    great value for money, very clean room and veru friendly staff. Best location for travelling from and to U.K. Nice meals, lots of choice, good value for money.

    "Good food in the restaurant, comfy rooms with all facilties the brits expect.Have stayed in the usual budget hotels with minimal room facilities, this hotel was much more superior that those and the staff are exceptional at making guests feel welcome especially after we had driven for 8hours and did not know what to expect on our arrival. A very pleasant stay." (107316656)

    The hotel is very clean with staff who are very welcoming. The booking in process was very quick, the rooms comfortable and it was great to have a the facilities to make a nice cup of tea, will stay here again and would strongly recommend this hotel to others.

    Perfectly placed for the Tunnel, 5 minutes away. Rooms were quiet. Shower was powerful.

    The food is really bad. Saladbar with old salads and dried out meat. Housewine is also poor quality.

    "Made our return to UK easier, being so convenient for Eurotunnel. Would have liked to see more of Calais, walked in ( quite a long way - could shuttles be provided?) and all was closed, it was Sunday!" (107571126)

    room had all the equipment needed for a short break, convenient for Cite Europe and Eurotunnel. Meals good value.

    "Having read some negative feedback I was a bit aprehensive,unecessarily so as the hotel was excellent.The food in the restaurant was very reasonably priced and the menu quite extensive. The only negative comment would be that at 8 euros the continental breakfast is a little expensive." (107572521)

    HOTEL WAS IN NEED OF A NEW STAIR AND ENTRANCE CARPET AS IT WAS WELL WORN.

    "Reason for the stopover was because we had worked all day and had thus booked a late crossing on the Shuttle. We wanted somewhere to stay immediately after the crossing as we had a long 6 - 7 hour drive ahead of us and wished to be awake and fresh when we started off" (107791153)

    Extremely handy for the Eurotunnel. Easy to get to. Staff pleasant

    Location is not a pretty one, but the views were not the reason for staying there

    Convenient, easy to find, well located for channel tunnel. Very nice restaurant and evening meal.

    We were most impressed with everything about the hotel, food and staff - real value for money. Used to staying in 4 / 5 star hotels across europe and you could easily out perform most of them!

    "A short but pleasant stay with everything you could want from a hotel whilst on transit or for a short stay." (107525775)

    Travelling alone can be daunting - especially on the continent. However I was instantly put at my ease by the lady on reception and made to feel very welcome and with that secure. The food and wine in the restaurant that evening was delicious and certainly needed after the journey I had had and had yet to come!

    "A very pleasant little hotel which is very near the autoroute and convenient for Calais ferries/eurotunnel/shopping. Tea nd coffee-making facilities were provided but although the TV was supposed to show several GB channels in effect only one was viewable. We had our evening meal here as there are no other restaurants within walking distance. We chose the fixed price menu and it was excellent. There was a comprehensive starter buffet and an equally large dessert buffet with a choice of about 8 main meals ~~ all for less than 15 euros!" (107324374)

    "It's a shame, but mainly because of the drop in quality of the food, we will now look for somewhere else to stay after many years of useing this convienent Hotel." (107871615)

    Generally clean and tidy with a laid back atmosphere and very good helpful staff. Convenient location for the French motorway system. Used to have a good restaurant.

    Hotel is looking tired now with holes in and stains on the carpet and the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. A number of items on the already restricted menu were unavailable on both days we stayed there this time(over a week apart).

    The staff were most helpful and ensured that our bill was correct. Any requests were dealt with promptly with minimum fuss. Well done.

    When booking on line it was unclear that we would automatically be charged for breakfast. We were leaving too early in the morning to have breakfast. Perhaps on the web site you could provide the facility to allow people to decide whether they wish to have breakfast.

    Cheery welcome,good restaurant, good service, good choices and good prices. Close to Tunnel/Ferry.Close to town.Close to UK.

    Carpet has seen better days, the half landing has a hell of a bald spot.Toilet bowl had a piece broken out of it(219)but was clean nevertheless .Obviously our rooms were smoking pre the ban, the wood floor took away the smell from that, but hallways still had a smoky smell.
