    Hotel staff helpful and all areas clean and welcoming. Had very good meal in hotel restaurant and felt relaxed and not rushed in any way.

    Convenient to Cite Europe Enyoyable evening meal and waiter were parrticularly pleasant.

    Rooms smelt of smoke Rooms were not warm enough Breakfast was not adequate, particuarly the trays of food- croissants were not replaced when tray was empty

    easy to find ,we liked being on the seafront excellent room even tea making facilties unusual in France.good clean bathroom We liked english programs on the television .One very small point the tv was mounted too high difficult to see when in bed.

    Good location near sea-front with plenty of free parking. Restaurant had a reasonable choice and food was good.

    Room was rather crowded due to having a third bed that we didn't need. Service in restaurant was rather slow. We were told the tables by the window were reserved, but no one turned up for them.

    Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the evening meals, waiters also very friendly and helpful.

    Tea making facilities in bedroom quite poor, plastic cups! Only two small milk portions per day per couple, 4 would be a more acceptable number (cup of a night, cup of a morning).

    "One night stay before getting the ferry to England. Arrived in the dark and the direction to the hotel were easy to follow. The hotel was suitable for our purpose and a good price." (108159897)

    Excellent value for money. Very clean bathroom and bedroom. We had Breakfast and Dinner and were delighted with both meals. Staff were very helpful.

    Hotel sign was not lit up. It was being repaired. Quite noisy due to doors being closed during the night.

    View of channel and ferries very good. Room and amenities very good for the price.

    Our friends room hadn't been fully serviced. They had to ask at reception for clean towels. coffee, tea, milk and sugar. But the receptionist was nice and very quickly provided the requested items. Rooms unfortunately aren't very well sound proofed and therefore you can hear people coming and going.

    Good location for breaking a journey back from France. Hotel is good value. Staff always friendly and efficient and the standard of food has improved over the last couple of years.

    Excellent staff and food in restaurant very good standard. Lovely position on the sea front.

    Mattress was a little firm for our liking and the decoration is looking a bit tired.

    Hotel well situated from autoroute. Room well decorated and clean; all facilities working. Double glazing meant minimal noise disturbance. Restaurant fine, with good range of menus/dishes at reasonable prices, and efficient, pleasant service. Breakfast buffet next morning included mini pots of Bonne Maman jams - a very agreeable touch!

    Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was good and good value.

    No TV remote, shower fitment faulty, flooring in room a tacky sort of foam - felt dirty, room small and earwig crawling over toothbrush in toilet off putting.

    Very close to the beach and port. Good ample parking. short distance to walk into center of Calais and fantastic sea food restaurants. Very quiet at night.

    Bathroom: tiles need to be redone as show age and mould showing Restaurant: Waiter did not bring us the bed basket and brought white wine instead of red.

    Inexpensive, good location for our needs & OK for short stay, quiet, pleasant staff, plenty of parking, town walkable.

    Access a bit tricky & poorly signed, room cramped & only good for a nights rest, some furnishings grubby, only 1 spare pillow, no heating, breakfast average.

    "difficult choice between Coquelles and Calais. Kyriad seems to have become almost as expensive as other less basic hotels now. Losing some of its advantage for me. I would go to Coquelles to save 5-10 euros and just to meet the Manager again who is so friendly. But the Calais hotel is reasonable esp because you can walk around from there." (107430318)

    "We have stayed here on several occassions over the last 4 years and have always found it comfortable and good value. Unfortunately the restaurant menu never seems to change, and although the food is good, we chose to eat elsewhere this time. We do however find this with most of the local restaurants. " (107745748)
