    "Not sure I would book this hotel again!! " (108934684)

    The receptionist when we arrived was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us.

    The room we orignally were given was occupied. We walked in to find clothes in the wardrobe and toiletries on the dressing table and hairdryer on the bed. In the restaurant on the night of our stay my husband asked for water with his meal and was brought a big bottle where a small one would have been adequate. When we arived for breakfast the following morning we were told that we were booked as 'room only'. I had paid for B&B.

    Hotel amazing and did not resemble a Travel lodge. Staff extremely accomodating. The front of the Hotel was used in the film "The devil rides out" which gave it extra Kudos. The grounds were fanatastic and the noise levels from London was minimum. Great views over to Wembley. Very handy as we were visiting friends in Stanmore. Will defeinitely stay again when visiting Stanmore.

    "Overall, it was a disappointing stay. The hotel is geared up for it's conferencing and wedding facilities, which seemed to be very popular. This does not seem to be a 4 star hotel for the longer stay guest with its lack of basic requirements that one would expect to find in a 4 star establishment, such as a bar fridge and information for day trips, shopping, doctors, taxis at your fingertips."     One of the most comfortable beds we have slept in in any hotel. The room cleaning was excellent. The reception staff very helpful and professional.

    No facilities at all at the hotel e.g Pool,Gym,GiftShop/Pharmacy. There was also a lack of information regarding local interests and the local ares generally. The room was not set up for a long term stay - there was no bar fridge,no airconditioning for cooling,and very limited hanging space in the wardrobe. The TV was restricted in choice of channels. There was no DVD, CD, clock or radio. The 10 Acres of ground were wasted by the lack of paths to walk, and very few seats to rest on. The rear of the grounds were quite neglected, and the lake was an eyesore. The fine dining facilities were over priced and over fussy. A cheaper dining option would have been appreciated.

    bed linen covered in fluff. Clean enough but the fluff got all over your clothes if you sat on the bed

    Online reservation received by hotel only included my colleague's room (although booked both together myself) but Hotel Manager handled extremely well and offered me an upgrade to a suite as an apology. Beautiful building and setting Staff all helpful and friendly

    Staff very polite and helpful. I arrived just after 9:30 and the kitchen was closed but they re-opened to make me a club sandwich which was delicious. Many places would not have done that. Good breakfast selection

    We arrived at night and saw the lovely Christmas lights outside which was very pretty. As soon as you enter the hotel it is cosy and welcoming. The staff couldn't be more helpful from Reception to Restaurant/Bar staff

    We arrived on 19th November to be met by a barrage of Christmas songs in the reception/restaurant and bar. - Way too early and no escape. To be fair the next 2 days the music was changed to orchestral and jazz which was far more soothing!! When booking on line thought the cost of the room was taken out from my credit card, and was confused to find we were charged again when leaving. I have been assured that my credit card details were taken initially as a guarantee. I await my credit card bill !!

    Clean and comfortable

    No larger than a travel lodge and no easy chairs. Had expected a little more luxery/ larger room in a country house judging from the picture on the website but was disappointed to be in modern annexe.

    Good value - very comfortable room, helpful staff, nice breakfast. Having previously lived in the area I knew that the hotel was "different" and had an interesting history having been used in many films over the years. Which bedroom did the famous Italian actress use when she stayed there?

    Poor selection of tv channels in our room.

    A beautiful old building - very unusual, it felt like it had real character. The staff were very friendly; the porter in particular. Breakfast was good.

    The room was quite small and the furnishing rather old-fashioned.

    "There were two weddings on that day so the hotel was very busy - it took over 20min from putting our breakfast order in and being served (there was only one other couple ordering a cooked breakfast. At lunch which we ordered at 3pm it took over 40min to make two sandwiches. If we'd been on a tigher timetable this would have been a problem, but the staff did let us know and were very polite and helpful." (3305288161)

    "im deaf myself...i order breakfast from room and leave message for overnite breakfast list times etc...example i order 7 15am...i though leave breakfast outside but realise outside person knocking the door and i cant hear at all..the person try knock and come back 3 times i know...Need to be awarance if anyone is deaf!...maybe somwthing wave paper under the door..the person look not pleased and i told im deaf...in future be awarance some people cant hear the door" (3305284319)
