"generally adequate but a little expensive for the class of accomodation. Mini bar was way to expensive, I would expect that the chocolate will go out of date before it was sold? especially at £2.35 for a 50p bar a margin is recognised for the convenience but not near 500%." (97065170)
I was suprised at the lack of cleanliness especially in the areas around the skirting boards and carpets. it was very dusty
Dust in the areas around skirting boards.For the ladies it was not practical to use hair straighteners alongside the TV as that was the only area with a socket

"The hotel was an excellent location. It was clean and tidy and good value for money. Especially friendly were the two barmen, mickey and rishit. They could not do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. They are very well trained and extremely approchable members of staff." (97652615)

"The television did not work properly, it kept returning to the 'Welcome Mr. Dooley' screen. There was some problems with my card on arrival, they were sorted but i was not happy with the way it was dealt with. I found it difficult to converse with the people on the front desk as they appeared to be much better at speaking to the foreign guests than speaking in english. As i had just arrived i wanted to get to my room and begin to relax, whatever the hold up with my card was should not have resulted in me standing around, i should have been welcomed in while the card was sorted by the employees and then if and only if payment could not be taken should i have had my vacation interrupted." Of a standard expected from a 4* Hotel
Tea/ Coffee facilities in the room disappointing. Travel Lodge's much better. Insulation from outside noise abysmal. Should not be able to hear normal conversations from street level on the 5th floor! Marble flooring on landings impractical from a noise point of view also.

newspapers were promised but not delivered, TCM movie channel suddenly wanted to charge for an old movie !!

"The price of the single room was expensive at £149 per night and this included an internet booking discount! Apart from the price for the size of the room the overall stay was excellent and the staff very helpful." (2630022)
Clean and pleasant surroundings. Excellent staff who make you feel welcome, right to the point of personally showing me to my room.

"I cant say anything bad about the accomodation cause it was lovely! The only thing that was a problem was how expensive it was to drink in the hotel bar. Two drinks cost alot of money and I would like to have been pre warned about that. Overall, everything was fantastic and would really recommend this hotel." (1747540)
The room was lovely, big comfy bed and fantastic bathroom! Very cosy.
The room was smaller than expected.

The staff were very helpful in giving directions on request.
My stay at the hotel was a special treat for my daughter's 30th Birthday which I feel was ruined by my experience on the morning of check out. I was told that I had not paid for breakfast in the restrant when clearly from my booking confirmation I had. We were eventually allowed to take breakfast in the hotel at no extra cost but I was very embarrased by this episode and very dissapointed.
