    "Absolutely worth the value" (108304864)

    Very good location! The rooms are very peaceful- no noise from the street coming into the rooms, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was with us included and was very good as well.

    Staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent.Plenty of time for breakfast and checking out. Did not feel rushed.

    Room a little shabby but fair. Noisy at night as next to Leicester Square. The bar shut without asking if we wanted a final drink (we were the only ones in there at the end of the night?!).

    "we arrived at the hotel at approx 13:30 hrs. we were in oroom within 10 mins and out into the west end in another 10mins the hotel is situated 5 mins from Picadilly circus, 2 mins from Leicester square and 10mins form Trafalga square. Ideal for all of the sights" (107538756)

    This hotel was right in the middle of the west end with all of the amenities right on the door step. the staff were efficient and polite at all times

    well at least i got a hotel room.

    Hotel was overbooked; They transferred me to a sister hotel, so i had to travel back in the morning; Room was not completely cleaned; The windows were old, so they let a lot of street noise in (beeping pedestrian lights - like an alarm clock every 5 minutes) - overall i wasn't able to sleep more than 4 hours. In the morning there was a queue at the breakfast room. Given that it was not my fault, the hotel staff could have been much friendlier.

    The room was clean and nice (although small). Surprising that the room could be so quiet and paeceful in such noisy surroundings.

    I was disappointed to find no tea-making equipment. It would have been nice to find two bits of chocolate (and not only one) on the pillow when we returned at night.

    Staff friendly and helpful. Good location.

    My room was cold at night as the heating did not work and the non-double-glazed windows let in draughts. It was also a very small room, which although supposed to be "Deluxe" was hardly that.

    staff were brilliant , very friendly and appologetic for our disappointment but beyond their control.

    a de-lux room was booked and it was a disgrace, you couldn't swing a cat in it the beds were hard if that was a de-lux room I would not have liked to see the others, the bathroom was well below standard. our stay in London was ruined especially as it was to be a 65th birthday treat.I would not recomend Thistle Piccadily to my worst enemy total waste of our hard saved money.

    Not enought drawer space, few coathangers, room not service unless we asked several times. Staff unable to assist with taxi's etc. Will not be staying at this or any other Thistle Hotel again. I work in the NHS and have told all of my colleagues about where not to stay in London.

    The room was excellent, a nice size and very clean. the staff were very welcoming and helpful. it is right in the heart of theatreland.

    Although very clean, the maintenence for me was not reflected in the price...ie there was a cracked tile on the bathroom floor, and the decor was slightly dated. this did not however ruin the stay in any way, the hotel was otherwise excellent.

    The hotel is in a great location, when we checked in we were told we had been upgraded to an executive double room instead of the standard double we had booked.

    The dining room used for breakfast isn't big enough for the size of the hotel. On the first morning we had to wait in a queue for a table. It was a buffet breakfast on Sunday morning, but on Monday morning it was plated for us.

    We were upgraded to a room as the staff found out it was our honeymoon weekend

    When our breakfast arrived it was cold. As we had ordered breakfast in our room for 0900 - 0930 we had to be on our way by 1000 so we were unable to ask for another breakfast due to time constraints which was disappointing.

    Hotel is central to theatreland. The rooms are well sound insulated and not overheated

    Breakfast tea was the worst i have tasted in any hotel in the last twenty years anywhere in the world. Even the replacement tea was barely satisfactory. The situation was made worse by serving tea in mugs that i would expect to find on a building site.

    Quite Spacious Room. Breakfast excellent including the service and friendliness of staff. Very convenient for Prince of Wales Theatre.

    Slow check-in. Shortage of staff at the bar. Decor needs updating in hotel and bedroom.

    the room was definatly not worth the money. We had to ask to change rooms cos the 1st one we were given was awful. Then the upgrade was ok but still not worth £120 a night!! would not recommend it.

    "Good location, but for me it ends there. A deluxe room was booked, but the room was unfortuantely dated and tired. I booked well in advance requesting a room with the view of Leiceter Square if possible, but was allocated the room on arrival based on smoking / non smoking, and they only managed a second floor. They are also grinding the front of the hotel facade, which started at 8am outside the rooms's window." (97904184)

    Location of the hotel is fantastic, just near teathers, restaurants, trafalgar square, etc.

    "we booked this hotel because it was just around the corner from the theatre we where going to. we had no idea that the hotel was in the centre of every place we had also hoped to visit on our trip. i think it would be a good idea to offer a small broucher of the hotel and its many beautifull and very close monuments, streets and buildings.     the room was nicely decorated and had everything in it.the view was fantastic and the bed was a really good size, the best i think we have slepted in.

Also at the time of our stay there was scaffolding outside our window which was a bit embarrassing using the toilet with workmen outside the window, but that would be a temporary nuisance."     Very central for theatre and shopping, within minutes walk of many theatres. All staff very friendly and helpfull.Rooms/beds very clean. Excellent breakfast.
