    The Executive room was lovely as usual. Beautiful rooms at this hotel, warm and luxurious.

    I was not given clean hand towel so had no hand towel at all on second day and bath towel not changed. No toilet roll in bar toilet that I used on friday night and saturday night, dined at hotel friday night and saturday night as it is very convenient but we felt that the food was more like pub food some dishes were acceptable in their preparation and presentation but some were disappointing.

    restraunt staff poorly trained ie ordered wine as aperitif came after the meal was served,pored into water glass instead of wine glass.

    Eventually sorted out their mistake with our booking to our satisfaction

    Very rude receptionist. Reserved two rooms and they insisted at first we had only booked one room. Failed to inform us needed token to exit hotel car park Very poor service at breakfast. No cutlery - buffet not replenished

    Comfortable bed, quiet hotel.

    Breakfast was a nightmare, queue for bread/toast, queue for hot meal, queue for tea, queue for juice, no glasses, no cups, not all breakfast items available, tables being given to people when original people had not finished due to the long queues, never experienced this before really really bad for this standard of hotel, would not stay again due to this farce, really spoilt our stay. Toilet a bit suspect with stains in bowl. TV not that good.

    "So much to mention! This was a fantastic hotel and everything was perfect. We stayed here after a recommendation by a family member...we were not disappointed! Even though there was a wedding party also staying here, the room was so quiet you would never have known there was a reception going on! The food was lovely, the staff were only too happy to help and very polite. The breakfast was amazing :) Our lovely room was clean, tidy and very, very comfortable. We wanted to take the bed with us! We shall most certainly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wishing to treat themselves!!! :)" (108025185)

    Very pleasant staff. Excellent room (though not the Junior Suite we had booked which was not available)

    See above ref Suite. Breakfast was good but staff had to be asked for bread, glasses, fruit juice etc as they did not replenish until item was requested. Always polite when asked but had to be asjked. Bar prices were very high eg lime and soda nearly

    found the staff very good and bar and resteraunt area was very clean.

    in our room as we arrived the bathroom floor was absolutley covered in thick black hair, one of the bedside lights wasn't working, the shower head had soap squashed in to it, one of the sheets had a big hole in it. wasn't too impressed with the hotel rooms tidyness.

    Pleasant surroundings, room tastefully decorated and an excellant shower Good value for money

    Slow booking in, when several arriving together. Meal was very good standard of food but served slowly. Some people on our table had finished a course whilst others still waiting to be served.

    "The hotel is good value for money at weekends and faultless. I understand from local relatives that one has to be careful about flooding as it is located on a river prone to flooding. The car park can be flooded." (97071528)

    "This hotel is excellent for an overnight stay, with comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The only thing to avoid is breakfast. It is buffet style and not very well presented. Items frequently run out and are slow to be replenished and you often have to ask for things." (97239327)

    I have stayed at this hotel many times and generally speaking you get a friendly welcome, good service and facilities.

    My room was comfortable and had all the facilities I would expect of a 4-star hotel. It was also in a convenient location for the course I was attending near Winnersh station.

    I didn't think my stay was good value for money. In particular, I felt the cost of breakfast and dinner was a little high, although I was impressed with the quality. I also felt that access to the Poachers Pub next door could be improved. To get to it from the hotel involved crossing a small busy bridge with no footpath which was quite dangerous particularly when it was dark. As the hotel and pub are attached it would make sense to have a 'link corridor' between the two or have another pedestrian bridge over the moat so that visitors to the pub didn't need to walk on the road.

    "The hotel is very clean, modern and tidy. However, someone has to get a grip on the heating, whilst working in my room in the evening during November I had to drape a blanket around myself. The staff are very helpful but a little disorganised with the exception of breakfast which was slick and well run. My evening meal (room service)was ok but not great and was just warm." (97779981)

    The room was very cold, no heating was on. The bar area was also cold

    "I felt like a plum when i couldn't switch the lights on. Wasn't untill 10 minutes later i figured out that you put the door card in a slot near the door. I couldn't find it written on any of the information given to us." (97218591)

    It was a beutifull room, the best i've stayed in. It was modern and spacesuch

    The airconditioning was on in the room when we arrived and had to borrow a heater to warm the room up.

    The location of the hotel was just right for my purpose in Reading.

    There was a function nearby with the volume of the music quite high till late in the midnight.

    "I would like to have known the hotel described as being part of an old mill resembles a a featureless storage box, cold in the building it offered the same facility as a 2 star b+b and I have enjoyed more 'luxury' in many more modestly marketed establishment including Best Western. The staff were generally sullen and gave the strong indication that all was too much trouble. My pal and I were ther only people in the bar and restaurant which was icy cold and although the steak was excellent we quickly drew an end to the evening promising never to return, even though we use Nirvana Spa once a month!     The hotel is easy to find. The accommodation is fair for the price.

    The beds were too soft and hence had unrefreshed sleep. The music from the next door pub did not stop till midnight,which did not help.

    "I have no specific improvement recommendations to make. It is a very nice hotel and the staff were very poite and accommodating. Breakfast on Sunday morning was a bit chaotic becuse of the numbers of guests all arriving for breakfast at the same time but the staff worked very hard indeed. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the middle of it all so there was an evacuation but the staff coped very well. Well done!!" (97196495)

    "I had a most enjoyable two night's stay in this particular hotel, the staff were very friendly, greeted with a smile no matter what time of day or night, very helpfull and very professional, that includes the housekeeping ladies in the morning (my compliments to you all) The hotel itself had a nice friendly feel and eyecatching decor on arrival, clean and tidy throughout. The room was also of a high standard it was well lit and very comfortable, i sleept well. the room service was prompt and food was hot on arrival and very tasty.     I found the accommodation to be well laid out, the decor was plesant and the room was well lit, very comfortable, even the particular location of my room (211) was very plesant, with the trees and river right outside the window
