    Good setting, easy access,

    Obvious and significnat trip hazard at the entrance to reception - I stood at the bar for about an hour and saw numerous stumbles and one complete fall. If that represents an average hour there must be hundereds of stumbles and falls a year IT NEEDS A RAMP!If one of the elderly guests fell it could have been seriosu - I mentioned it to the lady working the bar and her reply was 'oh she had probably been drinking'utterly incredible.

    bad smell, hallway carpet is disgusting, room especially bathroom 10 years overdue an update, cold water, breakfast was a joke for £16 ! does anyone ever sample the breakfast

    Very helpful, friendly staff and efficient service in the hotel. Very good value for money. Rooms large and well-equipped. Bed linen and towel very clean.

    Area around the bathroom sink was not spotless - but only watermarking, nothing sinister. Shower was a bit erratic - pressure and temperature. Service in the Time Out bar VERY slow and it took 15 minutes to find out what the soup of the day was, by which time we didn't have time to eat anything.

    excellent leisure facilities. Good attentive staff in the restaurant.

    The corridors - reminiscent of Stalag Luft 19!! Desparately in need of a face-lift/lick of paint/TLC/demolition - as was my room.

    Meal we had in the restaurant was very good and staff were very helpful.

    The receptionist could not find my booking as for some reason it was in my Christian name instead of my surname. Was hoping for a double bed but was given two singles. Cover to the tv remote was missing and difficult to change channels.

    Excellent meal on first night, having got lost en route, and being guided by the manager over the phone, and the table booked for us.

    A pity the menu was identical on the second, though it was still a good experience.

    As already reported on the card provided, the en suite shower was inoperable, just cold water despite advice. Hairdryer positively dangerous!!

    room had a tired feel to it. despite the clean sheets it could have had a fresher smell and feel. breakfast was too expensive and costs should be split with less charged for continental offering.

    spacious and quiet location

    room and corridors had a very strong smell of damp, breakfast pricing ridiculously overpriced. Our booking form on internet confirmed two nights. Reception had us down for one night. Good job they weren't full.

    "A friendly welcome was received at the reception with good information about the facilities. Relaxed evening in the bar area and good food in the restaurant (I recommend the Honey Glazed Lamb cooked to perfection). I had a good nights sleep in confortable bed and quiet location." (108475687)

    Friendly staff and good food. Free internet access.

    Pool and changing rooms in need of refurbishment. Poor mobile phone reception.

    "I have never experienced anything qute like it!!. The first room smelt and brought me out in an allergic rash, 2nd room had no remote and the TV didnt work, 3rd room hadnt had the sheets changed and the bathroom cleaned, 4th room the shower didnt work and had no towels, 5th room the shower screen had no seal so all the water from the shower made the floor like a swimming pool. The food was terrible, had a slice of lime in my drink which was brown!!!!" (108749296)

    As it is located just out side of Bristol, it is convenient and quiet to stay. Room and all facilities are installed very well. It gives very good oppotunity for the family stay with sports activities.

    It might due to busy days, reception is not so friendly as expected.

    Very pleasant staff, excellent facilities and bar meals were very good value. Very clean throughout.

    Breakfast at £15.95 was poor value. I would have expected plated service for this, not a running buffet that had probably been 'out' for quite some time. And we had to go searching for someone to ask for tea and coffee as no-one saw us to our seats or asked if we wanted a drink. Also our table was partially 'cleared' within minutes when we went to get some toast. This was almost 40 mins before breakfast was due to finish and we were one of only 2 couples in the breakfast room so it wasn't as if there was a great rush.

    The gym was well equipped. Good choice at breakfast.

    I don't think women on there own should be given rooms on the ground floor especially as the windows fully open. When you go to a Travel Inn they always put women on the 1st Floor and also never say the room number out loud when you are checking which is what happened when I checked in at Redwood. The lightling in the room was very poor - probably because of the energy efficient bulbs - making it very hard to read unless sat right under a lamp.

    Good clean hotel ith good facillities

    Told restaurant was very busy but could squeeze us in at 8.15 not 8 as we wanted but when we arrived only 2 tables were occupied and only another3 during our meal

    Equipment in room not working. Staff didn't seem to understand English very well. Didn't get our wake up call. Wrong newspaper. Dirty bathroom. Sky TV and info service not working. When discussed with management there was no come back. We think the price for breakfast was excessive.

    The room was clean and well maintained.

    Very disappointed that the Garden restaurant was unavailable on BOTH evenings. We could understand why on the Saturday because there was a wedding taking place but no reason given for the Sunday. It would have been nice to have been informed before we arrived. Luckily the Sports Bar served food.

    Poor restaurant. The breakfast was appaling and at £15.75 with no option for a continental was restrictive.

    "As above the hotel smelled of must and damp. The carpets were dirty. In the morning the staff at breakfast seemed totally lethargic and gave poor service. It clearly is pitching itself as a cheap conference hotel - although the standard B & B rate is not cheap for the awful standard of the place" (97092738)

    The only redeeming feature was that it was close to my final destination

    The worst thing was the overall smell of the hotel. In particular the guest wing and my room were very musty, almost as if there had been a flood and it was drying out

    "I had to send the Beef Stoganoff back. The meat was so tough I couldn't eat any of it. The choice of food has gone down over the last year.     "This hotel is excellent surroundings and just 20 mins (during rush hour) from Bristol City centre. I do not normally sleep well in a strange bed but not here. I had a great nights sleep in a very clean & modern room." (97101454)

    excellent value for money, modern rooms with comfortable bed, good food

    downstairs decor is slightly dated but not something I disliked.
