    Comfortable clean tidy room. Good powerful shower.

    The heating/air conditioning system never seems to work well at this hotel.

    Clean, tidy, quiet

    Advertised as breakfast included but breakfast was not included on confirmation slip or when checking in. Therefore price was a bit expensive and i was not happy to have to pay for breakfast.

    Car Park on site and NCP is located next door. Staff very helpful, and a very friendly atmosphere. A safe is located in the room and free internet access via TV multi-media or WiFi is provided. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

    Not easy to find by car. Continental choice at breakfast was disappointing at £10 per person. Big bed in the room although comfortable meant that there's not a space for a lot of luggage. The keyboard cable of the multi-media centre was short and restricted where it could sit on the desk. The chairs were not high enough to allow comfortable access to the desk surface when seated.

    Modern hotel with good facilities. Free internet access/DVD/CD via apple imac. Good location for shopping and evening out around Brindley Place.

    No breakfast unless you pay silly money. Not even complimentary continental breakfast unless you pay.

    Clean, well appointed, good central location. Attractive contemporary feel without being too outlandish. A good experience at the Bristol City Inn led me to choose this one.

    Staff could be a little more friendly. No explanation at check-in about mini-bar security key or DVD / TV facility

    Nice room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable with adequate space. Staff very helpful and friendly. In a really good location.

    Thre only bad points were there was some noise from the corridors during the night from other guests and housekeeping arriving unannounced even though we had only booked in an hour earlier! Not sure why this was.

    Excellent modern hotel. Everything was new looking and to a high standard. The mini bar was fully stocked, there was everything we needed and it all worked well. We had a very pleasant nights stay with absolutely no problems. It was definitely value for money!

    The only minor problem was that the bathroom door didn't latch properly.

    "Finally got to the hotel in a bad mood, having been diverted halfway round Brimingham centre because of the tory party conference. Looking fro parking - a memeber of staff (a concierge I guess) outside the hotel directed me to the convenient multistorey next door. The hotel has its own parking but it fills up quickly and in any case they give you a discount on the multistorey so it's the same price (" (107379191)

    This was an excellent hotel. It's nearness to airport, train station, shopping area, bullring, hippodrome, symphony hall etc was excellent. A quiet hotel in a nice location, yet within walking distance of everything, especially some really trendy bars and restaurants. Superb hotel. Will definitely be back to stay for another weekend.

    The hotel had a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere without losing any sense of efficiency. The rooms were excellent (better than a recent 5 star hotel overseas!)The location was good and staff were very welcoming and friendly, any requests were quickly and easily dealt with. We were all very pleased with the stay and would certainly recommend it.

    The only issue we had was my being charged an additional incorrect amount on my credit card bill on check out. My friends' costs were added to my card even though they had already paid. This was human error and the member of staff did apologise.

    "The upgrade to the hotel is excellent and certainly good value for money. It is an great spot in central Birmingham." (108082291)

    After problems booking in the operations manager dealt with the situation immediately and smoothed our path for the rest of the stay including free drinks in the bar. Any body can make a mistake, it is how it is dealt with afterwards that matters and top marks to the City Inn on this occasion. already re-booked for next year.

    The hotel had double booked our room and initially wanted us to go elsewhere at 9 o'clock at night. Fortunately the operations manager found rooms and proceeded to make our stay the perfect one by plain excellent customer service.

    Exceptional standards of cleanlinessa dn great thought put into equipping guest rooms, lighting, bathroom, ironing board tucked away adn accessible for use, i-mac, DVDs for rent etc and welcome break and step up from 'standard-business' travel

    Well situated near good bars and restaurants in the Brindley Place canal area. And surprise surprise, the room had an awesome iMac computer - just what we needed for a bit of photo-uploading to Facebook and skyping family back home Down Under.

    The hotel was right in the centre, but far enough away so it wasn't noisy. The hotel was very clean, chic and modern. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food, room etc was fantastic. A lovely hotel.

    The only thing i would have changed would have been to add a television to the room.

    Room was very clean and comfortable, had everything you could need when away from home.

    Found the bathroom was a little small and compact
