    Wij kregen een zeer welkom gevoel en prima informatie. De kamer was prima en het sanitair ook en zeer schoon.

    Het enige waar wij niet zo gecharmeerd van zijn, is dat iemand van het personeel tijdens de maaltijd toekijkt en elk stukje serviesgoed meteen weghaalt zodra dit leeg is, vaak voor de persoon langs. Hierdoor zit men niet rustig te eten.

    Well placed in centre of Arras.

    No car park. You have to park in one of the squares.Pay and display, but its free overnight from 18.00 until 09.00hrs.

    good location in Arras, not so easy parking - you have to be patient, excellent breakfast (9Euro),

    £45 per head per night for B and B is a little expensive for a 2 star hotel, a fun fair spoiled the Grand Place unfortunately

    "From the point of view of cleanliness - the hotel was -immaculate-. We received a very pleasant welcome from the Owner with complimentary tea,coffee and chocolates offered. The room although small was adequate, however for two people for more than a couple of nights it might be somewhat cramped; however, we hadn't asked, if there were larger rooms so this may not be an issue if one specified what was required. The view was interesting and gave on to the square, with its reconstructed medieval facades. There was however, absolutely -no- noise as the windows were triple glazed and the blind fabricated to exclude light. I also remarked that a cooling system was provided so that windows need not be opened in warmer weather, thereby again obviating the noise factor. The negative for us was that the 'double' bed really needed to be bigger - it was actually more like a 1 1/2 size single bed, rather than a proper double bed. It would perhaps have been preferable in that particular room, that the night tables were smaller and the space used for a larger bed, or one night table, between two single beds leaving the option to the guests to push the beds together, but still providing a comfortable nights sleep. The Breakfast, tastefully presented, was excellent with a selection of everything one could possibly hope to want. The quality of the food was also -first class- from farmhouse butter, eggs, to quality ham and cheese, fresh fruit, including pink grapefruits, kiwis etc., croissants, with a large selection of different jams, marmalde, honey etc. The general feeling was that of 'dining,' as opposed to a -something to eat breakfast on the run-. I would return to this hotel and I would also recommend it. In today's world of slapdash, indifferent service, this hotel made a pleasant change with its attention to detail, excellent French fare (as indeed it used to be throughout France at one stage) and courteous, warm, welcome."     "A very comfortable, friendly, smaller, family hotel which made a refreshing change from the normal hotel chains!! A petite and bijou hotel which translates into a "little jewel". But keep it quiet." (97134062)

    Hotel was very clean, breakfast was superb, Mr.Philippe Caillet, the Patron was extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were offered tea, coffee, juice. Very much appreciated. Place des Heroes is the smaller of the 2 squares - La Grande Place is huge - but Place des Heroes was much more interesting with lots of restaurants and cafes all around. Plenty of Parking in the square from 9 - 12 and 2 - 6 at 1 euro an hour. All other times it is free. We were a family of 8 visiting the War Grave of our Grandfather in nearby Roclincourt and the newly-discovered underground tunnels where 24000 troops gathered before the Battle of Arras in 1917. It was all very moving and beautifully kept.

    Only bad point was that the rooms were a little small but for 2 nights it was OK.

    "The hotel suited our needs, which was for a centrally placed hotel with parking, so that we could make an overnight stop with easy access to the historic centre of Arras. We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel." (97685038)

    Excellent location. In the heart of historic Arras. Surrounded by restaurants and bars. Easy on-street parking. Friendly staff. Nice welcome drink and fruit. Good breakfast. Rather small room but understandable as in a historic building.

    Not a problem for us, but there is no lift.

    The hotel is very well situated on one of the main squares, and near several restaurants. Noise was not a problem - even the sound of the bells was bearable. The patron is extremely helpful, and the breakfast superb!

    The room and bathroom are a little on the small side, but perfectly adequate for a short stay.

    "The Hotel was very clean and convenient and despite being on the busy square was extremely quiet. Although Arras is a large town staying in the Place des Heros felt like a small friendly village with a good choice of bars and restaurants. The shops are also off the square as is the Cathedral so everywhere of interest is in walking distance. Parking was not a problem either and we were grateful to Monsieur Caillet for telling us not to park on the square on Tuesday evening prior to the market being set up early on Wednesday morning. All in all a very enjoyable stay." (97076395)

    It was very conveniently situated and the room was cleaned daily. There were refreshments provided in the main reception area along with helpful booklets about local places of interest.

    The only downside was that there was no lift and our room was on the second floor.

    Air conditioning would be a welcome addition. Like many French hotels the room was quite small.

    Well located and well maintained hotel. Small and personal style. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Room has a separate toilet and bathroom. Great shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure.

    Small but perfectly adequate room. Parking in the vicinity of the hotel can be difficult to locate.

    "We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was in a great central position overlooking the square. Parking was quite difficult, the underground park is the best one about a 5 min walkaway from the hotel.The bedroom was quite small. the bath was very small no good for a long soak." (97006878)

    An excellent two star hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is located right in the centre of town with easy parking and a host of bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean and of an adequate size with most looking out onto the square.

    The accomodation would not be suitable for people with a disability who found stairs difficult. This is not, as such, a dislike from my own point of view, more an observation.

    "This hotel proved a good base for exploring WW1 sites in the Arras/Albert area. The Tourist information office is 50m from the hotel and plenty of restaurants are in the same square or nearby, as is parking. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, spoke good English and served the best B&B breakfast we had on the trip. The room was small but quite acceptable for the price range." (97631049)

    Location: in characterful town centre square. Affordable: for an unscheduled journey break. Breakfast offered a more extensive choice of quality food than I was expecting.
