    Nice and clean hotel - easy to find

    Staff were quite rude and the reservation wasn't in the system even though I booked a week beforehand. Not great service at all.

    Straightforward booking and check-in. Easy to find, and close to the wedding we were attending.

    Some confusion in that booking stated 'twin bed room' although I selected a double. In the end, the room we had (314) was a double, so no problem. The option of a cooked breakfast would have been nice.

    Found Post Code quoted in booking documentation was about 5 miles from the actual address using Satnav, which wasted nearly an hour.

    The rooms were clean and good value for money. The staff were friendly

    The breakfast tables were not cleared so on both mornings we sat at a table with someone elses dishes left. The reception staff booked a taxi for us to travel to the wedding at Packington Moor. The journey was 10 minutes at the most and we were charged £12. Another couple at the wedding who were staying at the same hotel booked their own taxi using a different company and they paid £7!! I was disappointed that the staff used the most expensive taxi company. They could have reccommended a couple for us and I would have been very happy to call for prices.

    We were given a discount on the room the next morning by someone who looked like they couldn't have cared less.

    Not very helpful on the afternoon when we arrived and were given the key to our room and someone was already in there! Would not let us check in 1 hour early forcing us to leave the wedding part way through to check in at 3pm. Then when we returned to our room at Midnight after the wedding they said the reason why we had been given the wrong room was because we checked in in the early hours (like it was our fault) when we had actually checked in at 3 in the afternoon because we had been forced to. We were left with a smoking room as it was the only one left in the hotel. The room smelled so bad I nearly threw up and we had to sleep with the window open all night so it was freezing. We had booked 2 months in advance so found the whole thing ridiculous.

    Hotel clean, car parking free and close to hotel.

    On checking in, the receptionists were not able to identify who was next in line to be checked in. This lead to people trying to check in out of line. Maybe they should be trained to be more observant of who is arriving or to question more loudly who is next rather than just serve the person who has managed to stand right in front of them. A more controlled check in process is required.

    I stay a lot in hotels but this was the best experience rooms were very nice and breakfast and was definitely value for money ........a bit warm welcome at the recepetion is needed....

    The shower was very good for someone of 6ft 4ins and 19 st. The room gave the impression of being bigger than it was.

    Responsive staff. I was impressed with the quick way they dealt with our resquest for a room relocation due to very noisy neighbouring guests.

    No restaurant. As mature guests we were disappointed that we could only get McDonalds or Indian takeaway food.

    Overall the stay was a pleasent one

    Only problem was the main road if you open the window for fresh air then you hear the traffic, might be nice to find out if guests are light or heavy sleepers, light sleepers to the far side of the hotel. Apart from that the hotel was good.

    Clean and comfortable room. Courteous staff. Ample parking. McDonald's right next door. Plenty of take away menus available at reception. Nice breakfast.

    We booked online the day before our stay. When we got to the hotel, the receptionist was unable to pull up our reservation, saying that they never received the reservation from active hotels. Fortunately, We had our online cofirmation printed out to show that we had a booking and as there were rooms available we were able to check in without any further issues.
