    Clean and tidy, tea and coffee making facilities, decent quality hair dryer, good breakfast, iron and board provided

    Too hot! Difficult to open window. Polyester pillows are hot and either too flat or too high.

    We had to go out for diner because the dining room was unavailable in the evening due to a large party booking.We were unaware of this until we actually booked in.We would have preferred to have had this information at the time of booking.

    Food in dining room was very good for evening meal but exact same specials on both nights. (It was a fixed menu with a choice of two items) As a result we looked for else where to eat. Dining room was bright and attractive. Breakfasts were good. Staff were very pleasant and tried to accomodating as best they could.

    Rooms were tired and run down looking. Beds saggy. Windows that were not able to stay over on their own - had to prop with books. No ventilation in room yet pubs that stayed open until 2:00am were outside the window. Elevator broken down and there was no repair in process. Room was three flights of stairs up and one had to carry luggage up narrow stairs.

    Very friendly and welcoming.

    Shower VERY weak ended up not washing hair!!! Room far too hot therefore didn't sleep well.

    "The Best Western Abbey Hotel was in a very central position, making it very easy to wander over to the Abbey, the Pump Room and Baths and we were just down the road from the oldest house in Bath, where we ate magnificent buns!!" (108163277)

    Our first room was a little cramped, but the following morning the staff were very helpful and quickly upgraded us to a wonderfully large room. The breakfast was incredibly good and overall we had no complaints.

    We booked atthe last minute and obtained the last available room, which was very small.

    "Great location but not value for money when put against similar 3* hotels in Bath" (108275314)

    Great location, come to Bath a lot and always wondered what it was like to stay there. Staff were friendly and the room was nice and big.

    No shower curtain or rail!! so unless we flooded the bathroom no good. One breakfast was awful, "2 free range eggs on hot buttered toast" how wonderful do they sound, not so, old eggs hard poached and not straineed so soggy toast. I sent it back received an appology and that was that.....

    Centrally situated hotel, short distance to all interesting places

    To much noise from the streets. It was a heath-wave during our stay, we had to open windows and could nearly not sleep because of this noise. Therefore our conclusion is negative.

    The hotel was in a good location, breakfast and internet connection provided as part of the room rate, and The staff was very friendly and helpful

    The bed was extremely uncomfortable and sloped to the center. It really needed to be replaced. The room was very very small.

    "a pleasant clean hotel with friendly staff and in excellent location. the single room was tiny with little space in which to put clothing - only one drawer in the desk because the other drawer had been adapted to hold kettle and cups for tea. a mini bar would be an excellent addition although in the single rooms I don't know where it could be installed."     The staff were all extrememly helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of hotel excellent and room was ready on arrival. The room was cleaned in timely fashion

    The single room was very small and most of the furniture was packed into the wardrobe - suitcase stand, and small set of shelves. I had to arrange them in the room myself so I could put my clothes and belongings in an accessible place. Even the ironing board was in the very small closet. no area to park car while unloading luggage and checking in although long stay car park was close by.

    Has to be the best located Hotel in Bath for the tourist. Good restaurants and walks only yards away. You feel secure in the Town late at night and the people are all happy and friendly. The Staff are nice and very helpful people and there was piano and violin music played in the lounge late in the evening which was enjoyable.

    The only improvement I can suggest is a small one. When the tables and chairs are put out on the frontage early in the morning give the pavement a good clean. There are cigarette ends and stains on the flags. This is the only improvement I can suggest for this Hotel.

    Central hotel, near to all main sites. Great view of Bath. Facilities good for 3 star hotel. Staff friendly.

    Difficult to find good temperature in shower, very delicate. WiFi connection did not work all weekend.

    Staff friendly and helpful at times Hotel in excellent position

    Noisy in street outside, no hot water in shower in morning, towel rail fell off wall, 6.30am wake-up call not ordered! Ordered tea cake took half an hour to arrive after chasing it up, breakfast room dirty, disorganized nothing replenished on continental buffet, cooked breakfast swamped in beans and tasteless mushrooms.

    Friendly helpful staff, great location,lovely older building (glad to have a lift, for luggage help) nice big room,well taken care of

    No on site parking and feeding the pay on site meter was a pain. But,understand due to location. Pub outside rather loud,but part of the experience.

    The hotel is beautifully placed ina excellent location in the centre of Bath.

    The water was very slow to leave the shower unit and at one point it was 6" deeep. The Veggie breakfast selection was very limited and the portion (particularly the beaked beans) were small.

    The decoration of the hotel was lovely and inkeeping with the atmosphere of Bath. Staff were friendly and attentive.

    In-room toilet was troublesome to flush. Staff in the breakfast room seemed a bit stretched and were not as on the ball as I would have expected from a Best Western. I was not thrilled with being in a room on the ground-floor so close to the reception area and front door of the hotel.

    Reception staff very helpful. Good breakfast except 4 toast - why have toast making equipment with such poor toast making ability? Seems to be typical, I have to say, for most hotels I have stayed in ! But why is this? Perhaps self service is not a good move for toast provision.....

    Dining area - room heating [rads located behind curtains are a waste of energy and do not thus heat room accordingly]. TV small and incorrectly located ie high up wall. Pop up waste to basin - non functioning - water retained in basin!

    Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly. Location was good for main attractions.

    Very small room and it was extremely hot. Shower in room above leaked into light fitting whilst being use by occupents.

    "I would look elsewhere before I stayed there again. Had they not been fully booked I would have asked for another room. Having said that £70 for B&B in the centre of Bath is not bad but the cleanliness of the room left a very negative impression" (107847359)

    Great location, good breakfast, comfortable lounge/bar area, clean bedlinen, large bedroom which was warm.

    The sink and toilet were stained. The bathroom generally was dirty it just needed a good clean with strong bleach down the toilet. The sofa in the bedroom was also stained so you didn't want to sit on it. The drawerer that kept the kettle and tea cups was broken. All the above could be resolved easily and cheaply with a good clean and good maintenance.

    Greta central location, nice selection at breakfast, polite service, nice bar for drinks after meal.

    The locality of the hotel was great for visiting all the sights, staff were very friendly and efficient.

    The rooms were fairly small, the television was not placed in the best position in the room, you could not lie on the bed and watch the television, The room was very warm, we were at the front of the hotel so it was very noisy in the early hours of Sunday morning but we needed the window open as the room was so warm

    The staff were all incredibly helpful and made every effort to help with the rooms as we had people arriving at different times. We were able to change the booking and put more people in one room, with no cancellation charge. The hotel is excellently located in the centre of Bath, is nicely decorated and feels friendly and safe.

    There is no parking! And there was a bit of a queue for breakfast, but to be fair they did highlight the busy times so we were made aware of the possibility of having to wait. Our room was at the front, right opposite a late-opening nightclub/pub, so it was a shame we couldnt close the double glazing, as that might have helped block out the noise (but it is centrally located, so cant really complain about the noise!).

    Location was excellent. Clean rooms, friendly staff.

    Some bathroom issues, + no facecloths, one of our two rooms did not have shampoo, soap etc. but this was soon taken care of. Slow service in dining room, however meal was good.
