    Château De Cocove is one of our favourite hotels, maintaining a high quality with a delightful “period” dignity and charm. It is a hotel we have had the pleasure of staying in several times and will again in the near future. I prefer – purely my liking of a large spacious room - the “luxury” bedrooms up stairs! Normally unless full booked I prefer these larger rooms. Cuisine excellent – Never had a poor quality meal! Service – Attentive and polite. Ambiance – Well it what we like – peacefully – capturing some of French history both long past and more recent! Location: Perfect for the relaxing mid week/weekend stay or when returning from further afield and you want a good evening to recharge before returning to the UK! Locality: Ideal – A lot to see locally if you seek and discover. St Omer always worth a visit!

    Architecturally very pleasing from outside. Old world charm. Bathroom and toilet fittings of excellent quality. Room very quiet.

    Room 9 was damp and smelled badly of damp and lack of use. Wall light dangerous as hanging off the wall and a safety hazard. Hot water took for ever to come through and my wife gave up on idea of a bath. Heating in room on timer and came on very late in morning - not good in winter time. No place around handbasin to put soap. Menu not great for those allergic to fish/fowl.

    Excellent food. Staff excellent.

    Chateau needs updating. Only facility in room was a television which we did not need. No wardrobe - only a cupboard which was falling to pieces inside. In the bathroom a hand-held shower (in this day and age?)!!

    Superb restaurant. Lovely location.

    Room fair, but only one comfortable chair. Lovely comfortable bed. A hairdryer was provided, but there was nowhere in the bathroom to plug it in.

    Enjoyed out stay. Room 11b rather small. We usually have room 14. Please let us know of any special offers you may have.

    Dinner overall good but steak very overcooked. We did order medium rare but steaks were very well done. A pity this spoilt a very good meal.

    Beautiful location. Stunning chateau. Friendly & helpful staff. Atmospheric dining room. Breakfast was more than just the continental one advertised.

    Bathroom very poor, no proper shower, very shoddy workmanship. Only one plug socket in room which was so old our adapter wouldn't fit it. Although food delicious we were disppointed that the profiteroles were frozen. For the top price paid they should have been freshly made.

    "The hotel was everything you would expect. The grounds are fantastic with some nice little villages. We drove up the road in the afternoon and had a beer in a local Tabac.. The staff were friendly and the hotel was spotless. We took a table in the hotel for dinner and the food was really good. " (108923204)

    We only booked on-line at 10am and arrived by 4pm. The hotel was fantastic. The meal on the evening was one of the best i have had for a while.

    A very pretty location and lovely hotel. Also they happily accepted my two small dogs!

    My room as lovely but was extremely musty smelling and that did put me off a little but it would not put me off staying there again.

    A gem of a find, very quiet and peaceful, clean and welcoming with pleasant bedroom

    Chateaubriand was small portion and served blue not pink otherwise food fair to good. Service slow as a party of twenty were in at the same time and we were neglected but no offer to reduce price.

    Staying in the ambience of an old chateaux within easy reach of the tunnel.

    Chateaux room in need of decoration, bearing in mind old chateaux. Restaurant great setting, food definitely not special, overpriced for what it was. This remark agrees with some of the on line comments already made by previous people.

    Rooms recently re-furbished on ground floor and are first class. Without exception the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant was first class.

    Had a terrible journey. Arrived at 3.30am with clear instructions left with our key easily found upon entry. The room was warm and spacious with a lovely view. Breakfast was good but limted to continental.

    Plumbing was falling to pieces. Grouting was coming adrift. TV was volume limited which was slightly annoying. No BBC channels. Exit route for drivers from the site was not clearly specified. Several drivers seemed confused.

    We have stayed here three times now and come back because we love the chateau and the surroundings.

    This time however our room was very small and smelt terribly. The food in the restaruant was as usual of good quality however there were only two waiting staff on duty for the bar and restaurant and the service was extreemly slow.

    Excellent situation - close to Calais but in the countryside Standard of the food - dear - but of a high quality

    Standard of service in the bar/dining room has declined - on previous visits drinks taken from bar to your table - wine was replenished when glass was nearing empty - now you had to do this alll yourself

    We stayed last year for two nights and enjoyed so much that we came back. Pleasant ambience and helpful staff. We liked the environment with the rural atmosphere.

    The staircase is difficult with heavy bags.

    Fabulous location. Very convenient for Calais, yet in a quiet rural setting. The buildings are very impressive, the dining room being particularly so.

    No proper over-bath shower, just a shower attachment in the bath.

    Pleasant location, but this hotel had an atmosphere with something of a faded glory about it.

    Quite an expensive stay,in just about adequate accommodation.The staff were not friendly or welcoming.
