    "It worked out well, after we moved to a room which had been refurbished." (108523473)

    After complaining about our room, we were assigned to a room which was clean and everything was working (as one should expect).

    We were assigned to a room which had not been refurbished and it was in a poor state of repair.

    Hotel très agréable, d'un style bien caractéristique, très "cosy". Personnel très aimable.

    After I contacted the reception regarding the issues below, I was moved to a newly refurbished room was decorated to a high standard and had no further issues. The food was good quality and I enjoyed my stay.

    Original room was in need of renovation with peeling paint on the ceiling and stains on the wall and the TV didn't work.

    Comfortable beds, friendly staff, good food.

    We had the room next to reception and it was a little noisy between 10pm and 11pm. Not to bad though. The prices had been put up because of the Hampton court flower show or the Rugby match.

    Room excellent, breakfast good, staff good, parking good.

    The bar was unavailable because of building work and there was a reduced evening menu. We got the room at a reduced rate because of last-minute booking; if we had paid the full rate we would have been disappointed with the reduced facilities.

    The Hotel had the builder in, I was unable to work in my room due to the noise. The toilet has a fan that is constantly running, I was unable to sleep with the constant droning of the fan. I complained to the receptionist the next day, only to get fobbed off with an excuse that it was due to the builders and they were trying to fix it. The shower head/pipe was broken, when turned on I got sprayed with water. I did complain to staff about noise In addition I was unable to connect to hotels internet, I tried two different laptops, I was also unable to connect to the 02 broadband at the site

    The room/suite we stayed in was lovely. I was very suprised to find two flat screen televisions too! The Rooms were very clean and the temperature control on the room was very good. The selection of Twinings tea was very welcome too.

    The only negative point I would mention would be that the towels in the bathroom were rather scratchy to the touch.

    "We come to Twickenham regularly for the Rugby and have always stayed in Richmond. This was our first time in Twickenham and it was fantastic. We are coming back in May so will use your hotel again." (97070620)

    My husband and i thought the staff were friendly, The rooms were spotless, breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Particularly liked the way the bar staff approached each table individually at the end of the evening, asking did we want drinks and we could take them to the room.

    "Would not stay here again., Poor quality rooms in need of refurbishment and not cheap. Inadequate supervision of hotel in nighttime that allows guests to be disturbed. Dingy reception area. This hotel should be called the Popes GROTTY not grotto" (108002469)

    Good ambience in public bar but very bare board. If you dont care much about quality for a hundred pounds this hotel is better than a hostel

    Being woken at 3am by room service in error. All night party in adjoining guest rooms fuelled by room service (ends at 5.30) involves 8 people on a thursday night. CUT SHORT HOTEL STAY BECAUSE OF THIS .Food quality poor really a upmarket cafe menu not a restaraunt. Brewery style pub hotel. Not my idea of a 3 star. stains on room carpet.Bed the worst i have ever slept in , the whole place was downbeat and needs upgrading or the price needs lowering

    Air conditioning left on, on a cool day but easily remedied with some heat from the same appliance.

    The room was clean, tidy and comfortable.

    The corridors looked in need of redecoration and looked tired, with ripped wallpaper in places which detracted from the overall view
