    Management tried very hard to be of service: not very well supported by oithers and state of equipment

    Intermittant heating in room. Television not working on first day, sp[asmodic on second. Waited ages for Breakfast service on first day.

    Very nice staff and easy the whole process of booking and checking in is very straightforward.

    Parts of the hotel are a little run down and some repairs are obviously overdue. Nothing major to complain about though.

    The check in was good and the staff were friendly. Due to a local commitment we had to leave before breakfast was being served the following morning, and we were kindly offered a £10 discount for this as breakfast had been included in the room price. This was very fair and unexpected.

    The room was tired with tatty decoration (patches of wallpaper missing)and not particularly clean (window sills behind the double glazing were grubby), but the bathroom had been recently refurbished, so was fine. The light bulb was missing from the desk lamp and the bedside lights were worrying wobbly.

    lovely high standard room & bathroom. good breakfast cooked to order.

    not for those wishing for a quiet relaxing place as this is a lively noisey hotel with disco till midnight+.

    Clean & comfortable room. Food excellent. Staff polite and pleasant

    Were not told in advance that we would have to climb 40 steps to our room, being elderly this was very tiring especially when carrying luggage on arrival.

    First Class Staff,Nice Room,Food Exelent,Good Rail Linkes.

    Some of the decor is poor in particular the corridor leading to the bedrooms the plaster is falling off the walles,the rads are leaking and all the paint is flaking off them.

    inexpensive, off road parking, many resteraunts and cafes within 3 minutes walk. Draught Leffe in the bar

    did not have booklet to explain how to use the tv remote control, [I am a luddite]

    We were pleased to found "you" - it is our sort of 'place'

    We did have to wait a bit too long for our food in the restaurant - which made us later for bed than we would otherwise have wished

    "We had the best nights sleep in two weeks of travelling, so everything else really didn't matter. It was a really lovely hotel, and we enjoyed our stay and the town which we walked around a little, the hotel is close to the station and a small supermarket, and the directions given were easy to follow."     A very comfortable room, the shower worked very well, the shampoo and supplies were generous, there was a hairdryer to use. Check-in was fairly easy and we were able to get an everning meal in the pub, which was quite good. We got the best nights sleep for our whole vacation and the curtains kept out all the light.

    We were not given a reciept at check-in and had to ask for it the next morning, also it would have been nice to be told where breakfast would be held when we checked in. The room needed redecorating, with dark stains on the wall paper from the heater, also there was mould on the bath surround and the vent in the bathroom was full of dust, not big deals but seemed to show a lack of attention to the details. There were no face cloths provided.

    Hotel was fine if a littkle cold in restaurant and bedroom. Food was good but service a little slow.

    As with most hotels, the shower was useless. The shower curtain had dried mould on it. There was very little water pressure.

    The location was super. A great place to stay when visiting the locality as well as convenient for the train to London. Radlett has a great range of shops and restaurants.

    The state of the decoration was poor in public halls and stairways and the lights in half of our room did not work.

    Central to Radlett with very good bar and restaurant facilities

    Everything was very shabby and the building was in need of structural work to eradicate the damp and peeling plaster etc.

    "I could not fault this hotel. The room was clean and spacious with every facility provided. First class full English breakfast was included in the price. The staff were always polite and helpful. Pub bar sold quality beer. The hotel has character, as does Radlett town centre. All this within easy reach of London. Fantastic value." (99122071)

    Pleasant compact room with good working equipment. Helpfull friendly staff.

    Being a non smoker I found the smell of tobacco in the bar area unpleasant

    No smoking area in bar too small and was rather smoky in evening. toliet roll holder and towel rail in room were coming off the wall!!!

    "Given that the hotal is part of a pub, the rooms were quiet and we were not disturbed by noise from the bar areas. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. A good hotel for an overnight stay for leisure purposes. I wouldn't recommend the hotel for corporate travellers on the basis of the room I stayed in as it had no facilities for working."
