Mix up over room booking on arrival Noisey plant immediately outside of room during the night. Poor bathroom decor and shower performance

Good breakfast menu. Staff very helpful and with no fuss.
Water could be hotter - but I'm a late riser. Wireless internet a bit of a struggle.

"After intial teething problems and my partner getting over the shock of the disgusting room we were directed to on arrival, we had a very enjoyable stay. We live in Saddleworth and often use the J.W. Lees hotel there, it is in a different league than the Anglesey Arms. Staff were friendly and fairly efficient." (108226850)
The manager addressed our room concerns (see bad points) and allocated us a room which we were very pleased with. It was large, bright and airy. How could he think that anyone would pay the same price for our original allocated room (no 11) when room 3 where we found ourselves was of a completely different order......maybe there are mugs out there who are taken advantage of.
On arrival we were directed to the smallest, grottiest room we have ever had the misfortune to be allocated. We originally thought it was for the exclusive use of our dog! His kennels provide superior accn and we realised that there must have been an error. Room no 11 should never be used by paying guests, and if anyone was to accept it they should be paid for their stay.
