    "fairly enjoyable hotel stay" (107883855)

    Lovely bar food,beautiful location, helpful reception staff,very nice breakfast and excellent staff attention in the dining room

    leisure facilities are only fair- dingy looking, no jacuzzi, like an afterthought to hotel. staff in the spa were not very informative of facilities. function room on level 4 (i think) there was a party on the sat night with disco and the noise level on the third floor was unbelievable till after 2 am.

    Breakfast

    No heating in room. Noisy due to wedding guests. Leisure facilities were poor and expensive.

    Enjoyed the restaurant, pleasant ambience

    "The hotel was lovely, with all facilities available. The choice of menu in both the bar and restaurant was excellent. The roof top restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and views. The staff were all very helpful at all times. The hotel offered very good value for money.Overall, we had a lovely weekend." (3304531732)

    Facilities were excellent. Staff were helpful and courteous. Peaceful and quiet setting but close to the main town.

    "We had had a long journey up from Killarney via Limerick to Westport. The first room (114)we were allocated we rejected because of the noise from an extractor duct that ran up the wall adjacent to the window. The second room (315)was no better as the air conditioning ducts over the fitness centre exhausted into the quadrangal and meant that even with the windows closed the noise in the room was unacceptable. In addition there was a sqeaking noise from the elivator adjacent to the room. We complained about the a/c noise and were told that there was nothing that could be done and the noise persisted until well after 11.00 pm in the evening. I complained in the morning and the manager was very polite and efficient and did apologise stating that she would look into these issues. Our view is that the hotel is over priced for what it has to offer. Both rooms were family rooms and if the hotel was in the States would be charged out at a room rate Not a rate per occupant. We would not recommed this hotel to any friends as an ideal place to stay even for more than an overnight stop as we had." (2586224)

    Hotel in pleasant location but with limited external evening facilities such as nearby restaurants and is a long walk to the town itself.

    Leisure centre facilities were good.

    I thought Breakfast in Bed was Fair, when it arrived on the Sunday morning, it was cold

    "Enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the Atlantic Coast Hotel. Requested a sea view and got room at the front of the Hotel. What I didnt realise was Hotel only overlooks small part of Clew Bay, not the Atlantic Ocean. Had I known that in advance, I do not think I would have gone or spent so much money for a special birthday weekend." (2151529)

    Liked the Blue Wave Restaurant for dinner, food was lovely if a little expensive.

    For 4*Hotel, workmanship was disappointing eg stairwell wallpaper and external wastepipe in ladies toilet downstairs.

    Clean and comfortable. Pleasant accommodation/cleaning staff. Pleasant receptionists. Good location. Adequate parking behind hotel and outside on the main road.

    Check out in the morning. 1 receptionist on telephone,waited 5 minutes. Customers must take priority over phone calls.

    Very dissapointing breakfast, found a foreign object in our breakfast. I know it happens, and duty manager did apologise!

    Had difficulty finding the hotel, most other hotels had signposts throughout the town!
