    "I seriously do not moan very much about hotels, however I feel for the money we spent we did not get the kind of room we hoped for. " (107304805)

    *Location

    *Only one very small lift. *Room was freezing cold. *Tele was tiny and had no remote control. *Toilet roll was not stocked. *No milk for tea/coffee. *Blood on the carpets and bed sheet... *Cleaner came in at 5pm and we were made to stand outside our room until he had finished.

    We stayed in the Marlborough which although still being worked on did not spoil or disturb our stay at all, staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, the room was sumptious and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on.

    You could say workmen in the hallways were a bad point but we were not disturbed at all and everyone was very courteous.

    quiet, excellent location, very comfortable bed

    no reading light above bed, cold room, would add a sheer white curtain in addition to the one that blocks out the light, slow elevator used for guests as well as hotel staff, breakfast staff had a few inattentive members

    The room was in an excellent location and the price was very good also. Very pleased with the condition of the room and the space provided.

    Was not able to get the TV to work. It was a bit tempremental, but we were not there for the TV (Theatre). We did get the TV to work the following morning. It was not broken.

    Clean hotel and room

    Non smoking room smelt dreadfully of smoke. (we have had to dry clean all the clothes in the wardrobe) Room was not ready on arrival, ended up upgrading just to get a room. Extractor fan in the bathroom was broken The airconditioning controls were impossible to use. Sat on hold for over 5 minutes to speak to the concierge who then told me that he wouldn't order a taxi for me.

    Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were updated and clean. Loved the universal outlet for out of country tourists and the converters if needed.

    In my fist room the shower head was hanging through the plaster and the shower backed up. Moved to a new room, however the phone would not make calls out.

    Located by the British Museum within easy reach of lots of interest, but relatively quiet. Nice bar.

    The hotel was being painted and smelled strongly of paint in the lobby. The room was very tiny - the bed took up all the floor space. For 135 pounds, it seemed too pricey for what it was.

    Quiet and peaceful.

    There were no instructions for setting the phone to give an alarm call, although I'm sure it could be done. When turning the TV to radio, a commercial station with loud rap music automatically came on, what ever station I had last been listening to. Radio 4 was on setting 3, slightly confusing. The notice on the minibar saying that if an item was moved, it would appear on the bill was unpleasant. I put a sandwich in the fridge and wondered if I would suddenly be charged for touching a miniature bottle without actually removing it.

    Central situation, close to tube. Very good breakfast

    Room very small, almost claustrophobic, with bed being too close to door connecting to outside corridor. Very poor selection of toiletries, considering 4 star hotel.

    "hotel offers excellent value for money, with polite service and good range of amenities. evening meal let the side down (untidy presentation of main course/uncooked dessert served!)but attractive range of buffet style breakfast food. had problems finding a taxi outside after desk receptionist had advised that one could not be summonsed directly to hotel. deluxe room was a good size, well equipped, clean and comfortable.     It could be easier to find especially for people arriving by car. The name of the hotel is barely shown - a flag or sign on the corner with the name would help. Directions for car arrivals would help especially as Great Russell Street`s traffic gets disorganised by Bloomsbury St. I asked in two different shops on Museum St (50yds from the hotel) where the hotel was and no one could tell me.

    "We were extremely dissatisfied with the room we were initially placed in as to say it was tiny would be an understatement. It would have been impossible for my boyfriend and I to have stayed there for the whole weekend and been remotely comfortable, as it was in effect - a glorified shoebox. We asked if we could be placed in a different room and we were moved immediately without any hesitation from the lady at reception. I would recommend the hotel because of it's location. The staff at reception are very helpful and obliging - we were made welcome from the time we arrived, but the rooms are very small, the price of breakfast is extortionate (" (3304314274)

    The fact the hotel is so Central to everything was brilliant.

    The Cleaning staff in the morning were extremely noisy. We were woken on both mornings at 8 am by lots of shouting and laughing down the hallways.... not exactly what you expect on a relaxing weekend away - bedroom walls are way too thin for that!!

    "There was no problems at all, booking on the internet I knew where the hotel was, and could see the type of hotel I was booking. Possibly better pictures of the types of rooms, but there was absolutely no dissapointment on arrival. Our thanks to everyone for making the experience delightful." (2304096)

    "The hotel was good value for money and the room I stayed in was fairly spacious for a single room in Central London. However, my only negative points regarding this hotel was that the room rate did not in breakfast and my room was very noisy due to outside traffic." (1730412)

    Centrally located and good value for money.The hotel was clean and modern, unlike other London hotels I've stayed in.

    The room rate did not include breakfast.The noise at night from outside was terrible and did not abate until 4am.

    The best bit was getting automatically upgraded to an executive suite for both rooms booked. Staff helpful, rooms clean
