    Excellent room well equiped and very clean, all of the equipment (kettle,shower etc) functioned correctly and the beds where comfortable.

    Beautiful position and very good value over all

    One major problem was an air handling unit rumbling in the kitchen that kept me awake in the night so that I had to be moved rooms (from Room 230)- I imagine this is a problem for other guests too as I am not really a light sleeper - it was annoying but the night staff were good The hotel restaurant was a little over-priced

    The staff were efficient and polite and everything was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable with a lovely view of the bridge and gorge. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

    The breakfast was very good and the staff very efficient but the hot food was cool and once it was on a cold plate, got even colder. I recommend the temperature of the bainmaree is raised and warm plates are provided. Otherwise, excellent.

    Fast efficient service at breakfast, my cooked breakfast arived before I had even started my bowl of fresh fruit !!!

    The lift and the corridor on the 3rd floor had a terrible odour of body odour. The waiting area at reception was not very comfortable, no newspapers just endless copies of the same promotional broucher. The buffet selection at breakfast was not great.

    Lovely position in Clifton. Good buffet breakfast. Comfortable good sized rooms.

    Restaurant too small when hotel full. Couldn't get a reservation for dinner until after 9.30pm, and at breakfast had to wait for a table.

    Resturant was excellent and hotel staff were very attentive and knowledgeable

    Very poor decor finish in room, bathroom tiling and grouting awful. Toilet seat didn't look safe. Door lock to room needs updating for this standard of hotel. The section of hotel I was in had a feeling of @Travel Lodge' about it. Also stair wells are not a good place for a bar or functions when guests have to walk through tem to get to thier rooms!

    Nice view of the bridge.

    Unorganized staff in the restaurant (during breakfast) and unprofessional. VERY disgusted to learn that jellys and toast are recycled between guest tables!!! If not eaten, overheard staff being instructed to re-use with next guest. Very poor parking situation. For quality of room and breakfast, this was a very poor value for the money.

    It was the best hotel i have ever stayed in.I can not find a single fault with the hotel or staff atall hope you pay them well as they are all a assest to your establishment. parking was a pain but thats of no fault to your hotel.

    nice hotel, great location, friendly staff, nice views from the terrace.

    poor parking facilities, the 20% off voucher for the bridge cafe was a waste of time for us as the opening hours are limited ! there is no admittnace to the terrace after dark which means if you smoke you have no where to smoke if you wish to have a late night drink, the staff at breakfast were very slow topping up the selection of foodstuff and we were only asked once for tea or coffee so we sat with empty cups for some time ...no refill !!!! we were charged two seperate prices for the same round of drinks and had to go to some length to have it rectified !

    "1. We used public transport to travel to and within Bristol. It would be useful to have basic information on bus services linking the hotel with central Bristol and with Temple Meads station. Obviously, as bus services change fairly often, this would need to be kept up to date. 2. our room (235) would have been very difficult to access had either of us had our mobility impaired, due to the steps at various points along the long corridor from the lift. Does your on-line booking procedure make this clear? 3. We would definately consider using the hotel next time we stay in Bristol!" (97164120)

    Room 235: good beds, quiet room with good mirrors (always a help when two people are dressing at the same tiome and both want to look smart. Very efficient and friendly receptionist. Terrace overlooking the Avon Gorge has wonderful views. Breakfast was busy but we found good seats and most if not everything we wanted was available without delay.

    Just some small issues: the extractor fan in room 235 bathroom didn't work: a serious deficiency when there's no window; also: bathtaps were impossible to turn off fully - probably due to worn washers, which should be replaced. We enjoyed breakfast, but: layout of the various sections was poor. Cereals were separated from the chilled cabinet (fresh fruit etc.).The queue for the hot dishes obstructed guests' access to the chilled cabinet. The whole range of food and drink should have been frequently and regularly monitored to ensure that everything was being replenished before it ran out.

    The location of the hotel is outstanding. Right on the Bristol suspension bridge. The views are breath taking and the Clifton Village setting is fantastic.

    Room was very small and basic. i had a village view on the booking site but to be honest when I got into the room all you can see is a wall!

    The location was lovely. Shame about the hotel. Breakfast was nice.

    Bed wasn't made for any of us when arrived. This didn't get resolved for several hours with no apology or explanation. Hotel was far too hot to the point of uncomfortableness/claustrophobic feelings. My room was right next to some sort of generator which kept me awake the majority fo the night. The rooms were shabby and in serious need of a lick of an update which is surprising as the outward appearances of the hotel is very impressive.

    The view of the Clifton bridge was nice, hotel staff were very nice & the staff at breakfast were very helpful, food was good, bed was very comfortable for a change

    Nothing ourstanding. Site is very striking, and the double doors at entrance made waiting for pick up better. Breakfast was good.

    1. The radiator in the room whch was full 'on' did not seem adequate. It was cooler in room that in reception and corridor. 2. We had a cold first night with only a single blanket on each bed. No extra blankets were provided in room until I asked for them the following day.
