    "We took a cab from Gare Est. It was a mile away and the cab driver circled around, pulled out a map and acted like the one way streets were making it difficult to reach. It was obvious he didn't like the short fare and was just running up the meter, but what can you do when you're loaded down with luggage. It would be nice if the hotel could set up a pre-arranged pickup with a reasonable fare. That's how we arranged arrival to New York and Rome on this trip. Additionally, I was traveling with my husband and teen daughter. We had 3 twin beds instead of a double and a twin. I will say that the man at the desk on our arrival was great. When ever he was working, he was helpful and pleasant. Some of the other front desk staff were not nearly as helpful." (99216062)

    Proximity to Paris attractions and underground access. Additionally, we were on a month long vacation. I booked hotels for locations and knowing we wouldn't be in the room very often, wanted to keep the rate down. The rate at this hotel was very good.

    Near surrounding area seemed somewhat sketchy, but within a 5 minute walk we could be in a better area.

    "Parking restrictions around the hotel could be a pain if you're unable to find a 'free' (in August only!) parking space. Not much 'local' shopping but plenty slightly further afield. Frankly, you don't spend much time in your hotel (on holiday anyway) and this one is so well located it'd be worth paying the local underground car park fee, and catching the very close Metro or even (as we did) walking to so many of the Paris attractions."
