    central, clean, no fuss, lovely peroid building.

    room was tiny. Bathroom was like some prefabricated box taken from a train. You could sit on Loo and have a shower at same time!! very efficient if ur German maybe. The shower water didnt even fully drain away from floor so ur slopping around in 2 day old water by the time u check out. lovely image eh.

    Alles war vorhanden, sauber und ordentlich

    Der relativ hohe Preis steht in keinem Verhältnis zu der Winzigkeit des "Studios". Das Bad ist mit seinen knapp 1 qm eine Zumutung. Die Größe der Unterkunft entspricht nach eigenen Erfahrungen nicht dem europäischen Standard.

    The staff and support staff were very helpful

    I guess climbing the stairs was a bit difficult at times although it was not something I needed to do more than a couple of times a day.

    Location--close to tube station, groceries, restaurants, museums, etc. Room--adequate size; much bigger than other hotels at same price; bathroom was the modular one and it was not too small like other hotels but it was functional. Kitchenette--I didn't cook, but the fact that I can, is really good. Fan--some hotels in London don't even have one and it was a warm weekend when I was there. The fan came in handy. Bed--I was in a single room, but the bed was a double. Two people could have slept in this room.

    Not a major one, but the TV is too small. And there are not a lot of channels. Also, no lifts and I was on the top floor, but wasn't really a problem for me.

    "I would have liked to have known the room layout before I came down. As above, I recommended the hotel following a visit in 2004 where I stayed in the basement room of 31 Rosary Gardens as a party of four. This visit was in 39 Rosary Gardens and was a party of 3. None of us could get over the size of the bathroom ie. shower right next to toilet with no specific partition!! However, I would stay again because of location and cleanliness of hotel only if I knew exactly the room layout. I wouldn't want to stay in this room again." (97582837)

    I liked the location of the hotel close to shops, restaurants, tube station. Street was in a very nice, quiet location but only 5-7 minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel was clean and staff friendly.

    I was very disappointed with the room due to the smallness of the bathroom. I had previously stayed with Astons in 2004 as a group of 4 and had no complaints and recommended the hotel to other friends. However, on this visit with my mother and sister, I wouldn't recommend the hotel because of the bathroom. I would only stay again if I knew exactly what my room was going to be like.

    "When we arrived the room was not ready. A maid had to urgently vacuum clean it. She did not have any basket for fresh towels, so she dropped them on the floor in the corridor while cleaning rooms. Not very hygienic. Although the overall experience was ok, next time I would try and look for something a bit better." (97977143)

    Excelent location.

    1. Room overlooking Rosary Gdns. Therefore traffic noise. 2. Old electric heating produce some clicking sound when heating up or cooling down. This is a bit annoing at night. 3. Wireless internet was abailable but the signal was very poor.

    "Have stayed many times because of location and value for money. Disappointed in general maintenance on this occasion.     Location excellent. Tube, museums, restaurants. Value for money. Kitchen facility useful for breakfast.

    Sash windows rattled loudly all night so got little sleep. Toilet seat loose and lid collapsed onto my back causing painful bruising.

    "My mother and I were traveling on holiday, but I will certainly return to Astons on future business trips. We were delighted with the efficiency and cleanliness of the unit. The kitchenette facilities were outstanding and anticipated our every need, with the possible exception of a little saucepan and more than one teaspoon!     An excellent value and efficient self-catering accommodation in a superb location in London. All needs were anticipated. I will certainly return.

    Pretty noisy on Rosary Gardens. Will probably request a room at the rear next time. Would like to see one upholstered chair in the room for reading/TV watching.

    "Poor air ventilation for venting kitchen odours. Would seriously reconsider our next stay at Astons as cooking is almost next to impossible without proper exhaust fans. The room carpet is like walking on glue paper. Torn sheets on bed. Too many steps. Lugging baggage two or three flights of stairs is not our idea of a holiday. Would have been better if we were told that bags have to be carried up three floors without the use of an elevator." (3304623692)

    "Being well acquainted with single rooms in London hotels, I was not shocked by the microscopic size of this one. However, squeezing a kitchenette and private bathroom into the already cramped space is a bit much. Using the toilet, you touch the shower curtain, and you're constantly banging elbows and other appendages. The clothes closet holds about three hangers and that's it. Given that the house is clean and pleasant and the location excellent, this is a tolerable option for a short stay, but you can get more space for about the same price in hotels nearby " (99347117)

    1. Location - Elegant South Ken. Close to Tube, handy for Heathrow and West End, and all facilities nearby. 2. Building - Has the feel of a well-preserved Victorian home as you enter and climb the stairs. More a guest house feeling than hotel.

