  "Due to the weakness of the £-Sterling, this was a little overpriced. With a more reasonable exchange rate, it would be good value for accomodation and food. Worth another chance with a visit in the summer." (108249596)

  Nice location which should be great in the summer; food reasonably priced with friendly staff.

  Bathroom was a little small; central heating appeared not to be working - which would have been a problem if the weather had been colder; sat nav took us on a tractor track which ended at a very narrow river bridge next to the hotel!

  "Really great place & extremely friendly staff. It is very refreshing to attempt my faultering French and not receive perfect English in response! I arrived without a hairdryer and after a little bit of miming, the chef produced one I could borrow from his own house. The food is fabulous although, be prepared to pay for it - starters can cost up to 16 euros. Worth it though. " (108153385)

  Very friendly staff who, although do not speak very good english, will go to great pains to accomodate your every wish. Lovely food.

  Rooms are a little basic (although great for the price) and the bathroom had no shower, only a bath with attachment. We have stayed in the autumn and the room had no heating.

  "A great place to relax. As mentioned above we couldn't find the hotel. The owner drove out to Clerques to find us. That really is going the extra mile for your clients! We'll certainly use it again either on our way to other parts of France, or on the way home because we live five hours from Folkestone. " (108619182)

  A quiet tastefully converted mill in the middle of nowhere, yet only half an hour from the channel tunnel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth having the evening meal. Small menu perfectly prepared and a reasonably priced wine list.

  The map provided by Active Hotels, August 09, located the hotel in Clerques, when in fact it is in Audenfort several kilometres away. Hopefully the map will be changed by the time you read this.

  The location was superb, and the room was very comfortable and a great view. Right on a brilliant cycle route! There was even storage for our bikes as well as car parking.

  "We enjoyed our stay at the Auberge Du Moulin D'Audenfort a lot. we intend to stay there again next time we have a short break in the north of France. " (108669563)

  The food was excellent, and the satff very friendly and helpful

  The hotel was not easy to find. Some directions would have been very useful.

  "Very relaxing, about 17miles from Boulogne which took me about 30 mins on a Monday morning. I didn't pay for breakfast and had a pastry and coffee at the supermarket. The evening menu was extensivce and restaurant well used by locals. A peaceful alternative to the low budget hotels AND free Wi-Fi. " (108692929)

  No TV may concern some On arrival I was concerned about a loud group of elderly diners in the garden. Part of the hotel are rooms in a long single story outbuilding which borders the garden that is used for outside seating for the restaurant. In my case the party left early but I could see it may be a problem on a busy evening.

  "A real find. Years of Accor and budget hotels on the last night of holidays made us appreciate this experience all the more. We intend to return with friends soon. Very pleasing to have a "vegetarian" menu, although the french have a very loose interpretation of what constitutes vegetarian - fish?" (108249302)

  Delightful setting. Execllent, friendly staff. Very good food. Very good value. We will definitely stay again, but for longer.

  Fast check in very polite and efficent. excellent food and brilliant waiting staff

  some rooms above restraunt can be noisy if people still using and again in the morning drinks are quite expensive but this seems the norm in france.
