    Excellent location, good menu choice, room clean, staff friendly and helpful

    Very pleasant staff and room. Food in bar very good

    Not exactly a bad point but I had asked for confirmation on booking form for our dog who was with us but received nothing. When we arrived we were told we would have to pay £25 which seemed quite a lot for an animal. It would be useful to say up front just what the costs of taking an animal to the hotel will be

    The hotel was clean and tidy. We stayed in two inter connected rooms (to accommodate the kids); we had a pleasant stay. The hotel has a very good gym and swimming pool. This is not well advertised on the net, but excellent facilities available free of cost during our stay.

    Rooms are a bit overcrowded with so many lamps. Check out process was sub-optimal.

    Very well situated close to Handsworth and City Centre if you are driving. Facilities excellent, peaceful. Good parking facilities.

    Pricey - maybe the breakfast could be inclusive.

    we enjoy our stay but normally we have fridge facilities in the room

    Checking out was very slow due to only one member of staff on duty and the volume of guest .Please will the hotel try and improve the service during breakfast

    The room was very clean, a reasonable size and adequately equiped. Everything worked well.

    A failure to cope adequately with the numbers at breakfast. Bar staff were slow and had a rather unfriendly attitude. Poor selection of bar meals Difficult to find. Sprawling - a long walk from public areas to some rooms

    The hotel had been recently renovated so everything looking clean and fresh. Bed extremely comfortable...

    It took me a while to find the way in as the confirmation details had a different post code to what the hotel gave me when I rang them up for further directions...

    "Brilliant, staff were very helpful and polite, I will be definately returning here on my next trip to the midlands. The car park was very secure and it was free. The staff were great and they arranged all the taxis we required and even agreed to a late checkout." (97735550)

    Very recently refitted rooms, very clean.

    Minor snagging needed completion - such as TV tuning, door closure adjustment (some bedroom doors closed very fiercely and noisily) and corridor carpet appeared to need replacement, but we are sure this is all in hand.

The rooms in the hotel are in desperate need of renovation we were informed that work has commenced but it is a shame that was once a decent hotel has been allowed to fall into this state. Answer - clean the mold off the bathroom, mend the taps, get the cold water tap sorted and change your laundry" (97798072)

    Location

    Hot water comes out of the cold tap, towels were grey looked as though they had been used in a garage. There was black mold all over the bathroom. Sink taps did not turn off or on easily (dripping) not cleaned very well - hair around edges of bathroom. Wall paper starting to peel from walls.

    Good size rooms

    room was private and quiet. kettle in room was very dirty, although other things were fine.

    we booked a smoking room and had to return to the desk as we were given a non smoking room. The clerk wanted us to pay for update

    It was easy to get to, clean and value for money

    Whist in room a maid walked into our room, surely she shoudl hav eknown that the room was occupied. Tv didn't wowkr that well. Bathroom was dirty and not as clean as the last time I stayed.

    Fairly local to the event. Comparitively inexpensive.

    No fridge in the room. Would have been helpful to store babies food. View from window not great

    convenient to shops, nice room good wokring order of facilities. Staff were friendly, and quick check in/out. Had pay per view and free parking.

    "well the room was like something out of the 1940s, truly horid in design eveything brown.tv channels were all messed up,loads of dirt on the walls and loads of dirt on the radiator which was bent. brown wallpaper made me shudder along with the cupboards.The bathroom was not nice with someone elses pubes in the bath that made me cringe and the shower had athis black gunge stuff on it eww.overall what a rip off sleeping in a bus shelter is more value for money. 0 out of 10."     The constant noise from the heating, when it was on. Cracked sink with not enough shelf space in the bathroom
