers sorted out.
