    The hotel and facilites - excellent, easy to access from the motorway too.

    When checking at 3pm - I found the hotel receptionist on that shift quite 'off', not really interested in us, not much eye contact, not very welcoming at all.

    Issuing to guests a door key card in an envelope with room numers and the hotel crest on the other side enables any one who finds the door key card in the envelope to have access to the guests possessions. Omit the crest and any other reference to the hotel will improve security and also probably reduce your costs. I did inform your receptionist of this when we checked out

    Reception staff not very cheerful, as they are your first point of contact a smile is always good! Don't think we were given the room we booked, booked room stated larger than average room with comfy chairs, room looked average size to me and no chairs, only 1 toilet roll in bathroom (not a full one) had to phone down for one in the morning, and it did not arrive, thankfully I did have wet wipes!!

    Everything and all the staff were perfect.

    I am disabled (blue badge holder) and my room was very far to walk. But that was my fault as I should have told you. But I thought the staff might have offered to change my room.

    excellent value and comfy room

    noticed a lack of maintainence about tyhe hotel. Little things that add up.The cold tap coloured insert was missing from sink in bathroom. There was some black mould starting around bath, there was ripped wallpaper next to lift on floor 2.There were a number of broken flags on entrance stairs and balcony. This did noy distract from an excellent stay but these things mount up and soon make a hotel tatty.

    The breakfast was good

    We spent our wedding night here. The next morning there was no hot water. We were asked to go for breakfast whilst they tried to get the hot water going. We finished breakfast at 10.50 with the hope of returning to our room gfor a shower as the water was now back on. We were told we couldnt have a shower as we had to vacate our room by 11am

    Staff freindly and helpfull we had a good deal on this stay.

    we have been staying at this hotel since it first opened average 4 times a year the presentation of breakfast this time was poor and not appealing also you used to have a small fridge in the rooms not any longer the standard has definateley gone down over the years.

    "This Hotel is excellent we had a two night stay and wish it was longer. We had are 5 month old son with us and the hotel staff helped make are stay very relaxing. The bar is welcoming to families and also at night. The bar also dose very good food. We are hoping to satay again in about 6 weeks time. " (107996326)

    Good food, great for familes, very good hotel all round

    Parking at night is hard as the car park get ful with people going to the guy.

    Very reasonable deal. Clean, spacious comfortable bedrooms. Ample parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Decent food, and good quality in the evening. Good value from the early diner offer.

    New decor in Reception and dining room reminiscent of a 3rd rate Las Vegas Casino. All self-service breakfast is a bit of a come-down from previous provision in this hotel. Horrible machine coffee, no decent eggs (and no black pudding - in Bury!)

    "Excellent, Had a very late night in the bar.didnt wake up till 11.30 am but checkout was at 11.00am, Not one member of staff knocked on my door to get us out. We checked out at 12.10 pm very happy which was very nice for a change. would love to stay again" (107214022)

    The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was really nice and facilities were excellent

    When my partner arrived at the hotel and handed over the booking reference no. 108083242 the hotel never recognised the booking reference. They said that this was not recognised as a booking reference no. Luckily they respected the price quoted and had a twin room available, but this was extremely embarassing for my partner.

    The room was very spacious and clean. The TV having the Sky Sports channells is excellent for me. Big Bed also good.

    I am not a lover of having to put your key in a slot for electric. I had to visit a local factory for printing design at late hours and when you return it is quite cold in your room, no electric.

    "We arrived back at the hotel at 11.30pm, my partner tried to orderroom service to be told that this was no longer possible after 10pm despite the fact there was a menue in our room that stated we could. We were offered take away menus which I do not find acceptable at all. Breakfast was not much better, no orange juice hardly any cutlery or tea and coffee cups and when we did manage to get cups the coffee machine would not work as the drip tray was full! The bagel I picked up was so hard and stale you could have used it as a door stop." (97685875)

    "I have started visiting my son in Manchester and will continue to use you once a month,sometimes more, for a long time. I enjoy the pool so does he , the food is good, I understand the hotel is under going refurbishment, but there seems to be no evidence of this in the rooms." (97273159)

    It is near to where my 6 year old boy lives, so I see him once a month and because you have a pool, good value for money.

    Not being able to check in before 2pm. I travel up from South Wales pick my son up and then try to find places to go when its raining.

    "The booking arrangements, the room and the genral staff care was excellent, let down only by a very poor standard of breakfast prior to departure, which leaves a lasting impression." (97333450)

    The breakfast was very poor, The fried eggs must have been cocked the night before and were inedible and the rest of the breakfast was very poor. This leaves a bad impression of an optherwise good stay, just before departure!!! We are staying at the Village in Liverpool, near Speke Airport, next Thursday 1st November and it has always been very good. We hope that the standard of the breakfast has not fallen as badly as at the Village in Bury.Please advise them of this failure in your company.

    THE ROOM WAS EXTREMELY QUIET AND THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY.

    THERE WERE DIRTY DISHES AND GLASSES LEFT NEAR THE LIFT, FOR A CONSIDERABLE LENGHT OF TIME.

    "On the whole good value for money. The room smelled too strongly of air freshener which was very overwhelming when you first entered the room We were told we would get a complimentary newspaper and then charged for it Other guests were very noisy, we were late and like a laugh but it was so bad I nearly complained, doors bang all through the night" (97375520)

    "Our stay was pleasurable. We have never been to Bury and would have liked to have had a room with a nice view, however the courtesy and politeness we received from guests and staff alike were greatly appreciated." (97193652)

    Room was clean and light and airy.

    The only thing was the room overlooked the roof - so not great views.
