    Bar staff and food at night excellent

    Bedroom:Decor tired ,toilet seat vynal peeling sharp.lack of complimentery beverages in room,stained bed throw,cracked tile in bathroom floor, Breakfast staff not friendly or seen much,long wait for cooked breakfast cold when arrived,porridge ordered not received, .no milk available ,no fresh fruit

    Room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Staff were friendly and generally helpful. Spa and pool facilities were good.

    Although staff were enthusiastic they did tend to be easily distracted, the reception desk was unmanned when we checked in which was disconcerting. The pool shower area was being cleaned while we were in there so we were unable to use it, the workmen were walking from outside straight into the pool area without wearing overshoes, and leaving the outside door propped open... Chilly!

    Lovely big room, nice breakfast handy location for Bury St Edmunds. Had the added bonus of a balocony which overlooked the golf course.

    Found that you could here people in the other rooms, to the extent that I thought it was my mobile ringing when it was the room above. Staff in the bar seemed more interested in chatting to each other and taking pictures on their mobiles than keeping an eye on service.Yet another hotel where the TV chanels not as described and not helped by the fact the remote did work the TV properly.

    Room comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and breakfast excellent.

    Reception area closed and had to use Spa reception area as mid-afternoon. Rooms looking a little tired - could do with some re-furbishment.

    Staff that were on duty were very willing!

    Arrived 11pm - No reception or sign to indicate who to call / contact. Insufficient staff at Breakfast, female supervisor was poor. At one point raising her voice to staff in the restaurant.

    Was for my friends wedding and everything was perfect!

    The area where the marriage took place was slightly dark so it was hard to get good pics.

    "Apart from breakfast Ok, but would question whether I would stay again because of service and attitude on breakfast. I don't need to get annoyed on a leisure weekend away. Also, what if I had needed other service from the hotel, what response would I have got?" (107541475)

    Room nice and very spacious. Lovely outlook onto the golf course.

    Breakfast service was awful on first morning - Sunday. Had to ask for plates and bowls, then teaspoons. Ran out of sausages and bacon, were told they would be ready in a few minutes. Eventually brought a small amount out 20 mins later by which time there were no eggs. Then ran out of sausages again. Staff did not seem to care about service at all. Gave a very bad impression of the hotel and all guests were getting worked up. Monday morning's breakfast was like walking into a different restaurant, plenty of food and crockery available and good service.

    Leisure facilities excellent, huge gym, great 17m pool, sauan etc Bar food decent and restaurant staff were excellent.

    Breakfast OK, but a limited spread. Receptionist a little impersonal.

    conveniently located

    shabby private and communal areas, broken sanitaryware, phone not working, staff unable to rectify above points, absent and then rude bar staff - half hour wait for one diet coke, unable to use leisure facilities with child unless at specific times, no breakfast menu in room, rooms located too near wedding party going on into the small hours.

    "I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. It was very handy that we were able to check in earlier as we had had a long journey to the wedding and it was nice to shower after the journey and get ready at the hotel. " (97518883)

    Room was nice and spacious. Bed was nice and large. Was handy having an iron and ironing board. Nice to have the balcony with table and chairs (but they needed a bit of a clean).

    Bath needed de-scaling- bad limescale marks from dripping tap. Maybe a few more toiletries, there wasn't enough for both of us, (lucky I brought some myself!). Only just enough toilet paper provided. The Norfolk room had a fridge but we didn't.

    Spa, gym, pool, sauna, steam etc were all quiet and easily accessable. Spa (not officially opened at that point) was fantastic - staff and facility. Angela and her colleague could not do enough for us and were very accomodating. Geoff (Manager) was absolutely amazing - he was everywhere keeping an eye on things. We did complain about the food on the first night and he refunded without hesitation with apologies. He was very helpful about local area too.

    Was not overally impressed with food aspect. The restaraunt was very nice but the staff and standard of food let it down badly. Very simple, basic food. However the buffet breakfast was fresh and more than adequate.

    "Breakfast should have been fully available at it's stated start time of 07:00, on the three mornings I attended breakfast this status was achieved at 07:25, 07:20 and 07:15. This meant that guests were waiting for their breakfast, people with appointments do not have this amount of time to lose in the morning. The TV in my first room was very obviously faulty. Hotel staff moved me to an alternative room without any problem. This type of problem should be detected when the rooms are prepared. This is the second hotel in this area that I have stayed at recently and overall the staff do not show a professional manner when compared to other parts of the country." (97119464)

    The hotel could do with a revamp of it's Paintwork, Carpets and Fittings.

    "This is not a hotel but a Golf facility willing to rip off guests at any opportunity. Service is rude and inefficient. The Hotel has great potential but must break the golf clubhouse attitude. I will never stay here again." (97887398)

    Room was clean

    The hotel is only a cash cow on the same site as golf and leisure facilities. Service was the worst I have encountered in any hotel. Noise, behaviour of other residents, total lack of service - dinner took over two hours, drinks did not arrive, orders were incorrect. Newspaper was not delivered on either day. Light bulbs did not work and were not changed. Staff not interested in Hotel only the Golf and Leisure Club.

    Nice sized room with excellent views over golf course. Very comfortable bed with good linen.

    Slightly cool and the bathroom looked a little 'tired'. The furniture was a little basic

    Very Large clean room, great view, nice bar area and wonderful breakfast!

    Noise in the night evey a tap being put on sounded loud through the walls. Poor noise insulation and plumbing.

    The view was very nice overlooking the golfcourse and the use of the sport & leisure facilities was really enjoyable.The room was very comfortable.

    The breakfast on the sunday morning was cold & we had to keep asking for everything like an egg,or toast or bacon as there was not any on the table that was set up.There was also no tea or coffee so we had to ask for some to be provided. This all took quite a while and was a little embarrassing too.

    Comfortable bed, good room size, good desk area, serviceable ironing board and iron, pleasant staff

    Bathroom scruffy with poor quality fittings. Shower very hit or miss. Only half TV channels functioning. Breakfast not overly appetising....grapefruit was 'off'.

    A good size room with a suberb view, well furnished and very clean. Being a a quiet position I was able to deal with on a my work programme for the following day

    Limited bathroom accessories. No glass tumblers in the room and a mini bar would be acceptable.

    "We were generally very pleased with the three nights we spent at the hotel. Food and service were good, despite the hotel being busy with a couple of golf tours. Voices echoed along corridors at night when people returned to their rooms late - not much to be done about that, as clients should be a little more considerate at 2 a.m!" (97149257)

    Rooms good size and clean. The staff are very competent and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. My elderly mother was well looked after too and access was very good around the facilities for her with the lift and slopes to upper floors.

    We reported two small things, both concerning the bathrooms.

    "Staff very friendly, Hotel clean, Only one downside of stay was room service breakfast was not covered and therefore almost cold when it arrived + for health and safety reasons the full english should have been covered.     "I would recommend this hotel as great value for money. Rooms are light and sizeable. We did not have time to use the leisure and spa facilities but they looked very inviting. Staff were cheerful and helpfuul." (99107465)

    We had a very good welcome from staff. The room was a good size and had a great view over the golf course.
