    "i booked 2 rooms, 1 was a twin and was of fair size and in a good location with a nice view over the grounds. the other room was as above small,noisy,no view at all. over all a good stay and would return to a better room(double)" (107854140)

    The hotel was very clean, the staff very good and the Restaurant was good.Pretty grounds to 1 side.lovely garden.

    "I liked the hotel and would stay again as it is well located for visiting relatives, but request another room. Also it wasn't clear on booking that the whole amount was not paid and a deposit only taken. This is in fact preferential but should be made more obvious.     Staff friendly, and concerned when I was lost. Gave excellent details of getting to site, breakfast excellent and friendly and quick. Receptionist had a lovely manner.

    Closed road so difficult to find but that is Guernsey!

    some of the staff were unfriendly, no room with garden view despite request/booking made 6 months beforehand, impolite staff telling us "you must sit here" (inner breakfast room) when we requested a table with garden view, in general we did not feel welcome at all

    Early bird menu is value for money.

    Some of the rooms are dark, could do with bigger windows. Internet is miss leading as it says you can check in at 12noon and check out at 11am, this needs to be changed.

    Very excellent hotel.I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.Hope to go back soon on pleasure visit this time.

    Very roomy, clean and the staff were very friendly.

    No lift, I have trouble walking but this did not detract from my stay.I will be returning shortly.

    "Staying at this hotel was a comfortable experience, the staff were very helpfull, the restaurant allthough not busy served a very nice meal on two occasions." (97538706)

    The room was clean, recently decorated, warm and the bed was very comfortable.

    The only issue was the lack of power to the water coming from the shower.A second set of clean towels for the second day would have been nice.

    Lovely hotel, very quiet, relaxing and peaceful. This was my first trip to the Channel Islands and traveilling as a lone female was a little apprehensive. The directions to the hotel from SPP were spot on and staff were extremley helpful in assisting me to locate a map.

    Staff were very polite and keen to assist.

    It was advertised as having free broadband. This only applied if you wanted to sit in the reception area. You could pay to have it in your bedroom, but it wasn't available in the room I was staying in so this was disappointing.

    A fairly comfortable room. We liked the separate lounge/kitchen. The staff in the restaurant were universally friendly and helpful.

    The hot water ran out when filling a bath! I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't provide as much hot water as you needed. The room needed updating and looked shabby in places - different taps on the bath, for example. Why do hotels nearly always provide Nescafe as the only free coffee, yet a variety of different tea bags?

    the staff were polite and very helpful,the rooms very clean and the facilities very good.

    the only thing that i can have a slight moan at were the showers,there wasnt enough pressure and the shower heads could do with descaling,apart from that i,my stay at the hotel was very enjoyable.

    The accommodation was pleasant, good location, and very clean

    The bed has to be the most uncomfortable bed that we have ever slept in. The wardrobe was also in a bad state of repair. Also the breakfasts on both days were served up cold.

    "Apart from the above comments about the room (and my friend had a more satisfactory one) we really enjoyed our stay at Le Friquet. The staff were v. friendly and efficient, the food was v. good and the grounds were attractive and well kept. We also thought it was v. good value." (3304129848)

    One window looked out over a field with horses. Large bed. Bathroom good size.

    My attic room was unbearably hot in spite of 2 windows, an ac unit, which didn't seem to do much, and an electric fan. Because of the sloping ceilings only a half hanging cupboard was provided which, as I am tall, would not even take skirts. Both mattress and pillows seemed a bit cheap. I found the plastic bath dangerous as they are so slippery and bouncy. A rail needs to be provided for getting in and out. Another time I would make sure I did not get an attic room.

    In-room tea making facilities provided a couple of biscuits on arrival but we were told that we could not have more during our stay, this seemed very penny-pinching and created a poor impression 70's decoration of bathroom - clean but very dated

    "A nice hotel for a short stay ,the staff were friendly and attentive.However the road passing the hotel was very busy and if the windows are open in nice weather expect to have difficulty sleeping due to traffic noise.The breakfast was always well presented with plenty of choice.We ate one dinner in the restaurant and found it to be of average quality.The grounds and the pool are beautiful and well kept complements to the gardener. There are plenty of parking spaces if you have a hire car.Beach towel hire is very useful as is the newspaper delivery service." (3304163966)

    "We were happy during the stay for the most part. We found it slightly irritating not to have a traffic free lane nearby to walk after dinner. The lack of a pavement was worrying sometimes. Other than that we were happy with the hotel, the pool was lovely." (3304436179)

    One side light did not work. No alternative light cover for the bed in the hot weather.

    "As a Guernsey expatriate, I knew of the hotel and the majority of the facilities available although I had never stayed there. The ambience (charm, relaxing and inviting) that I had noticed when dining at the hotel on previous occasions was there for the total resident experience. For late arrivals, on half board, advice on / or confirmation of dining facilities would be useful. Overall the hotel lives up to its rating and I would place at or very near the top of this rating."     Location of the hotel made for easy access to the rest of the Island. The hotel itself was well maintained and all the staff were genuinely interested in ensuring they made the guests welcome and enjoy their stay.

    There were no areas that created a sense of dislike.

    "As we arrived early and had to leave for a wedding, we could check in earlier. We got an early lunch, an extra iron, ... The room was nice and decorated with fresh flowers, the view over the garden. Breakfast was good too. Generally all fine, even if we could only enjoy it for a short night." (3304471147)

    "This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The hotel is a pretty building in the Guernsey countryside with a large and beautiful garden, and is well appointed and maintained in an unpretentious and unfussy style.
