    My only quibble was that there was no one around when I arrived. As I had no cell phone, I went to a nearby housing area to have someone there call the number for me posted on the door. This process took about 45 mins.

    Location, accomodation was excellent, very clean, great view from room, breakfast was very good, you have to have the cooked breakfast!! And the people are very friendly, oh and very good food just down the road at the red cow (i think thats what is was called!!).

    Heating wasnt on, that wasnt a problem for us, but may be for others! Also very wet ha, just meant more time in the pub!

    The farm was very, very clean and our room very spacious. the staff were so friendly and helpful, and although we were left to enjoy our stay in peace, we knew there was assistance if we needed it.

    there weren't any bad points to our stay.

    Spacious and well-maintained accommodation. Excellent breakfasts, and food and welcome at neighbouring pub was also very good. Beautiful location with excellent walking, cycling and riding close by.

    None - dishwasher didn't work when we got there but in lieu if its repair the cleaners washed the dishes for us!

    Room comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Superb setting.

    Check in closed upon arrival (9.30 pm). we had to wait for 20 min under the rain... Plumbing a bit noisy.

    "The cottage is a beautifully appointed country experience. The views from all rooms, location overlooking a vale, and only a little walk away from a most lovely little pub (Butchers Arms), we were warmly welcomed by the locals, and had lively banter and interesting conversations until closing time. The staff were lovely and extremely obliging. The breakfast was served in a main house (the cottage is about 800m away). Let me be clear. You would walk 800 miles for the breakfast we were served. It was amazing. The serving staff were efficient and so friendly. The owners were delighted to chat with us after breakfast, and gave us some great tips for things to see off the beaten track that we would have missed otherwise. All in all this was by far the best place we stayed at for our entire 5 day holiday of Wales and Ireland." (97590039)

    Everything, (bar the road the GPS took us through to get there!!) There is a better way! Dont take the wee winding road over the bridge, especially if you're driving large vehicle!!

    Nothing at all, it was absolutely amazing, warm, and picturesque.

    The quality and furnishing of the accommodation was very superior. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The continental breaksfast was the best we've ever had.

    "The guest house is in a great location and within easy reach of the brecon beacons. There are two fairly good pubs in walking distance and the guest house itself is set in lovely, well kept grounds. The staff were very hospitably and the breakfast was excellent with such a variety of choice. If visiting the area again i would stay at this guest house" (99481381)

    The people who work here are very helpfull and friendly. The rooms are very clean. And the breakfast was excellent.

    "The only problem - we arrived late in the afternoon to find the guest house locked, with a notice to phone or to seek help at the property nearby - gentleman came immediately to let us in. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Reccommended pub nearby served a delicious evening meal - only a short distance away." (99854271)

    Obviously a very popular place -bed and breakfast accommodation was full, although we had booked - so we were offered a four bedroomed house, on site, as an alternative - which was excellent. Also the breakfast served was first class and staff very attentive.

    Immaculate presentation. Everything from sheets and towels to carpets and curtains was like new. Beds were good.

    "Everything was fantastic from the cottage to the staff. Slightly annoying that there was no mobile signal in the cottage but did get one in the main building. Its not far from Merthyr town but its a taxi ride away. I was given a number for a taxi firm who knew the farm from staff. There is a nice local pub 'The Butchers' with friendly staff and good food. Really good breakfast as well! The only pain was a short wait in the cold on check in as the housekeeper was not on site. But generally a fab stay!!" (99395156)

    "We needed a convenient place to stay, as we were going to Cardiff to watch the rugby international. We found it reasonably easily and transport was no problem for our journey to Cardiff. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed a hearty breakfast the following morning. I intend to visit again later in the year with my wife to enjoy more of the immediate countryside." (99745855)

    "I took a complete flier on this accomodation but it turned out very well indeed. It was extremely comfortable and warm. It was in a lovely location and our room overlooked the Beacons as well as the large gardens coupled with mature trees and multiple bird feeders." (99663654)

    "We had a poor start because it took a visit to the house over the road and a phone call before we could get into the accomodation. When a young lady turned up (after about 15 minutes) we were told we should have phoned 30 minutes before we arrived, unfortunately nobody had told us this. Once she did arrive however she was really friendly and helpful and told us of a couple of places we could get lunch. The room and buildings were first class and the breakfast couldn't have been better, we would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet break. The views were stunning and it was really peaceful."     "A very pleasant little hotel set in some wonderful countryside. A friendly welcome and pleasant service throughout. The room was very comfortable with all the extras that you need, TV, coffee making facilities, etc. A good variety was on offer for breakfast and the hotel made a good recommendation of The Butchers Arms, just down the road, for the evening meal. Pontsticillin is a quiet little village, off the beaten track and Penrhadw offers an excellent choice for a quiet relaxing break." (3304924943)

    Reasonable breakfast provided. Self catering was excellent. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was good.

    Flat is only partly refurbished. The water and heating system was situated in the lounge room and wasn't enclosed in a cupboard so it became slightly noisy when somebody was taking a shower or using the kitchen taps. The curtains in the bedroom didn't close properly as they were too short. The front door to the flat couldn't be locked from the inside.
