    "Good value for money for someone needing a short stay in a hotel near the stations. We didn't expect 5-star accommodation for the price, but were happy with what we got." (108512672)

    The gentleman at Reception was friendly and efficient. We were particularly pleased with the service by the ladies who provided breakfast (a bit earlier than scheduled) as we had to catch an early EuroStar train from St Pancras. Bed linen was of good quality and well-laundered.

    Toilet/shower room was a bit on the cramped side!

    Everything was very clean and nice and it was extremely well located for Kings Cross station, a very short walk away and near enough to leave my bag and pick it up before going for my train home. Reception staff pleasant and efficient.

    Only 1 towel and no bathmat so I couldn't shower and also wash my hair. Breakfast was perfunctory and served with little enthusiasm. There was no self service for fruit juice and cereal and no menu. I only knew about cereal because I wanted veggie and asked what there was. No other guests appeared to be offered or receive cereal. When they said yes to the 'full English' they got juice, toast and the cooked plate. Only one coffee and no offer of top up.

    clean bedroom and bathroom.Good service at breakfast.Food was sufficient.

    Room was very small.Hardly any room to move about-single file was the order of the day.Have seen cupboards larger than the bathroom!

    Helpful and friendly staff.

    Dinning room could be bigger with more tables so that more poeple could sit at any given time. This would be less stressful for the staff and in the long run a faster turn over would be acheieved.

    "I travelled with my Mother who is mid 70's. We didn't expect the Ritz and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The dining room staff were very efficient. This is a basic hotel but, if you are visiting on a budget it is excellent. My Mother has booked a return visit." (108613395)

    The hotel was in a great location, Kings Cross tube station just a few minutes walk which made the whole of London easily accessible. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast provided a good start to the day.

    Our stay was in a twin en-suite for the first night then, due to unavailability, we moved to a basic twin with shared facilities. The en-suite room was TINY! Although there was the inconvenience of having wait to use the toilet or shower room whilst staying in a basic room it was worthwhile as the room was much larger. We were lucky with our timings for breakfast and managed to get seated each morning but there really aren't enough tables for the amount of rooms. On our final day we had to share but, for us, this wasn't a major issue.

    the hotel staff were exellent. we had trouble finding our destination on our map and the kitchen staff at breakfast were very helpfull by bringing out their bug map and finding the street for us, overall one of the best hotels in it's class we have stayed at on our trip. Hello from Canada!

    the shower curtain was not long enough and the bathroom floor was flooded as a result. In the morning when everyone was using water the shower pulsed from freezing cold to boiling hot, resulting in more water being wasted as I had to jump aside and wait for the water to come to a more reasonable temperature.

    Central location and not expensive

    Rooms very small. Tv in bad location, and nowhere to sit in the room (other than the bed) to watch TV.

    Very convenient for Eurostar travellers.

    Lack of lift, smelly toilet down corridor and blown bulbs in lamp mean not for more fastidious or less fit travellers. Brteakfast rather mean.

    No lifts. We were given room on third floor and had to carry our luggage all the way up.

    Very good location for St Pancras Eurostar early trains if your live a fair distance from London. Good breakfast served quickly.

    Very small bedrooms and even smaller shower and toilet but then we were only staying for one night. No lift so older people might have problems with cases if not on the ground floor.

    Overall value for money as it was London, with reception maned until midnight. Clean, curteous and helpful with an excellent powerful modern shower

    The only downside is if you are in a hurry for breakfast, as the breakfast room is quite small and if you get there at the wrong time you have to queue. Probably only enough tables for a third of the guests (if full) at any one time, but the service is quick as the choice is limited but sufficient.
