    "we chose this hotel as we were going to see a show and it was in easy walking distance of the Tube station and also the theatre. the staff were very friendly." (97761435)

    the hotel was in a great position for all the London attractions and theatres.

    Quiet room. Comfortable bed

    the reception area and welcome was pleasant, the receptionist explained everything to us the staff were generally helpful although customer relations could be better.

    the decoration of parts of the hotel out of the reception area heading to the rooms and in the rooms needed freshing up, impression was of quality on first sight.there was a breakfast tray outside a hotel room on our arrival at 1.00pm and was still there at 6.30pm . we ate out.

    "The room was generally clean and comfortable. It was a good size. There was coffee and tea in the room. Complementary toiletries were very nice.The windows were not properly shut when we arrived making the room a bit drafty. This improved when I shut them properly but I noticed that the curtains were rather grubby." (97362022)

    It was ideally situated for restaurants, shopping and London Shows.

    The restaurant had a very limited menu for dinner. It was also empty and unwelcoming.

    "Had a lovely stay, would stay there again. One thing on the downside was that we were not shown or pointed in the direction of the Breakfast room, the bar etc....just given our room keys and directed to the lift." (97671158)

    Check in Staff were very smiley and cheerful,this combined with the roaring fire was really inviting ! All staff we encountered were very helpful.

    We were booked inot a twin room and were given a beautiful double....unfortunately as friends and nothing more we asked to be changed to a twin. Gosh we wished we hadn't ...the room we were given was not of the same calibre of the one we turned down. It was extremely small...not awful, but small.

    "We chose this hotel for the location and good value. The hotel has a grand feeling about it. Greeted by the concierge and dealt with pleasantly and efficiently at the checkin desk. The room was smallish but adequate, clean and comfortable. I'd stay there again." (97183723)

    It was straightforward with no complications, therefore nothing to concern ourselves with. The location was ideal for us as we went to Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

    "location was excellent but I would have preferred the hotel to have it's own car park, probably not practical in that part of London though. Even though the restaurant facilities were a little spartan in appearance, this was compensated for by the quality of the food itself which was cooked to perfection, and the service here was also noteworthy. The wine I requested was unavailable after a party had 'drunk them dry' the previous night, but I had a very good alternative anyway." (3304786755)

    It was very close to where I needed to visit, and just round the corner from Bloomsbury square park which especially in view of the weather was a great place spend the early evening

    "Overall we were very happy with this hotel. The room was clean although the double bed could have been bigger and I was dissapointed that there was no mini-bar. We were just unlucky that one of the lifts choose to stop working this weekend and we had to wait for some breakfast items to be cooked. However, the food was good when it came but a shame that we'd finished before the toast arrived. It's a pity the staff had to apologise for the delay as they were cheerful and very helpful."     We liked the location and the character of the building.

    "We booked 3 double rooms which were all described as executive - When we checked in ours was a large room and quiet - so no problems there, but our friends had a small noisy room and our other friends had to pay to upgrade to an executive room?! - all very confusing and inconsistent. Oh and the barman didn't know what a lager top was. Watching his various attempts was particularly amusing. Not that I would condone drinking lager top mind." (3014261)
