    Staff on reception were very helpful

    Carvery was not high standard at 830pm when we ate. The food looked and tasted like it had been there for a long time.

    Friendly service at the bar. Hotel manager dealt with complaints quickly and to our satisfaction.

    Rude and badly trained reception staff. Housekeeping and maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. It took three attempts to be given an acceptable room with fully fuctioning facilities. Housekeeping standards poor with dirty surfaces and badly made beds.

    Ease of booking, good recetion staff.

    Room in poor state of cleanliness. Restaurant choice poor, food only adequate, understaffed. Breakfast very expensive and poor quality

    Absolutely first class in all respects with one exception detailed below.

    The breakfast was not good value at all. The eggs were swimming in grease and the toaster machine was either "just slightly done or burnt when putting the bread through a second time. The rest of the items were only luke warm.

    Room was filthy, staff incredibly unhelpful. Bar didn't open as staff didn't turn up. Sick in one of the corridors, blood stains on a door !

    Upgraded room generally pleased with, especially bathroom very clean and tidy. Happy hour in bar. Leisure facilities quite good.

    Bed uncomfortable had to ask for mattress change due to springs pushing through.Only 6 Television channels and no remote expected at least the 'freeview' channels. Slow check in and out due to only 1 person at reception. Poor selection of bar snacks. A bit noisy at night with coaches coming and going and people slamming doors all through the night. Keycard only worked on a daily basis and had to keep going to reception to activate card, annoying.

    "I would definitey recommend this hotel. It was faultless, even more so when considering how little it cost." (107462937)

    The service was fantastic. All my needs wetre 100% catered for and nothing was too much trouble. When I asked to change rooms because ours was directly above a wedding party, the staff went out of their way to help us. They were brilliant.

    closes enough to old trafford to pay for a taxi

    had a cold shower in the morning room 8 only one bar man on, had to wait quite a while to get drinks,but when i got back from football there were two on which was a lot better.

    I booked online and arrived at the hotel where there was no note of my reservation. The room was stinking of smoke, we could feel every spring in the bed and the pillows were paper thin. The tv had no power button we had to put our fingers in the hole to put it on!

    room was very nice clean and plenty of room

    There was 1 gentleman booking in a young couple, and 2 other people were behind the desk both made eye contact with us but ignored us. another gentleman came out of the office and made eye contact with us smiled and came towards us..... the was asked a question by another member of staff who were just talking... so he turned and spoke to them.... we didnt complain as wasnt worth it for a overnight stay... but we were disapointed.

    d to be moved to another room as our bath was leaking and the mattresses were just a s bad in the 2nd room. Quite noisy - loud music.

    Friendly, efficient, value for money (including food), good location.

    The room needed a spring clean - washing the curtains and bedspread, etc. The access road to the car park could be indicated at the other entrance to the hotel.

    "reservation number I got when booking online not recognized when checking in, had to register as a 'walk-in' and hope that I wasn't going to be charged as a no-show for the reservation I made with my credit card as a guarantee, the staff didn't make much of an effort to try and find my reservation and still got my name wrong when I registered (it's only 5 letters long)" (97856388)

    "It served our purpose but the hotel was not memorable and i was very unhappy by the way we were spoken to by the man at reception" (97606243)

    The room was adequate for what we wanted and the bathroom was nice and clean

    Staff - the man who checked us in was very rude which was not a good start and the window was wide open and the room was very cold

    Me and a friend wanted to catch up for a night in Manchester - it was a convenient location at a reasonable price.

    The room was like an oven and the walls were paper thin so you could hear everything.

    The oerall look of the hotel, as well as facillities such as the pool and gym

    "Pleasant. Nice location. Friendly and efficient staff. Good restaurant, but it would have been nice to be able to charge meals to my room so as to not have to carry cash around in the hotel, and pay for the meals on checkout,(like most other hotels I have stayed at)." (97153802)

    THe facilities were good/ the food, especially the pizza meal was excellent. The Gym was good although the rowers need some maintainence.

    The cleanliness of the room was questionable. There was asoft sweet left on the carpet, the sink wasn't draining properly and the jets in the bath were looking grimy. The bed was also uncomfortable (lumpy)particularly for my wife.

    Would it be possible to replace the energy efficient light bulbs with the warm variety. The ones in the lamps are the daylight kind and so harsh. The standard lamp bulb needed to be replaced and a couple of the lamp shades were broken inside.

    It was quiet, and the leisure facilities were very good

    Staff were not really very efficient at the reception desk. There was not enough staff to deal with the numbers of people who were asking for information/booking in/out. Telephones were not working in the bedrooms

    the hotel was very dated, dirty and in need of a re furb. the bathroom was horrible i felt really dirty and i did not like using it.
