    the staff were helpful.The hotel was opposite the gare du nord.

    The lift was too small and didn't work coming down.I was on the 5th floor and had to carry my luggage downstairs.The dining room was the smallest I have ever stayed at.It was much to small.breakfast was only served from 8am

    "The service in general was very poor.we requested to have breakfast one morning and we were advised to go to the bakers next door and were refused breakfast at the hotel.we did not get fresh towels every day.it was not value for money.we have been to many countries in the world and never stayed at a hotel like this ever."     The only good thing about our stay at this hotel was that there was plenty of hot water at any time for showers.

    the lift was cramped, as was the shower as was the room. and no air conditioning.we had to open the windows on the very hot night Wednesday 5th August and the traffic was so noisy I could not sleep and was falling asleep all day the next day.

    "Really need to have the hotel rooms airconditioned as it was very hot. Rooms need to be checked as there was cigarette ash on the floor, I though it was a not smoking hotel, there were signs in reception. The shower could be a bit bigger for a larger person it was a bit small." (107831846)

    The location was good for us as it was close to the station

    When we arrive we did not have any towels, requested them from reception was told we could not get then until 10.00pm, I had to ring again for them, when we eventually got them we only got hand towels. We had bath towels in the room when we got back to the hotel the next day.

    "The hotel had no reservation for me. I did not stay there a single night. The man at the front desk could not tell me if I would be charged or not. It was in really bad neighborhood and the place was disgustingly filthy and that was just in the lobby. There was a man masturbating outside in the street in front of the hotel. This was the worst experience I've ever had getting a hotel. I will not use your service again and will be telling everyone i come in to contact with not to use your service as well as the Picardy Hotel." (107990206)

    good location, cheap

    tap in the sink didn't switch off properly, it didn't seem that warm (although i might have had the radiator switched off), the shower head fell out of the shower head holder

    Close to Gare du Nord. Reasonably priced

    Cramped, old-fashioned, no facilities, there was no handle on the window in my room so I had to use the TV to wedge it shut as it was sub-zero outside. There was no shower curtain so the bathroom flooded when I had a shower. The lift was like something out of a horror film, the staircase was a deathtrap and there was dirty linen strewn all over the landings.

    "Overall was a pleasant stay. Is not the nicest hotel I have ever seen but in terms of value for money it was good. I did not have many expectations so was happy that it lived up to the job. Staff were helpful and thankfully one or two had a good command of english which made things a lot easier. It is in an ideal location right opposite Gare du Nord station which made it easy as I was only there for a short amount of time so I could spend more time exploring rather than travelling into the centre of Paris. The only problem was that they didn't seem to have the booking for the first night on their system, thankfully they were very accomodating and found us a room." (97261234)

    "The light in the bathroom did not work so the room was dark and the bathroom door was off its runner and hence could not be closed. The main light in the bedroom only worked intimittently. These were reported but no action was taken. The showerhead would not stay up and therefore had to be held in the hand. With no showercurtain the bathroom was covered in water.     The hotel is close to the railway station Gare du Nord.

    The shower was not working properly. There was only one electric outlet in the room. There was no electric outlet in the bathroom. The lift was not working (8-floor bulding).
