"We expected a generally good standard but can say without doubt we will avoid this hotel and all Holiday Inns in future. We travel between Dubai and the USA frequently and like to stop in London to vist family and friends. Would certainly not reccommend this hotel to any friends or collegues." (107481954)
Hard to find any good points. It was an extremely lack lustre experience. Surly, unhelpful, uncommunicative reception staff. 6am alarm call given at 6.25am. Badly cracked floor tiles in bathroom, had to put towel down to avoid cutting feet. No useful shower cap/ cotton buds/body lotion in bathroom ( this is supposed to be a 4* hotel for travellers convenience) Extortinate charges for local London phone calls. We were charged a full daily rate for internet £9-99 so we could verify our booking to the desk staff.

Check in staff always answer the phones even she/he is handling check in customers and that often disrupted check in process. Sometimes it takes long time to finish telephone and check in customers have to wait. This is absolutely awful. Check in staff should not answer the phone while they are handling customers over the counter.

Clean and well organized and stayed because of location of Heathrow airport as we had 10 am flight.
Room was great - 2215 but walls are too thin - you can hear the conversation next door!! and A/C was clearly not working as it was like a greenhouse and incredibly uncomfortable.

excellent location near Heathrow, has car park, and good access to Underground
First non-smoking room we were given smelled of smoke, also one of the upper hallways absolutely reeked. Day 1 dinner: Bank Holiday buffet was overpriced. Canadian Club and lemonade cocktail from bar had zero alcohol and tasted like rosewater. Day 2 dinner (via Room Service): Canadian Club and lemonade cocktail had zero alcohol and tasted like very watery Coke. Battered fish reeked of garlic and there was no malt vinegar - no vinegar at all was included - a travesty! Weren't we in England??? There were napkin and utensils for only one person so we had to share a fork. Called Room Service but line busy, after a while we gave up. Desk removed one drink charge from final bill. Parking and Internet fees overpriced. Internet access cumbersome to set up, at least if you want to retain any security on your laptop.

" the hotel was really clean and the staff were friendly I was really upset by the phone call at 10m the night before a really early flight to check the booking we had made. This was queried when we booked in and cleared up or so I thought. It was really thoughtless to make a call to our room this late at night especially as the hotel must be used for people taking early morning flights quite often and the staff should be aware of this!" Decent Food & accomodation
my reservation had a request to charge my employer's credit card and the hotel refused to accept that request. The hotel should have got back to us before that if they couldnt accept our credit card payment request. Thank god i had my credit cards otherwise it would havebeen embarrsssing.

The on line booking system usually works well for me but this time there was no booking for me at the hotel. Not fun!

The one and only bad point I had about the stay was the icy attitude of the female recption staff. While booking in and out I felt that It was a bother to her with one woman making eye contact only once through the whole process.

"I booked a twin-bedded smoking room. At the reception desk I was offered a non-smoking room. The receptionist did not consult my booking form. I was then offered a smoking room. When I entered the room it was a double-bedded room and there was no ash-tray. I requested an ash-tray at reception but the staff seemed to be more interested in the business clients who arrived after me and it took 15 minutes to find me an ash-tray. I went to the bar with my wife for a snack and was photographed several times by a publicity photographer. When I told him that I did not agree to be photographed he replied Don't worry about it. The manager was called and apologised but seemed to be able to do nothing to ensure that my photograph would not appear in publicity for the hotel." (97455805)

"This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our stay in the UK and the poorest value for money. Generally the hotel was overpriced and pretentious, most of the staff spoke English poorly or not at all. Reception staff not responsive to requests to book a taxi. " (97051892)
Food in restaurant was excellent. Only adequate in the bar.
In the restaurant we tried to tell a waitress that a family had sat briefly at a neighbouring table and a child had pretended to drink from one of the glasses she could not or would not understand us and refused to change the dirty glass. Serving staff should have at least a working knowledge of the English language. Plug in bathroom sink did not work, would not hold water. Requested staff at reservation desk to order a taxi for us to arrive at 5am. We were waiting but taxi did not arrive and after 2 further requests a limo was ordered and arrived. Not impressed. Amenities in the bathroom inadequate and very limited.

Everything except what will follow down.......
Don't define it as bad.., maybe other requirements, such as.., Whay Pay TV..? Why Pay Internet access..? Mini Bar is good to have. Little amount of cofee.. No soap bars.. You didnt give me the choice on net to choose a Smoker or Non-smoker room. Why Tray charges for Room Service..? Suppose I want a Cup of Coffee..; I pay £2.50 for the coffee and £3.50 for the service... I find it unjustified..

Room was very clean, tidy and quiet. Room was very well designed and appointed.
Toilet tank leaked with constant dripping sound. TV remote difficult to negotiate even with the limited TV channel selection.

Great Location to T4, hotel was beautiful. The late bar dinner was really good. Gym was small but perfect for a preflight run and workout.
No HotelHoppa bus to Term4, I had to take a cab at 3 times the price. A contential breakfast option would be nice.

Hotel was mostly clean, tidy and well provisioned. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly.
Room was small. there appeared to be space and fittings for a fridge - BUT NO FRIDGE. Bathroom floor tiles were loose - the grout between (in front of the loo) was discoloured and when the adjacent tiles were trodden on a reddish brown liquid like dried blood appeared!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reception and Housekeeping did not answer the phone when i called to report the faults from the room phone!!!!

Very pleased with the room. It was clean, stylish and well presented and transport to and from the airport was very efficient and enjoyable. Hotel staff were helpful upon check-out in calling us a taxi immediately.
We booked our hotel accommodation online and received the following confirmation from the email address sp@holidayinnheathrow.co.uk: "Your Booking is Confirmed - Booking Reference: 107689258 Pin code: 6147". However, when we arrived at the hotel at 9:30pm, tired from our journey, we were told that there was no record of our reservation. The staff member at the check-in counter was cold and unfriendly. We were shocked and weren't sure what to do since we had the record of our successful booking on our Blackberry. We were also extremely concerned as we had an early flight to catch the next morning and the reason we'd chosen the Holiday Inn was so that we could have a few hours of decent sleep. We were told repeatedly that we weren’t showing up in the system and then were told that the booking was there, but it was for the previous evening. The staff member looked at us blankly in a manner similar to a certain customer-facing character from Little Britain (“The computer says no”). Eventually after consulting with a colleague, the staff member was able to rebook us in. We thought it was worth highlighting that we were treated in an unwelcoming and unprofessional manner and it left an unpleasant aftertaste.
