    Bed too short and not much confortable Staff not much polite and not adequately prepared to give information on money exchange possibilities of the city (customers arrive on sunday also) or about difficulties of working with internet.

    "This is not a hotel with a loud bar, it's a hotel in the middle of a nightclub. If you are not of an age or predisposition to enjoy the late night revelry I can't recomend this hotel at all." (107854984)

    The reception staff were helpful.

    Rooms are in poor state and need upgrading, the bar/nightclub is incredibly loud

    A bit noisy cos of the front area pub n beer garden but a person in a mood to enjoy those facilities will really appreciate them all.

    "For 90 pounds a night it is a rip off and i am truly upset that anyone would pay this amt of money for a room they can not even have a solid night's sleep. please try to fix this as i am sure i am not the only one to have had this experience. in fact, i read this online at trip advisors by a few other people but i gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. i was wrong.     floor was dirty. the hallway door on the third floor was extremely loud. specifically, each time it opened, it made an extremely loud squeeking noise and i was unable to both fall asleep and then in the morning, sleep in.

    "A central location meant it was handy for Fringe venues. Pleasant reception staff and reasonable room facilities. Let down by the rowdy entrance through the Three Sisters courtyard and inefficient and rude restaurant staff at the Three Sisters." (107292934)

    Not too expensive and near the centre of Town - good for Fringe venues. Reception staff helpful.

    The TV was broken (for all rooms) and I was not informed until I querried it. The Three Sisters courtyard is noisy and crossing to the hotel entrance is a little intimidating late at night. The worst thing by far was the attitude of the Three Sisters restaurant staff - I ordered a dinner and had to cancel because a salad could not be provided in less than an hour at 5pm! I ordered a breakfast, paid then waited 10mins before being told breakfast was 'off' so I had to get a refund. The female senior staff member was unhelpful, curt and rude on both these occasions. I would never again attempt to order food there and it let the hotel down.

    Wallpaper torn from wall, trouser press dirty, TV broke down first night not repaired during rest of stay,cream for coffee solid, heating did not work properly

    Hotel staff were very helpful. I mentioned the possibility of attending a concert in the area and the lady on reception went as far as to check train times, ticket availability etc on the internet for me and called me immediately in my room with the information.

    "This place is definitly for the young and it caters for them very well. The bar, the music and all that goes with it will give a great clubbing experience. If you're not into this and are the sort that likes to be awake and alert during the day, then this place is not for you." (97304328)

    The location is fantastic. You are within walking distance of everything. The room is reasonable and clean, and the staff friendly.

    It is by a mile the noisiest place I've ever stayed and I'm including Ibiza. If you're the sort that parties till the early hours then this place is for you. If however, you like sleeping at all, forget it.

    The hotel was very central, staff were very friendly and rooms were clean

    Did not like had the same access as getting into bar especailly with the Scottish match on it was quite dangerous to come in through the courtyard.

I would like to know that my room was just above the entrance of a pub, then I could manage to avoid this room (or the hotel) before going to Edinburgh.     Location, the hotel is very well located. Hospitality, the staff are really friendly and nice.

    Too noise (maybe we were unlike for the room location), either the previous guest or the people close to the room are smokers, then the room stinks cigarette.

    "As a young couple the bar attached to the hotel was one of the main selling points although I wouldn't advise anyone who wants an early night to stay here as the music is quite audible from the rooms. Found that it was great value for money compared to other hotels in the area, the rooms are basic but fed our purpose and the breakfast is good value too. Was slightly dissapionted with the residents after hours bar, selection was limited although they were reasonably priced. Overall it was a good stay, the second time for us and would definately book back in the next time we are there." (97758668)

    Great place for us as we were just looking fo a bed for the night. Location is excellent and the bar attached to the hotel was a strong selling point. Breakfast buffet idea is great and is included in the price which was an added bonus

    Rooms are pretty basic and we found it hard to heat in the evening so ended up having to leave the heater on all the time.

    "I didnt really have any expectations of this hotel, as it was booked very last minute and the stay was simply brilliant, right smack in the centre of Edinburgh which was exactly what i needed." (99823196)

    The fact that it was next to the 3 sisters pub, I arrived on the day they had their pre-mtv party. Excellent first impression. And the music didnt really bother during the night.

    How the breakfast-room was in the club and it just stank of old alcohol.

    The room was clean and quite spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and available for a two-hour period. Overall, the stay was good value for money.

    There was some noise from the band in the Three Sisters next door. Curtains in the room did not work properly.

    Friendly, helpfull staff, excellent location.

    Very unclean, poor untidy breakfast facilities with cold food & coffee. Lots of sick outside not cleaned up for 24 hours. Lifts and corridoors smelt smokey. Room very cramped

    "Anyone who doesn't like noisy pubs shouldn't stay at Tailor's Hall as you're above the biggest pub courtyard in Edinburgh, opening onto the biggest party street. I woke at 4am to hear the shouting was still going on. And this was a Sunday night. Other days will be worse. (Doesn't bother me but will ruin the stay for some). The TV choice is abysmal. Just 4 channels? Even my Gran gets more than that for free! Then you have to pay " (99631310)

    "I would certainly recommend the hotel and stay again because the location is perfect right slap bang in the middle of Edinburgh within walking distance of the Castle, Princes Street, all the bars etc, Mary Kings Close experience. BUT very very very important - either stay up drinking until 2-3am or you MUST ask for a quiet room - even then if you don't sleep easily you won't. There are lots of barrels being clanged late at night and this is THE busiest pub/club in Edinburgh at night so there are hundreds of people right outside your room until 3am. The first night we were near the courtyard and it was a nightmare because we were tired after a 5 hour trek to get to Edinburgh and couldn't get any sleep until 4am not good especially when you've planned to be on a tour the following morning at 9:50am. But we asked if we could move rooms and the staff were very helpful and the second night was much much better, although we decided to get a bit drunk in the bar/club and that probably helped too LOL ;-)) We will go again but only if we have a guaranteed quiet room."     "Location and value for money was great. If I return to Edinburgh I would defo go back. I would request room 401 though as its on the top floor and is quite quiet. Some of the other room I rekon would be quite noisy, although it does state that when you book." (99636293)

    Our room (401) was huge, with flat screen tv bottled water and fridge. Its one of the best we have stayed at. Breakfast was great

    Location, plus there's a bit of life about the place. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff

    Tv was unwatchable due to signal. Also, shower head was broken causing water to spray everywhere when turned on.