    Size of room - Typical tiny London hotel single room. No furniture to speak of. Bathroom little more than a closet.

    "Everything else ok; STG75 inclusive of taxes was fairly good value for money in the expensive City of London. The hotel is close to Gloucester underground station, making connectivity with areas of interest easy and convenient; there are also museums nearby (Victoria and Albert, Natural History).     "Overall, my stay was excellent. The hotel is in a wonderful neighborhood, close to the tube station. Also near to good supermarkets and restaurants. The apartment was cleaned everyday, and a good value for the money. For people who wish to stay in and eat, there is a workable cooker, fridge, and microwave. Staff are courteous and helpful .Housekeeping staff make sure the studio apartments are serviced daily .Secure entry and cctv in operation in shared areas .     Very well looked after-secure-clean-handy for tube and museums in the area-good selection of eating places a short walk away .

    North Atlantic ferry style shower/toilet unit-like a small wet room but can't complain for a few nights stay-all kept in immaculate condition.

    "GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY - THE MAIN ROOM PROVIDED US WITH ENOUGH SPACE FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR - THERE WERE EVEN FACILITES FOR AN ADDITIONAL GUEST WITH A FOLD OUT BED IN A CUPBOARD. THE KITCHEN ALTHOUGH SMALL WAS ADEQUATE AND ALL NECESSARY EQUIPMENT WAS PROVIDED TO COOK SIMPLE MEALS. THE ROOMS WERE CLEANED EVERY DAY AND FRESH BEDDING AND TOWELS PROVIDED. STAFF WERE POLITE AND HELPFUL AND THE FREE INTERNET ACCESS WAS EXTREMELY USEFUL.     GOOD LOCATION - NOT TOO FAR FROM THE TUBE AND LOTS OF LOCAL SHOPS TO PURCHASE FOOD FOR OUR SELF CATERING FACILITY. WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF MUSEUMS.

    IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD TO HAVE SMALL BOTTLES OF SHAMPOO IN THE BATHROOM AS I FORGOT MINE. THE TELEVISION REMOTE CONTROL WAS BROKEN AND WE COULD NOT ACCESS ANY SKY CHANNELS.

    "The rooms were extremely efficient. The small kitchenette provided visitors with the use of a micro-wave, a two burner stove, toaster, kettle, and fridge. Ideal for preparing breakfast and/or microwaveable dinner snacks. The rooms at the back where we faced over-looked a lovely garden, and those at the front faced a quiet neighboorhood street. At no time were we disturbed by noises from any other units or people in the hallways. Astons does not have a lift, so if you have difficulty climbing stairs, do ask for a room on the street or first floor level. All in all, Astons affords excellent value for the cost. Those at reception were most welcoming." (1494289)

    The location was excellent. Close to three tube stops Gloucester, South Kensington, and Earls Court). Very clean, quiet and safe neighbourhood, with lovely restaurants, shops, and pubs.

    We were not in any way disappointed with what Astons offered. As with many accomodations in England , the bathroom was by no means large, and its sink was a tad compact. However, the all-in one modular make-up of the facility is present in all the standard rooms, and is very suitable for short term stays.

    "Ha sido casi como experimentar el vivir en una casa (por cierto muy bonita)en el centro de Londres, pues en nuestra estancia no nos cruzamos con nadie de los allí hospedados. Además pudimos gozar de algo que hoy en día no puede la mayoría de los humanos, y es dormir en un entorno absolutamente silencioso, lo que permite un descanso total. Sí nos hubiera gustado que nos recordaran lo de los enchufes trifásicos, ya que como españoles, debemos recordar llevar un adaptador.Tiene una estación de metro muy cerca y justo en frente una tienda de 24 horas con comida preparada que soluciona desayunos y cenas."     "Booking the accommodation from Australia via the internet you always wonder wether the photos and information is truthful. At first we thought the accommodation was very small but a quick unpack a rearrangement of the table and chairs it proved to be a real gem.The location for sigtseeing was great. It was so quiet.
