    Parking during day...ok at night. Early check in although requested not available...1 hour requested.

    Clean, spacious room (if a little dated) with very friendly staff. Location was excellent for exploring York and has onsite parking which is a big plus.

    Nothing major - our room had an electric shower with very water pressure but adequate.

    Your staff were wonderful, extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. An asset to your company. Breakfast was good quality and very enjoyable.

    Not much storage room in the bathroom for overnight toilet bags. A lift for elderly people to the upper floors would be helpful but I can't see where you could fit one in.

    Good situation, room adequate for our needs. Food reasonable

    We enjoyed our stay but one member of staff got off on the wrong foot when we arrived by not asking us who we were. When she knew that she understood that we had arranged to check-in early as we had to be at a do. She didn't apologise for her mistake and was quite abrasive.

    Need to provide options for the vegeterian guest. Need to provide better quality toliteries and soaps considering that £ 75 per night for a double room is not Cheap

    stayed at Lady Anne Middleton's a few times before for a short break. have always found it to be a cosy and friendly place , an oasis so close to the centre of a busy city.

    Dated rooms and decor generally. Much-vaunted pool actually tiny. Breakfast disappointing

    Staff were excellent and a very relaxed freindly atmosphere. The location is excellent and only a five minute walk to the centre of York

    No real bad points pool a little small but good for a family with young children to splash around.

    fantastic location, lovely grounds, clean with modernised bathroom, quiet. friendly and helpful staff

    room was a bit dated and small, though others we were with had large rooms, so was just our luck I think. But it was enough for what we needed as we didn't spend much time in it, and didn't impact on my view of the hotel or our stay

    5 mins walk from middle of york, everyone very helpful and friendly, very surprised as hotel is only 2 star and should be at least 3

    Location is good, ambience is good. Seats/tables are available outside and the garden is a pleasant place to spend time in good weather. Hotel food is good with an acceptable range of choice.

    Food service is friendly but can be slow and dirty pots could be removed quicker. Mattress in "our" room was well past its best and there was no clock in the room.

    "We stayed for 2 nights with friends from different parts of the country and it was a good base to see York. Once in back in the hotel at night it was good for a drink and lovelly restaurant meal." (107455387)

    The bar in reception and the restaurant at night were very good.

    The rooms in the main part of the hotel were a bit bland and shoe boxy. The breakfast was quite good on the first morning but portions on second morning were very poor.

    Situation of hotel near to York centre very convenient. Food excellent- special offer meal very good value, breakfast good. Staff friendly. Service excellent. Free car parking.

    Room we stayed in was a bit dated and in need of modernisation. No lift in this part of the hotel. There are rooms in a number of buildings so other rooms may be better.

    Room was spotlessly clean, staff were efficient and helpful, complimentary bottle of wine provided for anniversary celebration, breakfast good, liked the quirkeness of the old listed building.

    Room was a little on the small side and in need of a bit of a refurb- the ceiling tiles are 80's polysterene! Also the couple upstairs were extremely noisy but thar's obviously not the fault of the hotel and they dealt with it straight away when asked. I did feel for the quality of the room the tarriff was a little expensive- for £95 I would generally expect a higher standard.

    well positioned for York town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean with some lovely features. Car park very convenient as you can walk to anywhere in York. Nice resturant and bar.

    Good position, close to shops yet quiet; we walked from the railway station; friendly staff

    Breakfast service not well timed - hot food brought to table whilst still eating cereal. Room a tad chilly on arrival and no obvious instructions re how to operate wall heater.

    Reception staff really welcoming. My English breakfast, and kippers my wife had were delicious.

    Breakfast service a bit below expectation with staff forgetting to bring tea, and then it wasn't piping hot. Rooms a bit quirky and furnished with old furniture and lino in bathroom. In need of a bit of a re-furb, but sort of charming.

    It was quiet and the location was good. I was very useful to have use of free carpark up until 2pm the next day.

    We were hoping to have a double room, but only got a twin. The room and TV were quite small.
