    Very Friendly, Helpful Staff. Good Breakfast.

    I feel mean saying it but we booked a junior suite and it just seemed like a larger double ensuite room with a cheap sofa.

    "This hotel is in beautiful grounds, but only 3 miles from Stansted airport, the staff are very friendly, our evening meal was excellent. The service at breakfast, and the choice of food could not be faulted. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean and spacious, you do not need to take anything for the bathroom except toothpaste & toothbrush, we were very impressed, and would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family, an excellent way to start your journey from Stansted."     The hotel is only 3 miles from Stansted Airport but in the most beautiful rural countryside setting, we would have been happy to stay there for a week.

    There was absolutely nothing at all to dislike about this hotel.

    "A good Hotel to stay in for an overnight stopover at the airport. The Standard was good " (97618574)

    Location was nice and quiet considering it is close to an airport. Set in parkland surrounded by trees. The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable.

    Bar menu not very good with little choice, however food was OK but nothing outstanding. The restaurant menu looked more interesting but was quite pricey

    Wonderful & cultured surrounding. Generously spaced rooms with aggreeable atmosphere.

    The restaurant is not recommendable. Short menu & bad kitchen quality.

    "I was very happy - I have stayed a few times recently & the staff are helpful & efficient. Parking is easy & appears secure - distance to airport is just fine. A very good business traveller experience." (97252693)

    Comfortable, good to have a bath with an excellent shower. Easy internet access on room bill (look forward to you following your US lead & being free!). Room quiet & well-equipped, good selection of TV channels

    "was unimpressed with the parking, my car was used over the weekend other than taking it to and bringing it back from secure parking!! i had enough fuel for about 168 miles, to get us back to swindon, when i collected the car there was only enough fuel for 99 miles! and all the rear seat belts were undone, since i have had the car there has always been 2 done up."     Nice landly hotel with good food and clean room

    The punctuality of the staff when we should leave. Breakfast was 15 minutes late and we could not eat because we had to catch the flight.

    "This hotel just seemed a stepping stone to Stanstead, was clean and basic, but was in a 1980's time warp. Didn't feel warm and welcoming - staff were very helpful, but owners need to stay themselves to feel, what is lacking. Basic hotel but could be re-vamped to give the traveller a relaxed time before moving on." (99080106)

    "Very close to the airport,which was the main reason we chose it.Pleasantly situated in it's own grounds. Staff very friendly and helpful.We only stayed overnight,and as there was a large party booked in for dinner, we didnt use the restaurant,so can't speak about the food.(we found a very good Indian restaurant in nearby Bishop stortford)Would be happy to use this hotel again, and certainly will if ever flying from stansted."     Convenience for Stansted. Large bed. Quiet rooms. Polite and efficient reception staff.

    Evening meal - very little choice and very expensive. Breakfast! We booked in after midnight so went down for breakfast at 9:20 (breakfast available until 10.00). Cooked items dried out and sat in grease. No eggs or tomatoes until after we had dished ourselves and were eating. Toast cold. No butter etc on tables. Milk in jug has scum mark around the jug where the milk had been - the level of milk was lower so we had obviously been left a jug from a previous user. Very little choice. We had to go and find someone each time we needed something. Another couple at an adjacent table had the same problem and were making the decision not to use this hotel again.

    "The grounds are very nice and we were pleased with how clean and quiet the room was. The food and service at the breakfast buffet was dissapointing because they ran out of certain things and the quality was poor." (99531412)

    Clean room and very quiet.

    No air conditioning but a fan was supplied which was adequate for cooling. The food at the breakfast buffet was terrible. The eggs were quickly used up and not replaced for twenty minutes after having to ask for more. Then they brought out a meager supply which was not enough for the number of people there. The coffee was weak and the grapefruit tasted aweful. Fortunately we were not charged for this food for if we had been I would have refused to pay for it. The taxi we arranged for the morning was not there and they had to call for it.

    The hotel was very nice. We checked in very late and left early, so we didn't get an opportunity to see much of the hotel.

    The room felt like a regular room, not a junior suite.

    The hotel is convenient, quiet, well equipped & well maintained. Staff were friendly & helpful, check in was quick & painless. Room was comfortable, clean & comfortably furnished.

    In common with most business travellers I like free wireless internet access readily available as in the US & in increasing numbers in Europe.It would be a factor in choosing over another brand

    "This hotel is only a 10(GBP) taxi ride from stansted airport, but it does have an excellent reduced rate for the airport parking. If I had known i would have arrangements to i could have taken advantage of this and parked at the airport. The room has absolutely everything; trouser press, iron, hairdryer, toiletries and sky tv. The staff were all wonderfully pleasant and efficient." (99960643)

    It was comfortable, quiet and had everything I required.

    The onsite restaurant had little variety and was horrendously over priced.
