  "The staff could not have been more kind and helpful especially as my husband became ill on the morning after the fated meal! Was there a link with the re-heated steak and ale pudding? I hope not- but- it raised a doubt I'm afraid. " (108402617)

  Very helpful pleasant staff,rooms spotlessly clean and bed warm and comfortable. Excellent breakfast

  Evening meal well below standard-food left standing too long and as a result had dried up. Staff did their best in the circumstances and were very apologetic. We did not complain as we felt sorry for the manager who was getting non stop grief and who had to leave his dining room duties in order to fix the heating in our room! Surely there should be a better system in place so that this needn't have happened. Nevertheless it has to be said that the meal was VERY poor value indeed and we did not dine there on the other two nights of our stay.
