    "The room we were given at first had not been cleaned,the bed had not been changed as it was obvious someone had slept in it and there was rubbish in bin and in bathroom.We complained and were given another room which was ok except the remote control for tv didnt work.When asked by receptionist on leaving if everything was ok we advised her it was not but only got a reply of "Oh" and no apology or offer of a reduction in the bill as compensation. All in all it was very unsatisfactory compared to what we are used to. " (107864076)

    when we arrive reception staff very pleasant

    when we went to our room it was not ready and I was verbally abused by the cleaner in the room being told to go away the room is not ready in a very nasty manner. Reported this straight away back at reception where the matter was dealt with very well.

    Overall hotel excellent value and staff very helpfull

    After having ordered our evening meal we had to wait for about one hour before we received our meal, some people who came in after us actually waited for quite a while then they walked out without their meal

    The hotel and staff were excellent

    the only complaint is that the bar and breakfast is not large enough to accommodated the number of guests

    The furnishings were excellent and very clean. The location was perfect and the views lovely

    A little trouble with the electric, lights going off and on and some burned out bulbs.

    reception staff helpful room clean and nice bed, but pillows could be better. good air conditioning

    shower head support broken and impossible to have a proper shower. i did report it on checking out but i got the feeling it was not written down or recorded properly. also, i did not feel the person appreciated the frustration of this. at breakfast time the layout was not good and after serving yourself coffee you had to manouvre round tables to get to the milk - therefore milk at the table would be helpful - or even a pot of tea or coffee! the biscuits in the room were very cheap and nasty.

    Close to motorway so easy to drive to but not noisy. Bar area was wonderfully light and airy.

    Temperature gauge on shower was back to front, but didn't out smart us;0)

    Hotel very nice, staff very nice,

    Disappointed that there was no room service availabe and finished serving food at 10pm, also that the bar was closed at 11pm and there was no drinks or snack machine, Also on checking out hotel tried to charge us an extra £40 due to a tarrif change. Which we disagreed with this and she said she would not charge us the extra on this occassion.

    Decent room good location free secure car parking. Great value!

    "It was a lovely experience. Being so close to the venue saved so much hassle. The bar was open till 12.30am to residents only which was a great end to the evening." (107470063)

    Friendly and helpful staff, next door to the SECC, free City centre car park, good sized room and excellent value for money.

    Due to the roadworks and diversions in place around the hotel it was very difficult to find the entrance to the car park.

    "VERY disturbed night due to group of 5 young lads in the one room next door. They arrived back noisily at approx 2 am and partied through till 6:30 am. Suppose we were just unlucky, but hotel staff could be more vigilant." (107935768)

    The atmosphere at the hotel was really good and staff were friendly and helpful.

    The only bad point for us was that the hot breakfast had been kept "warm" for too long which made it rubbery and not pleasant to eat.

    Hotel was clean.

    Room was vert small. Housekeping staff don't knock at the door in the morning, just let themselves into the room!

    "For a budget hotel, it was great, clean and in general the staff were really helpful. However, things like number of pillows are important to people and this should be taken into consideration when room service is concerned." (107632402)

    Helpfulness of staff, being able to speak several languages, etc.

    Once housekeeping has gone home, it was impossible to get things like extra pillows.

    excellent location for exhibition centre and city centre

    early closure of hotel bar,it did not effect us but a few people did not arrive until nearer 12pm. might be advisable to let guests know in advance ie check in of early closure...just a thought

    "Generally stay was pleasant, rooms seems to be quite well soundproofed as we had people on either side and didn't hear a peep. Didn't get breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on food. The staff that we encountered were friendly and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. Although i've said that the room was a bit tired looking it was VERY clean as was the bathroom." (107655193)

    Room was clean and comfortable and larger than i expected it to be. It had a decent shower and I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was air conditioned.

    Room was a little tired looking and could have done with a fresh lick of paint. The tv remote had no battery cover and some missing buttons!

    Close to SECC, good value for money

    Breakfast was a little cold, and staff very slow at resetting tables- we had to take cutlery from another!

    clean hotel, very close to our venue, staff were helpful when asked but see below

    when arrived we were advised to book our table for our evening meal as can get very busy,after checking out the menu we all knew what we would order but when we went for our meal got told we could not order off of this menu only the pre-theatre menu was very disappionted as staff did not inform us of this, very limited menu choice if had known this we would have eaten elsewhere.
