    "As it was a last minute booking, I'd have expected a better deal. We could have gone to a nmber of hotels for the sme price and got a bigger room. If you keep the price competitive,we'd use the Menzies Strathallan again, or give us a bigger room - we were tripping over our luggage!" (108653064)

    Lounge, foyer, ground floor all in excellent taste. Privacy excellent, staff response excellent. Loved the art-work in the foyer

    Room too cramped, I would have expected to pay less for the size of room. The tv was off to the side of the bed, gave us a crick in our neck watching it.Only Irish papers at breakfast! Didn't know about choice of egg until I'd eaten the only watery tasteless scrambled egg on view, would have preferred fried egg, not boiled or scrambled - the rest of the menu was fine, thanks

    We complained when we were charged car parking which they ignored. Next morning we informed reception, extractor fan not working and toilet flush works intermittantly.Manager busy but will phone later.Still waiting!

    Clean room, good food and very good value for money

    Hotel bar understocked and bar staff undertrained, i asked for a bloody mary and they didnt know what that was, when i explained they had no tomato juice! No guinness or pear cider either!

    Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Dinner well presented and tasty. Friendly and helpful staff.

    VERY small room, very hot - no air conditioning. Ventilation restricted by catch on window. Mediocre breakfast ( buffet style - does not stay hot, but the same as most hotels these days!)

    Waiting staff in restaurant EXCELLENT,food EXCELLENT quality and value. Reception staff very good and helpful

    appalling manner from Reastaurant Manager, surly, rude and indifferent to us AND fellow staff. We were advised that we could have a continental breakfast in the restaurant, or tea and biscuits in the foyer by the receptionists, Restaurant manager overruled them, saying"far too busy, its a full buffet breakfast or nothing" Room Very small and airless, far too hot to sleep

    Impersonal atmosphere, room small but functional, no options offered by staff for breakfast menu eg eggs cooked to order or poached haddock / kippers which I would have fancied, buffet was luke warm and not appetising, plates were cold

    Whilst accepting this was a promotional price for a weekend break, food for the Saturday dinner was poor. Small 'double' rooms.

    Very near the city centre and a good pub with great pub grub directly across the road

    Room was fantastic and tastefully modern with decorations.

    Just as a suggestion but I think you need to invest in lcd tv and put them at the end of the bed or on top of ironig cupboard. as where the tv was in the room it was quite awkward to watch. Also when looking at the window the view was abit grey and dreary. Could do with a lick of paint or some plants to brighten up.

    "The hotel stay itself was fine but I think a review of how to deal with disruptive abusive guests is needed. The response from the people on Reception following morning was 'You didn't go out and confront them did you? Only some guests did and they were abused too' I didn't think this was an appropriate esponse at all." (107923498)

    Room was very comfotable and hotel was very well refurbished

    I was woken up at 4 am by guests in a room nearby watching TV. That was sorted after a call to security but I was kept awake by other guests screaming and shouting abuse. This took a long time for hotel security to sort out.

    breakfast was good - food quality good Bathroom was clean

    no ordinary twin rooms - needed to share with daughter or pay extra. Hotel telephoned to let me know this in advance. Told couldnt cancel as needed two days notice however on the AA site and my confirmation it clearly says could cancel with 1 days notice. Felt like I was on the inside of a polo mint and view from window was the worst I had ever experienced. The duvet cover should have been white but was a clean but tired grey. Thought that paying extra to park was detrimental to feeling good about staying - include it in the price if you must but it is a very bad extra to be charged for.

    Clean. Easy to park

    I wasn't allowed to put my bar drinks on the room bill, and the reason was not explained to me. At the time of booking I was invited to make any special requests, and I asked for a room with a table/desk I could work on (with no guarantee this would be provided though). The room I was in had a table but it was more than half occupoied by a massive tv because the bracket on the wall was broken. When I complained of this, the hotel said it had never received my request in the first place!! Pretty stupid huh?
