    unlimited well-cooked breakfast.ample parking,good bus services in Edinburgh- very much appreciated as driving through the city was a nightmare due to road works

    wet room very small with no provision for mopping up after using shower in spite of double bed ,room only big enough for one person

    The price of the hotel.

    Dirty room, glas at the bath from the visiters before me, with dirty water in. Noisy everytime someone opened a door.

    overall the room was very good, the staff were excellent and the food was excellent

    Carpet in the room was badly stained- did not give a good impression, there were no tea spoons with the tea making facilities and very little sugar only enough for two drinks in a double room

    Clean, smooth running, pleasant.

    The ratio of milk to tea and coffee in rooms was poor - had to go out and buy some more milk and I really look forward to a nice cup of tea. Car parking difficult Breakfast a bit of a free for all as so many people there.

    First rate accommodation - real value for money.

    Building work was a little noisy in the morning and created difficulties locating my room. Needs better project management - a few signs would have helped.

    Very efficient staff! Everything was very clean and well presented. Good location for a hotel, the area is quiet and has pretty views over Edinburgh. Easy to find the centre of the city from there.

    easy access to town, good size room, clean and friendly!

    did not experience any, except one of my friends said was very noisey in the morning with people going for breakfast! we did point out to her that erm of course what do you expect a quiet time so you can lie in lol

    The room was clean and the breakfast was good.

    I thought that, when I booked on-line, I had paid at the time as it asked for my bank card details. Why ask for the details if you have to pay when you check in. Would it not be better to simply debit the credit card at the time of booking?

    "The combination of the accommodation (Pollock Hall), with Arthur's Seat right behind, made a really enjoyable place to stay in Edinburgh - far from the madding crowd, but not that far." (108779741)

    Very friendly and helpful staff - especially the porter, and the man at security, who took my parking problem seriously even though parking was hugely oversubscribed, and found me a parking space. That one act made a huge difference to the quality of my stay. And the breakfasts were brilliant - really good quality for such a mass event (I stayed over the weekend of the gathering of the clans). Proper coffee!

    "A very large group of noisy Spanish teenagers (at least 50) hanging out in the quad two out of three nights until past 11:00 made it impossible to keep out windows open, so we were really uncomfortable. Thankfully one night it was raining so they stayed inside! So much for quiet time. " (107563028)

    Was surprised how much was charged for the room. We could have/should have booked a hotel room in the city to save money.

    quite happy with everything, Loved the breakfast buffet it had an excelent choice! there was a bar and restaurant facility on the grounds; bedrooms very clean and confy beds! i liked the coffee making facility in the room! lovely well kept gardens and relaxing enviroment. will definately use it again!
