  "we found everything to be very comfortable and convenient.The decor was very nice and the staf very friendly with a nice busy feel to the place.The breakfast was excellant and very hot and non greasy irish breakfast.Altogether a very nice night away from home." (97390765)

  "As it was only an overnight stay to attend a funeral we were not much bothered about any entertainment or the hotel facilities we arrived quite late and left quite early next day so we dident pay much attention to that side of things But as we had stopped many years ago and were going to book a few nights but decided not to as it was in a terrible state we were very impressed with the upgrade of the hotel which as i booked trough internet i knew was looking very good i wasent disapointed i would recommend it to anyone Westport is one of my favourite places in the west of ireland and i will always be glad to return anytime."   Very clean central and above all it was quiet at night as we live in the country we very much appreaciate that

  Breakfast i ordered scrambled egg and salmon it was just about hot enough to eat but i had the feeling it had been sitting in the little bowl on a hot plate and not freshly made for me when it was ordered as i would have expected

  "Overall a very pleasing stay from start to finish and one which will be repeated at our earliest opportunity." (108036286)

  Excellent location,staff very helpful and obliging. Food great and breakfast delivered to room on time and piping hot. Room spacious and well decorated. Super value for money.

  "See above comments. Overall, I found the hotel pleasant and I really loved the town or Westport." (2544327)

  Room was well decorated and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly in answering questions about the town and the local area.

  I would really appreciate a clock in the room. This might just be something that is not done in Ireland as none of the places I stay had a clock. But American visitors would greatly appreciate this!

  "Westport is a fantastic town but has a huge traffic problem, you can park on the main street overnight until 10am but there are plenty of larger car parks behind the shops. The townis made up of two main streets and the Clew Bay Hotel is on one of them so the location is fantastic. The bars and restaurants in the area are some of the best I have been in, in Ireland. Definitely worth a return visit." (2469396)

  We stayed in a new refurbished wing of the hotel and the rooms were of a very high standard, we had a problem with one of the windows but this was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. The breakfast was very good too.

  I can not think of anything that could be improved.
