    Great Location - perfect to explore Harrogate on foot.

    Staff engagement poor - with customers and each other! Showers were cold due to boiler failure, but guests were not advised! Had to queue for breakfast, due to lack of organisation in the dining room - unable to clear the tables at pace!

    The cost of £5.00 per day for parking. We have stayed at other hotels in similar situations who provide tokens or credits for guests.

    rooms clean

    car park was poorly lit when I arrived and it was not clear how to get into the hotel. This should be made clear on your web page

    Excellent position for the Harrogate Centre and the town centre. Hotel very clean, staff very polite and helpful, would definately stay here again.

    I booked a double room in advance and paid in advance via the internet. I received confirmation of my booking. We arrived and checked in and were told that there were no double rooms and that we would have to have a twin room. Highly unprofessional!!

    I took breakfeast at 6.30am it was very poor. It must have been cook the night before as bacon was ver hard, most of it was uneatable.

    Good breakfasts, public areas very clean, delivered selection of pillows so bed was very comfortable. Good location.

    The bedroom wall was sticky because something had been spilt on it. Though asked for it to be cleaned, not done. Also plumbing whined when either I or next door had a shower

    Polite and friendly staff with a good breakfast menu along with a very efficent team. We did not try the evening menu as Harrogate has many other options for an evening out.

    The hot water was hit and miss and we could not have a hot shower/bath on more than one occassion. The hotel is old and tired compared to other Holiday Inn Hotels we have stayed in. We believe the hotel is due for an upgrade soon and this will therefore resolve the bad points.

    Good food, some of staff nice and smilie, (especially cleaners, who asked if they could get in lift with us) lovely ladies!!!

    On check in, no apology for keeping waiting, (15 mins) all the staff member was interested in was seeing her friends car as her friend was showing it off. The lady who took over was lovely though. Some of breakfast staff surley. But manager nice enough.

    Well located for Home & Gift trade fair. Staff acted favourably under 'fire alarm' situation.

    The restaurant seemed unable to cope with the extra demand brought about by the trade fair. Unable to book a table (though there seemed to be plenty vacent tables around), we eat outwith the hotel on both nights.

    was very close to local amenaties. very clean rooms.

    fan was very noisy needing repairing so couldn't sleep with it on even though room was very warm, no alternative apart from windows open but it was raining and noisy extractors outside. very expensive bar!!

    "We were with a party all staying at the hotel. We ordered bagel sandwiches and caesar salad. The bagels were rock hard and the salad could not be described as a caesar salad. It was not good. The breakfast was excellent, could not be faulted. The only other comment I would like to make is that I could not get back into my room after breakfast - I had to get my card reprogrammed, most annoying having to go up to the 8th floor and then down again."     Our room was very clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. Only one pillow on the bed - could have had another one for comfort

    "Hotel car park too small. Didn't move car once parked for fear of not being able to repark there. During breakfast one morning there was a fire alarm, the guests evacuated the hotel quickly. However I was disappointed to see that the Dining room staff found time to collect their coats before leaving the hotel! (it had been snowing)." (97891009)

    very clean and tidy pleasant staff and very close to the conference cente

    The prices in the restaurant were a bit much but the food was good

    "This is a standard chain hotel and on the whole you get what you would expect. I printed off and took my e-mail booking confirmation and was glad I did as we were charged a different, and much higher, room rate for the Thursday and Friday nights. There was no problem and the bill was changed when I pointed it out but I was glad I had the proof to hand." (97120400)

    You know the kind of standard you are going to get in a chain hotel such as this.

    The walls were quite thin and we could hear people in other rooms - fortunately there were no all night revellers staying.

    "The hotel was in a convenient location for our purposes. It was far more attractive in reality than in the photo. As I would expect from a Holiday Inn, it was clean and provided everything that we needed." (97427525)

    It was fairly easy to find, clean and the staff were helpful.

    The room was a little cold and we had to park on the road as there was no room in the hotel car park.

    "The hotel was generally very good, we booked a standard double room but were allocated an executive room at no extra charge which was excellent. Very clean, modern hotel with all the facilities you would expect. We used the leisure club down the road which was also good. Breakfast was excellent - buffet style and had everything imaginable to eat. The hotel is in a central location within easy walking distance of the town centre." (97707682)

    Thought the accommodation was comfortable

    Being disturbed twice by house keeping 1 because the room hadn't been checked and i was told that we shouldn't have been allowed access to the room as it hadn't been checked even though we entered the room after two pm and the second time was by house keeping at 9.30 when the knocked and walked straight in even though it was an hour and half before check out.

    The hotel was well situated and easy to access from the train station. Close to restaurants and town centre and convenient for teh conference centre. Rooms are well fitted out; room service was efficient and good.

    I did not like the fact that it is an interconnecting room- this means I heard all of the sounds from the person next door, conversation and other. This means that there is no privacy nor can you sleep well.

    Well appointed clean large room with a wonderful view. Very good value for money.

    The parking was the only down side - could not get in the hotel car park which was full so had to park on the street and walk with a heavy case. Staff did provide a parking disc which helped.

    I was staggered by the incompetence of the dining room staff when a piece of toast caught fire in the toaster they had no idea how to tackle it or reasure gueasts they knew what they were doing.
