    Spacious room and excellent location

    No double glazing so heard every announcement from the bus station below, breakfast was basic fare in what is meant to be high quality hotel.

    Great location and reasonable price

    Bath plughole was clogged so water took ages to drain away and showering meant the water level rose over the ankle. Bathroom extracter fan not working, turned bathroom in to a sauna after a shower. Bathroom fittings seen better days. Would have complained, but were not spending enough time in the place to bother.

    Not enough room here. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was a disgrace and the staff not much better.

    Clean, comfortable, no noise from other rooms (although was fully booked), excellent location right next to the station but no noise or problems from there. I need to return to london for a number of courses this year, i will be booking here again.

    Initially was put in a smoking room although requested a non-smoking room. They were fully booked on the first night so couldnt move me, but did move and upgrade me for the second night. Whilst it was very annoying to get the smoking room in the first place I cant fault the service I recieved when I complained.

    Superb location, right next to Victoria Station and the Theatre's. A statuesque hotel. A Very good Breakfast and given London prices exceptional value.

    Good location, traditional decor

    No trouser press or iron. Badly sprung bed mattress, no biscuits and inadequate selection of tea and insufficient mik in room

    The location was perfect if you are to take the train.

    It was not specifically stated in the website that the Hotel has an access inside Victoria train station. We could have saved a few pounds.

    It seems that the rate I paid was higher than most of the other guests. Perhaps it would have been cheaper to book through an agent rather than online?

    Room so small as to be ridiculous. Terrible value for money Poor in-room service - ordered extra toiletries that were never received Coffees and danishes over breaskfast meeting were very very expensive

    Beautiful historic building located perfectly good access to theatres etc Staff helpful and charming good facilities for meeting rooms bars and restaurant

    Up graded from standard to Executive Room at an extra cost of £30. It was poky and small and looked over the station with announcements and smells of burgers coming into the room.I hate to think what the standard room was like. Shame on such a potentially good hotel. A suggestion: why not let potential customers view the room internally and externally plus size of room prior to booking on line rather than potluck when you arrive.

    The hotel since staying a few yrs ago has improved its cleanliness dramatically.

    The £248 for a double room was expensive and I have stayed in nicer and larger rooms in london for £180-£200 difficult to see why its more expensive??

    "The hotel looked pleasant when I first entered however the rooms were dated and dirty. The corridors and communal areas in the upstairs of the hotel were old and smelly. The room service I received gave me food poisoning, and this wasn't even knocked off my bill. The hotel was not of a 4 star standard and I would not recommend staying there. I will not be returning."     Clear,simple online booking system. Location and close to underground.

    No air conditioning. Rooms and services compare very poorly with others in this price bracket. Staff helpful, but in several cases difficult to communicate with.

    The architectural structure of the hotel

    Old and archaic furnishing and the TV was bad, and no fridge in room. The carpets in the hotel need urgent replacement especially on the 3rd floor.

    It was clean and comfortable.

    TV was small, the hand control was old and worn, so that it could not be read. We were not in our room much, so that was not a big problem.

    The room was nice for the age of the hotel. It was well kept as such. I did appreciate that I did not have to contend with noise from other rooms. I also like the location of the hotel. It is convenient to a variety of places.

    Room was Ok and comfortable

    It was too hot and the windows would not open, there was no hot water either day despite being reported and it took 20 minutes to book in with only one person in front of me.

    Parking was terrible and the directions given by the hotel staff to the car park were wrong! Parking is also a distance away from the hotel!
