    "It was my first visit to a Holiday Inn Express and it exceeded my expectations. Bright and clean accommodation. Pleasant staff. " (108373798)

    Very conveniently situated for the station and next to an excellent Italian restaurant. Clean room with basic but adequate facilities. Enjoyable and plentiful breakfast. No noise disturbance from other guests or from outside.

    Only one pillow per person available on the first night; we did, however, get extra pillows for the second night.

    For a budget hotel the rooms were spacious and comfortable, even with four of us in there. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee & tea making facilities & hairdryer in room were a bonus, as we didn't expect them. Breakfast was continental, but this was fully described in the booking details and more than adequate. Served in a light and airy dining area. Car parking facilities with easy access.

    The room was very warm, even with aircon on & it was too noisy to open the window during the night.

    Great location for the O2 Arena. Staff generally pleaseant. Buffet continental breakfast included in rate.

    Room very small for 2 adults and a 13 year old. Very basic room.

    Car Park was well lit and had a charming man who watched the cars all night. This was a great relief to us. All other staff we also found efficient and charming.

    Our only dissapointment was the over zealousness of Chambermaids to 'fold up and return to the towel rail' soaking rank trowels that had clearly been used again and again by other guests. This is what we found on our arrival. However, clean towels were provided readily on request.

    Friendly staff, easy check in and out. Clean room and check in/bar area.

    Had booked a twin room which turned out to be a double rooom with an additional sofa bed. There was not enough bedding for both beds. Breakfast was a little bland for a "continental", different cheeses and some cold meat products would be good.

    i was pleasantly surprised as how spacious and clean our room was as we only payed £61 for the room i was expecting well lets say just somewhere to get your head down for the night. The bed was more comfortable then my own so thats a first and the breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from for a continental breakfast. Staff were very helpful with the best directions.

    none for the hotel but london transport ie tube has a lot to be desired the jubilee line was a nightmare.

    Nice hotel - quick check in - great breakfast.

    Unfortunate that we couldn't use the phone in the room to make an 0800 calling card call without opening another line of credit for ₤20. I found that frustrating. Also, we had requested extra pillows on our internet reservation form, but did not have extra pillows in the room. When I went down to ask for them, I was told the hotel was "out of pillows."

    Very good service, nice touch being given vouchers for drinks when we arrived and also I forgot my toothbrush/paste which were given "complimentary" by the hotel.

    Price hike due to the Queen/Paul Rodgers concert at The 02. Will stay further afield next time.

    Excellent Reception staff on check in. Very pleasant and helpful. My details from my last visit were recorded and she recognised us.Parking was easy and with an attendant on duty plus CCTV, felt quite secure.Breakfast was included and was more than adequate. We ate an evening meal at the Italian restaurant next door - very convenient.

    Our room this time was at the front and the double glazing was not adequate to stop the traffic noise. Rooms overlooking the carpark do not suffer in this way.

    Nice spacious room, very clean and comfortable bed. Staff quite friendly and helpful and the information within the room regarding services etc was very helpful and thorough. Sky Sports 1 and 2 and Sky 1.

    Shower fixture was very loose and almost fell off the wall. Decor of room was nice but the tatty bedspread at the end of the bed let it down a bit. When checking in we were not told that we had to state extra services such as use of the telephone, this therefore caused problems when we wanted to use the room phone as reception had to set this up once we had called down to reception to query why is was not functional. Also we were not informed that we had to put the key card in the slot to power the electricity for the room, this wasted quite a bit of time trying to establish why the lights wouldn't work. The continental breakfast was quite poor, with guests having to toast their own toast in a toaster which was located on a table in the dining area, surely a contravention to health and safety as there were young children running around that could have pulled the toaster off the side.

    Not enough pillows. Shortage of tea, milk etc in room. Staff started to clear away breakfast before residents had time to finish.

    Continental breakfast offered, choices were a bit limited. Only two types of fruit available.

    "The hotel facilities fitted our needs perfectly as we were visiting the O2 Venue. The staff were efficient and when we report the problem with our TV it was fixed while we were out. Breakfast was amply and everything was fresh. It might be more helpful in the hotel details on the web if it advised customers using the tube to get off at Canning town, as it is only a short walk from there. Its a bit misleading when you get a map of the area as it looks closer to Victoria Docks. Other than that everything was fine." (97088809)

    "I was happy to spend the night and the hotel is very clean and very presentable. one tiny problem was that they didnot accept my debit card at the front desk as a prepayment method and insisted on a credit card which i found strange had i flown 500 miles and arrived with no credit card i would have been very unhappy at this" (97394935)

    overall value for money was good. good clean tidy room and a pleasure to spend the night in such a room

    Staff could have been slightly more helpfull and friendly. In two whole days spent in the hotel i think i only saw a member of staff twice.....check in and check out!!
