    L'hotel est bien situe. Le petit dejeuner est tres bon.

    Le hotel est ferme a 1900 heures le vendredi et dimanche. Nous sommes arrives a 21.30 et la porte etait fermee a cle. J'ai essaye de telephoner mais sans reponse. On m'a dit que il y avait le numero d'urgence mais je n'ai rien vu. Nous avons passe la premiere nuit dans un autre hotel La cabine de douche etait salle, la porte de la cabine cassee.

    Hotel was very clean, plenty of clean towels and toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful , staff were very nice and friendly.

    Room could benefit from some sort of fan, it was very hot.

    "The bed was clean and the breakfast excellent. The overall ambience of the hotel is poor and it is very noisy at night due to street noise and bakery shutters opening at 3.30am." (107847880)

    The breakfast was very good. We loved the very fresh bread and friendly service.

    Although I booked 2 twin rooms, only 1 seemed to have been reserved in my name. Luckily a second room was available. At booking, I was not told that the restaurant was closed due to the holiday even though I requested a dinner reservation.

    Chambre assez grande

    Un hôtel qui aurait besoin d'un petit coup de rajeunissement. Pas de déco ni d'ambiance. Juste un hôtel de passage pour une nuit. Le personnel de chambre semble d'un grand amateurisme (j'ai eu l'impression que le lit avait été fait par un ado à contre coeur - linge de toilette largement déchiré etc..) Aucune insonorisation (extérieur et intérieur)

    15 euro 3-course meal in restaurant is excellent, as is breakfast. Very comfortable room.

    No car park, so you have to make sure you have change for the parking metre in the street! (Starts at 9am until 6 pm)

    The hotel is in a good, fairly quiet position in St Omer, although it is within walking distance from all shops, bars, restaurants and parking etc. The room bed was clean, the bed was quite comfortable and there was no shortage of hot water on demand. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and plentiful.

    During the night the power in the hotel went off for several minutes after which time there was a smell of burning and a loud noise coming from the stairwell. Two of our party had to explore as the burning smell was getting worse and there was no-one on duty in the hotel that we could find. Eventually we located a couple of unlocked electrical/phone services cupboards in the stairwell so we switched off what appeared to be ventilation switch which stopped the noise and the burning smell disappeared. Slightly worrying.

    Receptionist was charming but had problems with registration and so delayed. Shower head fitting was broken and had to be held. TV too far away, small and too high

    "We were quite pleased with our stay and would use the hotel again, but we would make sure we had some water with us and, hopefully it would be cooler and we could keep the window closed!!" (108029170)

    Nicely situated for looking around the town. Very pleasant receptionist/waitress. Excellent food.

    As it was very warm, we had the window open all night and it was quite noisy(being in town centre!). We were not sure that the water was OK to drink from the tap and there was no kettle to make tea or coffee in the room.

    "The aim of our trip was to visit Brunssum, Holland and having travelled around; Brugges (hotel good and friendly), Holland (hotel good and friendly), but the hotel at Ypres in the market square left a lot to be desired, the proprietor was very unfriendly and smoked and the rooms poor; so on arriving at Hotel Les Frangins St Omer, we found it very welcoming and the staff and brothers were friendly. Had a nice evening meal, substantial breakfast. We only stayed one night on our way back to England but it was most enjoyable. We would have been more than happy to spend longer at Hotel Les Frangins." (97715030)

    The rooms were clean and bright. Food in restaurant very good and the friendliness of the owners and staff very good.

    "Photo of the hotel was very flattering and did not give a true view of the building/location (especially on a snowy Sunday). No mention made that the restaurant would be closed on Sunday - one overnight and most of St Omer was shut. There was nowhere to even get a cup of coffee until after 7pm - perhaps facilities in the room could be supplied?" (97220404)

    Hotel obviously used for overnight business travellers. Not very attractive, steep stairs, shabby.

    "We have stayed at this hotel several times and usually have a good experience. The restaurant is nice with a very reasonable and tasty menu. Rooms are clean and well equipped. We have had two bad experiences at this hotel, once, a year or so ago because toilet was broken and couldn`t be repaired until after we`d left and this time because of the strong smell of paint. When we arrived at the room, the door was ajar using a magazine and balcony door/window was open. When we closed them to go out and then returned, the smell of paint was so strong, our eyes were itching. Because of that, we had to leave the balcony door open all night and it was freezing weather anyway. Also, the noise in the street below was amplified, due to open door. It was a terrible night`s sleep and I think this time, we won`t be returning. You shouldn`t put people in a room which has just been painted!" (97637439)
