    My only critisim was the fact that owing to two functions, our evening meal was served in a meeting room with no atmosphere, with one other couple. Athough the food & service were fine.

    Food was excellant and staff helpful

    Room very hot on first night but road to noisy to open windows,we were given small fan when we asked to change rooms. Room had not been serviced by 4.30pm and had to ask cleaner to do it.Extractor fan in bathroom not working

    Very friendly (particularly your foreign staff) and very handy for my work. Lovely conservatory.

    Just a shade down at heel, I thought, which is a pity, since the Hotel has a lot going for it. The approach to my room was not appealing, the landing area needing re-decorating. Nothing that could not be put right very quickly. A half bottle of Chablis (in my room) was too expensive in my view (c.

    Good facilities

    Limited Menu and over priced My room wasn't cleaned on day 2, when I called Reception I was told that they had no staff to clean my room but the Restaurant Manager would do it later, eventually a young lad arrived (just walked into the room without knocking) dressed in his Gym kit telling me he hadn't cleaned rooms before but he would have a go!! My bill included a meal that I didn't have (since refunded)

    The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms well laid out with good facilities. The restaurant is very pleasant and the food excellent.

    The hotel is very popular for weddings and we had a disturbed night from wedding guests shouting at each other outside in the early hours and coming back to their rooms the worse for alcohol, making a lot of noise. Having asked when we booked for a room at the rear away from this potential noise and not getting one, this was rather annoying.

    Hotel was in a lovely setting with plenty of parking, the food was delicious.

    We waited over an hour after check in time before our room was ready. Conservatory menu food was very expensive.

    breakfast was exceptionally good

    This overnight stay was a surprise gift for my 2 daughters aged 34 & 39, they arrived at the hotel at 16.30 to be told their room had not been cleaned, but they requested the bathroom to be serviced to enable then to get ready to go out, they had tickets for the Live Most Haunted Show being transmitted from Denbigh, this was done for them with the agreement that the Maid would clean the room in their absence. The maids pass key did not work so my daughters gave their key to her to allow her to do it later. They returned from the show at 02.30 to find the room was as they had left it some 8 hours earlier. after speaking to the Porter and the general manager who kindly put clean linen on whilst they waited, eventually getting to bed at 3am. The debris (drink cans, toiletries, and remains of food (pastry) previous guests had consumed) all over the carpet was not cleaned up. No discount was offered on check out and needless to say I will be following this up with the management.

    The hotel is beautiful and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was divine!

    Junior suites are very nice - but expensive at rack rate - look for discounts. Friendly staff. Conservatory very nice in which they have hosted large family reunion teas for us on several occasions vey nicely

    Mainly a wedding and conference hotel but still manages a welcome for individuals even when very busy. Restaurant in evenings lacks atmosphere. Bar service can be patchy.

    very warm and friendly

    The people in room next door (3 grils) were extremely noisy when they returned to their room at 2.30am. Woke us both up and kept us awake for over an hour until they went to sleep.

    Broken window catch meant the window rattled and made the room cold.

    The kitchen staff was excellent in making me something to eat at 10pm when I had had a long journey from Gatwick (5 hours) - it was most welcome.

    "Overall the hotel was good. I did find that arriving in the evening, I nearly drove past the hotel as the signage isn't very well lit. The car park was also very dark (although it did llook like there were lights fitted around it, but these were not switched on)" (97524085)

    The welcome I received on arrival

    I complained that my TV was not working, which I reported to a reception, I was told someone would come to my room within 10 minutes to sort out, they never arrived. I went to Reception to order a can of coke, I was told this would be delivered to my room, I had to chase for half an hour for this to be delivered. In my on line booking I specifically mentioned I would be leaving at 6.30 and requestested an early breakfast. On checking in, I was told breakfast was served from 6am. I arrived for breakfast at 6.10 there was not Milk/Coffee/ etc. The breakfast waiter arrived 6.20 when I was ready to leave and although very helpful said I should have made the Hotel aware I required an early Breakfast. I had also told the receptionist this, she must have know as she asked me to settle account the previous evening

    "The hotel was very nice, the waiter that was on duty that night was especially good and extremely helpful (sorry, don't know his name. Unfortunately, the meal I ordered was boeuf bourguignon (not sure of spelling), however the accompaniments should have been mashed potato and cauliflower cheese, and I actually received jacket potatoes and mixed veg - and although it was all very nice, it was still not as the menu stated. Finally, I had booked an alarm call for 7.30 for Thursday morning, and this was not carried out, so i wasn't particularly impressed by that. A large map of the area (with road names) displayed in the foyer would have been especially useful." (97718036)

    "The hotel meets its rating. Couldn't really fault much and it was a very pleasant stay. Quality of food was good except from the room service menu, which we considered poor after trying it (this was also partly due to a lack of choice). There wasn't really anything we would like to have know prior to our arrival; the bulk of what you do need to know is provided on the website when booking.     Spacious, neat and tidy, plenty of storage space and very comfortable.

    Cobwebs on window, dusty in some areas of the room, towel rail heater did not work in the bathroom, TV picture quality very poor.

    We were lucky to stay in the junior suite which provided luxury accomodation which could not be faulted

    "We had pre-booked a table in the dining room and would not again. We expected a relaxed atmosphere with good food. The noise coming from a private party made it impossible to relax also the food standard left a lot to be desired,I left my main course. It was a pity because the hotel was of good standard,had we been told that a private party woud be going on then we could have eaten at a local restaurant." (99590131)
