    "I visit Swindon several times a year for 1 or 2 night stays on business. After trying several hotels in the area I have settled on the Madison because of its good unpretentious quality, pleasant staff, good service, good value compared with others and good (free) wifi." (108248104)

    This is a down to earth, good value, middle market hotel. The place is clean and has a good atmosphere and all the staff I met have a positive attitude are pleasant and are keen to help. Whilst not for gourmets the restaurant has a good selection of quality food that can be enjoyed - well beyond 'chips with everything'. Excellent free WiFi availability in bedrooms.

    Rooms not very large, but they are clean and well maintained.

    patio heaters did not work and was cold in the room with no option to heat it. double bed uncomfotable

    Food was excellent. So much so that, besides dinner on arrival, we chose to have lunch after the event and setting off to the airport.

    My only disappointment was the fact that a full breakfast only started at 0800 which restricted us to continental room service since my appointment was for 0830.

    Friendly and obliging staff at the hotel.

    When calling the phone number provided on the reservation confirmation, the person replying didn't even know the hotel name. It seemed to be a kind of call centre. So, it would help, if the phone number of the front desk of the hotel is given.

    Had no record of my reservation when I arrived. Pillows very badly stained - when asked reception changed them immediately

    the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed 1 evening for the Radio one big weekend and had a very comftable stay. breakfast was very nice too.

    Staff friendly. Not very often you get a call to your room just after check-in that you get a curtisy call asking if everthing is okay with your room :0)

    Not really a bad point but when I received the email confirmation, it stated that check-out was at 12 noon and got a shock when reception called at 11:30 to say check-out was at 11. Clarification needs to be addressed.

    Good size room, reasonably clean

    Slight disappointment with the bathroom, wallpaper looked very tired.

    The cleanliness of the room, the excellent standard of the catering (they make a mean salad!)and the overall friendliness of the staff.

    Cornflakes and coffee cost the same as a full cooked breakfast!

    "Having breakfast was like having breakfast in a Gestapo Camp with SS soldier keeping watch on every move. Could not relax. Food was good but expensive. would recommend a more relaxed atmosphere.     It provided a good standard of accommodation for the money. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent.

    The decor of the public rooms was twee, but not intolerable.

    Easy access from motorways, comfortable and nicely equipped rooms, free parking

    Room description not adequate (double bed instead of two single beds as in description, no hair dryer.

    Close to town and easy to get to from the motorway

    The bath rail was broken and the paint and paper in the bathroom were coming away from the wall.

    A very well presented , nicely furnished hotel.

    Our evening meal in the resturant was lovely , but the portions were a little small .

    It was easy to book rooms online, and easy to find. Good bar and reception area.

    We were told that breakfast was not included in price yet all the other members of our group had breakfast the next morning yet we all paid the same price for the rooms.
