    Hotel facilities and restaurant very good. Room sizes and location also good

    Hotel looks a little dated. En-suit requires updating and possibly re-designing to allow more room for the toilet.

    Excellent restaurant - good offer of 2 dining for £45. Spacious room, beautiful views from the restaurant. Was in a secluded area so very scenic but also only a short drive to local shops etc. Indoor swimming pool and spa facilities.

    No free view so limited channels on the TV, bar closed early: but neither of these points would stop me booking again

    "Without question £45 for a room in a hotel this good is excellent value. Didn't try the Leisure club but the facilities looked excellent. Didn't eat in for no reason other than I like to try local pubs etc. When I saw that a night club was adjacent I was a little concerned but as it was a Sunday night it was closed so I have no idea if you would hear it or not. I doubt it as most of the rooms are the other side of the hotel. Had continental breakfast in my room which was fine." (108235807)

    Excellent value, good facilities, easy to get to.

    None really. Though I think £10.50 for a cooked breakfast is on the high side.

    "Excellent vaule, only 2 stops on the train to Chester. Would definately come back." (108775123)

    Could not fault the hotel in any way and the location was perfect, nice country walks on the doorstep and clean and helpful local district taxi drivers with the cost into the town only £3 and advice on hand for the best places to go.

    Hotel was excellent. Leisure facilities were good too. Lovely food in the restaurant. Wasn't far from Chester or Motorway which was great

    Clean hotel, good facilities

    Noisy drunks in next door room. Apparently "corporate guests"! Although I told reception on check-out that I had had no sleep because of the noise, no consideration was given to it and my bill remained the same. A discount should have been offered, at least.

    "The first thing that hits you is the really nice, warm and friendly receptionist, who was also very efficient. Our room was excellent, apart from a salmon pick bathroom suite which is not to our taste. Otherwise the room could not be faulted. We didn't eat at the hotel as we met friends who live locally at a restaurant in Frodsham (and got up too late for breakast!). We did have some late night drinks when we got back to the hotel with the night team opening the bar for us specially and nothing appeared to much trouble to them, even getting more ice at 1:30am. An excellent stay." (107513532)

    Large airey room with very comfy bed, really nice staff, very friendly atmosphere.

    Pink bathroom! (but perfect working order).

    "We had been out all day and just wanted a good meal and an early night watching some Saturday night TV. We were disappointed as we were told that the hotel was full and it was not possible for us to change rooms. This was clearly untrue as the hotel was clearly nowhere near full" (107754313)

    The food was very good and the res. staff were very young but very helpful. The wine list was very reasonable and a good idea to offer some cheaper priced wine.

    However our room was dirty and the television reception was so poor, on all channels that it wasn't worth watching. We reported both to the hotel recdeption but nothing was done aabout either

    Very Spacious Rooms, overall hotel was very clean. Very good value for money.

    Half eaten biccy on tea tray when we arrived. Outdated (but very clean) rooms.

    Hotel in general is a good standard apart from the room cleaning

    Stayed in room 94 the bedding had not been changed from the previous guest and smelled musty and had a stain. The fabric of the bathroom was poor, large cracks in the bath panel

    We were moved to the exsecutive suite due to our 1st room being very cold. The staff were really helpful and our new room was super.Smart and spacious.

    "There was a wedding function on at the same time and had it not been for the notice at the door we would never have known - excellent. Dinner menu was unusual and all very tempting - very good quantities too and good value - wish we could have stayed another night. Shame that the pool wasn't open at 7am to allow a swim before breakfast. Don't think there was mention of times on website. Facilities looked good. Hotel was clean and warm with no apparent need to upgrade (although work is about to start in reception/dining areas). Directions on website were a bit vague, but plenty of signposts kept us right to get to the hotel itself." (97490868)

    Convenient for our business venue, but quiet and relaxing atmosphere

    Air conditioning generator which went all night, the automatic air freshener which also went every 9 minutes all the time and the fact that the leisure facilities did not open until 8am - too late for us to use.

    "Booking good butfind it useful to have a contact number for the hotel prior to the booking. Accommodation and leisure facilities good - nice not to have to use key card to activate the lights. Only one dislike - the restaurant has a great view. I was the first customer at 07:30hrs on a quiet evening. I was placed in a seat with no view but when others arrived later they were ushered to the best locations. Did they book individual seats - I don't think so?" (97354630)
